Really safe and friendly place to rest, when travelling the PanAm. Roberto and Gladys are great hosts. Motorcycles park inside the lounge, all other kinds of vehicles inside the compound. A few basic rooms to rent, protecting you from the cold and wind if you don't feel like putting up a tent. They offer you meals, coffee/tea and their friendship. If you don't need to overnight, at least stop for a coffee and a good talk. The doors of the compound are shut, but they're always there: just knock!

One of the best provincial camps. Some camp spots are shared but most are very private with table and fire pit. Showers are for free, bathrooms clean. We came on a Wednesday as a walk in but could stay 2 nights. One night is $35.

Yep highway noise. It’s a lot - nothing fancy but it will do. I got two bars of t-mobile cell access.

Very cool quite spot, do NOT take a low vehicle up here you will not make it past the main rock lot, a lot of ruts, SUV’s only really. My 2wd 4 runner worked fine, great great view. WATCH OUT FOR LITTLE CACTI OUCH!
Some fire pits are in camping spots some don’t, suggest going to the right once you pass the rock lot and stay going right and you’ll see it open up to e good view point to camp! Enjoy

Yes, nice wild camping place in a region where they are difficult to find. It's not completely level but big enough to find a nice place.
Calm place, nobody bothered us. You can hear the main road but that's okay

This is a beautiful location, fire pit, shade and amazing views, water available at nearby primitive campgrounds

it's just behind the main building. it took them some time to realize that we where in the wrong building, but all are very friendly.

We stopped here and a friendly police man came and told us we are not allowed to camp here. Its a great spot green lawn and big trees with shade.

Impossible de monter en voiture (trop de gros graviers et cailloux), mais on a garer la voiture en bas de la côte.

Impossible to going up with the gravel, too much. So we parked the car onside of the road.

This place is exactly as previously described. We are here in early Sept and the mosquitos are too bad for us to do much outside. We retreated to our van for the night as there is no wind.

A must must stay! Such a lovely campsite right on a private little beach. Stunning views and such friendly staff. 10 000 RWF per person per night. Bathroom with hot showers. They also make a bonfire for you every night. Can take a walk into the town, as it’s super close

Rather than turning left into Negwegon state park just keep driving straight down a long, narrow, one lane road. 4 wheel drive only probably, quite sandy. Many places to pull off along these roads & set up camp. Gorgeous trees. Stayed the night here. Probably made/used by hunters.

Very nice coffee shop, friendly staff, very good cappucchino, homebaked cakes and a good menu. They also have a small shop inside. You can sit inside or outside.
We can recommend to stop here :)

sadly its closed at the moment. people here say it's because of renovation and maybe they open again in december.

buena gasolinera para pasar la noche. nosotros nos quedamos nada más entrar, sim llegar a la gasolinera propiamente dicho, entre un autobús ( parecía un poco abandonado) y un contenedor. no escuchamos barullo de camiones , raro en una gasolinera. había ducha en el baño de mujeres( no lo usamos). el baño estaba un poco sucio, todo hay que decirlo, pero...

A big rig could fit in here. But not many more without risking blocking people in.

Free WiFi available from the public Library. Accessible from the small gravel lot outside. Probably not enough room for a bus or trailer but fine for a van.

sign says water is potable but just a heads up that it smelled and tasted a bit like algae when we filled up our jug.

Excellent facility. Dump pipe is low to the ground with an adjacent rinse water tap. Potable water is just a few meters away. This tourist InfoCentre also offers a picnic area complete with tables, a bicycle repair station as well as garbage and recycling bins.

A large parking lots near a wonderful trail. Spent a couple of nights, busy until about 8 PM, then it gets quiet. Close to a road but it gets very quiet by 9 PM. A wonderful place to take a dog on a morning hike. 2 bars on Verizon.

Both gas stations are still cash only. ATM at the plaza.

TRAIN WITH BLARING HORN HOURLY ALL NIGHT LONG. Having said that, it's a charming campground with a shower and dump station, but no sleep was had this night.

According to the posted "Downtown Parking" regulations after 17:00 pm parking is no longer allowed.

Ontario Hwy 631, approx 45km N Hornepayne, N Nagagamisis Prov Park, 20km S of Hwy 11. Beautiful quiet spot on Crown Land. Signage approves camping. Lovely lake, small boat launch, perfect for canoeing. Not much grass. Fire pit. Beach area. Can pitch a tent, ideal for small camper or RV .

Nice rest stop for the night, parked over by the Denny's side, quiet night, toilets reasonably clean and staff nice, wifi was very good, was using it late at night 11pm/12am and was able to do a full zoom meeting on it, bit slower in the morning when more people here, overall very good spot

There is lots of grass, garbage and recycling bins, a picnic table, and room for several vehicles. We didn’t see any deer or geese, but heard the geese overhead practicing for their winter flights. We smelled a skunk during the night. Take care if you have dogs. There is a nearby railway, so we heard trains (no horns) during the night. Overall, it was a good stop.

Nice DNR campground, so free but need Discovery Pass. 10 sites nicely spaced out, 2 pit toilets. Some spots more private than others. Most can accommodate big rigs or multiple vehicles. Host site but no one there. Also water spigot but off; both could because it’s after Labor Day..? Nice mix of sun and shade. Tables and fire rings. Easy access, any vehicle. ATT service
