Great site! Lots of room- table, fire ring. Right on the river- which is gorgeous. No bugs this weekend.

Very peaceful location, the campsites are all on grass, but it appears people just drive on the grass to get to them. We chose to just park at the far end of the park away from the entrance on the gravel. Lots of porta pottys and garbage cans throughout the park. At the end where we parked there is a pit toilet that's decently maintained. You will want to call your stay in though the sheriff came by after park hours, and in the morning but didn't talk to us as we told them we would be here. Also GPS was confused tried to make us turn into a field, just look for the county park signs on the road. Donations are appreciated $10 a night (see photo).

A couple of restrooms, outdoor showers and feet rinsers along the way. Came with no one at the beach and it was amazing. Not a horrible amount of seaweed. No water quality issues during my visit.

Cracker Barrel parking lot. Great place to stay overnight and get a great meal. We stayed in our 36 ft travel trailer. If you have a quiet inverter generator, you can run your a/c without disturbing the customers or the store management.

Very nice place in the cañon. Don't forget to bring enough water - the river you can only see and hear.

Amazing, clean English speaking shop. Very helpful and will do everything to help. Safe shop to leave your van overnight if you need more days. Don’t think you can sleep here though.

Lovely wild camping spot under a 900 year old Baobab. Just off the road. Provides good shade and very quiet. We stopped on our way from Kubu to Gweta.

Go the track further ca. 150m over a hill and you find nice big, flat places before the descent to the wood. Quiet, far from the road. Beautful view over the lake to the mountains. some cow-bells. Fireplace. The rough track may not be suitable for all cars. Check first, mainly in rainy season.

Camp with electric, showers, etc. A little confusing since there is no site map. Drove around aimlessly to find a non-electric site, then had to drive back to pay station.

Nice little stopover with a new snack identical to that of Ile d'Orleans. Only small vehicles (less than 25 feet) and 100% autonomous are allowed. No tents and caravans Approximately 5 spaces available at the end of the parking circle. A sign indicates the authorized place.

We visited Las Labradas archeological site, (worth a stop, 85 pesos entrance p/p) and asked if we could camp on the beach nearby so they opened the gate to let us take the trail. Great place on the sandy terrace overlooking the beautiful deserted beach. sadly someone dumped garbage by the trail nearby. Sandy trail is a bit soft, use 4x4 and if possible deflate your tires.

Stayed on this parking area away from main road. Very quiet. Lots of begging dogs. Shady and flat. Restaurant not in action. Walked up to Enguri dam past security. It provides 40% of Georgia’s electricity and much of it for free. Apparently gets full in July/August and is at its lowest in Winter. Storm force winds whipped up (only) in middle of night and morning and was incredible. Not suitable for pop-tops and tents. (June) Calm again by 7.30am. There is a good screw water tap next to security. I am sure if asked nicely they would permit a fill up. There is a further constantly running tap without screw further up near abandoned hotel. Lovely cold fresh water.

This spot was definitely not what I was expecting, in a good way! The drive here seemed a bit sketchy, tons of cows & junk, but once I got to the lake there was a festival going on. I thought it was going to be a boring night but there were tons of RVs, boats , trailers, and vans. There was a concert, booze, food and good people having a good time. Felt extremely comfortable and safe. Pit toilets near by but no other amenities. Good cell service, 3bars at&t.

This pin has the best written directions to these sites. Maps apps will get wonky but it’s super straightforward using this post. No problem in a prius. There are over a dozen sites, but it’s a very popular spot. Arrived around 1600 on a Thurs and it seems to have filled up just after I parked. How about we try and Leave No Trace, you filthy fuckers.
