Very narrow roads to get there. Potholed track goes clockwise around the lake. several spots but this one is well hidden and right at the lake that is popular with fisherman. Park in a shady spot or near a concrete platform. Some rubish but quite and peaceful. Only for recommended small vans and 4x4.

but we ask the next Restaurant if it's ok to stay and was noch Problem. had a nice evening in the Restaurant NAOMIAHE. was ok to use the Toilette till there was open. nice spot close to the lake

Spent the night here in our camper van. Completely empty at night and in the morning we biked on the nature trails, it’s a beautiful spot!

Very nice rv park. Laundry,free showers and cheap car wash. Has free WiFi or pay for faster. You can book online. We will definitely stay here on the way back down.

Slumgullion, Deer Lakes, Hidden Valley. Three cg in close proximity over 11,000 ft. Elev. We just checked Slumgullion out but did not stay. Incredible views of snow covered peaks but the area is not so pretty. It is eerily deserted but there is no closed sign. The first cg is decimated by the spruce bark beetle and looks like no one has been here for awhile- broken tables, dead trees, but there is a clean, modern outhouse that has not been serviced since 5/21 according to door sign. I would expect that the others look the same. I am sure they are free, no one is here. The pullouts are impassable and the campground loop is not maintained. Must get pretty cold and windy at night. It is June at 11 AM and the temp is 50 degrees. I think this would be an awesome, surreal place to stay! Like a Twilight Zone episode- everyone just vaporized!

Wow! Amazing views of the San Juan mountains! Groves of Aspens shaking in the breeze. Stop here. Restroom and picnic tables. Take a moment, put down your camera and soak in the beauty.

County campground, on Lake San Cristabol. $20 a night. 31 sites. Small sites, close together, but great location. Open May 15- Sept. The sites 1-6 are nice and roomier. Sites 27-31 are bad. You will not like those- part of a day use parking lot. A lot of ATV traffic.

There is also free camping in BLM if you drive past the cg, really pretty, near the river. It looks like camping is also allowed at a pullout with picnic tables above the river.

So glorious! I did not see one person or car in days. Road is a little challenging but my 23’ Class C handled it without a problem.

Dormi uma noite aqui, a rua é sem saída mas no final tem espaço e se pode manobrar para voltar. NÃO É UM LOCAL PARA GRANDES MOTORHOME, VANS GRANDES ETC !!! No momento existe placas de proibido estacionar porém os pescadores locais me falaram que é tranquilo....máximo te vão avisar e pedir que saia...É BAIXA TEMPORADA E MEIO DE SEMANA...ao lado do canal e a frente está a praia de Boiçucanga. this is an older shopping center with plenty of room in this well lit lot. The sign support pole has a functional electric outlet. there are no 'no overnight parking' signs. its quiet.

community recreation center on the campus of Jackson State University. it has free wifi. a day pass can be purchased for use of the facilities including the lovely locker room.

There are no “no overnight parking” signs. I didn’t stay overnight but stopped for lunch. There are 2 porta-potties on site which were very clean and well stocked with toilet paper and hand sanitizer. A couple of trash cans and several picnic tables. It’s right on highway 89 but traffic is usually light, this is not usually a heavily travelled Hwy. Very pleasant spot to stop. I got 2 bars of cell service (Fido (Rogers)).

Google Maps takes you out of the way — take 215N until it deadends, turn left toward “River Ridge Campground”

When I arrived there was one camper down near the toilets so I camped on the far side. Within 10 minutes, a huge family appeared and set up at every site adjacent to mine despite 8 other free sites. Dad was weed-wacking the national forest for 45 minutes. Now it’s been downpouring on their tents for the last two hours. Anyway. It’s free and beautiful along the river.

Pretty little spot. Just under 1 km from the highway. There’s a short recreation trail on the opposite of the river to a small set of falls. You have to walk or drive out to the highway bridge to access the trail. Definitely some mosquitos but it’s not awful. Don’t leave anything outside though. A bear munched on my hygiene bag while I was out for a morning jog and I was gone only an hour.

It’s a nice open space in residential part with nice view. Really quiet during the night. No one told us anything. It’s a nice spot for one night when you visit this area

We decided to take the speedboat from Sierpe to get to Drake because of these warnings. Being here now, I see several delivery vans and 7.5t trucks. Talked to the drivers and they all drive here regularly without any issues during rainy season.

Great breakfast place with an awesome view over the jungle. Possible to spot some birds. Free WiFi and good food.

Same access road as per iO C35 Wild Camp, but out out of sight of anyone using the road.
Look for a faint jeep track to the right and around the hill. One can park your vehicle in a sunken area next to a little dry stream of the Aap river. We spent 2 peaceful days here without seeing soul.
