Great spot with a fantastic view over the valley. There are several spots along the dirt track, as more clearance you have, as further
you can go. First spots, you still can see the highway, but it's far enough that you won't really hear it, wind will be louder. ATT Signal, between 3-4Bars.

Delicious and creative restaurant. They Have local and vegetarian dishes with quinoa. The portions are fine and the price is low. Staff is also really friendly and the restaurant nicely styled.

On our way from Bogota to Salento we had trouble with the breaks of our van. We found this mechanic on Google. He help us and immediatly and the pricing seemed fair to us.

Flat spot near a river in the middle of the cactus and cows. Dirt track to access it is in good condition. Very scenic, secluded and quiet. LTE is available from time to time.

Good restaurant where you can eat fondue de queso ( vegetarian is possible). They have artisanal beer. The staff is very friendly. We recommend to try.

a great little spot. could fit a few smaller rigs here. used a couple lynx levelers to get the RTT level.

No trespassing sign on the road due to mining activities.

Got there at sunset and initially looked like a good spot, a few locals on the beach, nothing crazy. BUT as the tide came in the road completely flooded as water rose up through the marshes on either side. Happed fast too, was passable when we got there but not even 20 minutes later was under water. Literally had to wade back to our van parked up road from the iOverlander coordinates. Did not stay the night.

Best professional camp in the oast 20.000 miles. worth every single Dollar. imagine : free showers and Pool in the Module of the desert and tonight free Cineasten movie with free shuttle Bus. BRAVO Gouldings

They asked us as many questions as on an airport, it was hilarious.

Amazing view of the Lake!!! But the road to get here is bad, not the worst, but a lot of pot holes an rocks, but no 4x4 required. We slept for one night alone. No claro 4G signal. Do not get here after 5pm because the control gate closes. 5 soles per person per day. There is a mini market we’re you can find some snacks and drinks and apparently you can have a meal in the Refugio.

Comfy, huge rooms, very clean both room and bathroom, boiling hot showers, decent wifi, let me take my bicycle into the room. Not sure about parking but lots of space in the back at least for motorcycles, very sure for cars, too. Paid 35soles for a double room probably possible to negotiate but found it well worth it for what you get. Quiet, a bit of the centre but 5 minute walk to the Plaza de Armas. Recommended.

I added the address because across the way is another Pilot/Flying J. They are doing some remodeling it looks like.
We parked way in the back so the big rigs could get the closer spots. We felt safe the entire evening. Nobody seemed bothered by us.

As others have described, this place is a nice provincial park which is heavily wooded. Access to the beach is either by road or a steep dirt path. It’s short but will get you lungs going and heart beating…

35 sites amongst trees with fire pits and tables, very close to the lake. Pit toilets and drinking water. No cell coverage on telus. Self registration $23

Very beautiful place. I went there by bike from the direction of the sea. There was a bit of a climb before, but it was definitely worth it.

Very nice coffee shop with good internet and delicious cafe, hot chocolate and deserts anddd sandwiches. Great place to come hang or work
