Loudest campground....trash pickup and construction noises starting at 8 am. Many people over 50 in big rigs. Fine for an overnight

Nice big level grassy shoulder with no houses on the street and a cemetery directly across the street, very quiet, no signs saying no parking overnight.

Easy overnight spot. Road noise calms down and I didn’t hear trains, but an eighteen-wheeler came around midnight to run their engine til morning. They also had a visitor truck w headlights on for a long while. Annoying, but expectable. I heard coyotes before they showed up.

Still exist!
Super service cleaning our motorhome after a huge salt bath on the ferry. They cleaned the engine as well and we’re very careful cleaning around the inlets of refrigerator. They hardly could reach the roof of our car (3,10) but got small ladders to do that as well.

This camping place is a bit like a little paradise en earth. We could park our RV there and use the hot showers and toilets - very clean. We also had diner at the owner place as well as a very nice discussion. Our 3 kids loved the river which is a 5 to 10 mn walk, the animals - pigs, goat, sheep, dogs, and baby cats.
We paid for one night and diner for 5 people 45 000 pesos.
We loved it.

second night update:
The second night was Saturday night. It was very busy and loud until 1:00 p.m. You will definitely need ear plugs if you want to sleep. Restaurants and car music was quite loud. even for me. looks like weekday nights are the best to stay here.

Stayed here last night which was Friday night. Got here around 530 pm. Parked the car and checked with attendant and police if it was secure. They said it was all good. walked all the way to Pyramid door 4 and 5(about 25 min walk). set up my RTT, all good. can be little noisy but I sleep deep. no problems. yes, church bell rings every hour. in the early morning drove to pyramid gate 2 so I can walk the pyramid. it's best to enter st Gate 1.

Guy immediately came out with a hose when we pulled up which was a nice break from repeated fills with our carboy/beer bong. 80 liters for 40 pesos.

The new operators have made continual improvements to this place. The bathrooms are cleaned daily and the garbage is dealt with promptly. The sani dump does exist but it is a hard to find pipe sticking out of the ground, and is currently by a large steel tank near the entrance. We took fish that we caught to the restaurant and they did an amazing job cooking it for us. As this place is out of town, it is very quiet and the star show is amazing. The rate is $200 mxn/person. The two large casitas are $850 mxn/night and have their own bathroom. The smaller colourful casitas are $650/night. Kayaks are available for use. The operators are here 24/7. Lots of coyotes in the area.

Tiny restaurant with cabañas. We didn’t stay at the cabañas but the restaurant is great. The smoked salmon is smoked in house and the lettuce is grown organically on the property. The oysters are top notch too! The property is really pretty with lots of flowers and very well taken care of. Not right on the water like some of the other places but still just as lovely, and the owners are super nice!

Motorcycle taxi from sannequille to border is 1.500LD. The first part of road is pothole - free highway, but the second half is horrible bumpy/dusty road.

Crossed the border without needing the Laissez-passer. Nobody even mentioned it. Only passport with visa and covid vaccination needed.

Ivory coast side expected bribes at customs, but with some patience and jokes I managed to get through without paying extra.

The road to Danané is a nice big and even dirt road. Paid 12.000xof for mototaxi. There's a gate on the road, where my driver paid another 1.000xof.

Motorcycles mechanic and shop, we went here to change an inner tube and buy some spare parts. The owner (Douglas) is super friendly and helped us a lot, he knows the area very well and gave us advices on routes to take in serra Canastra national park. The shop is famous in the area, recommended!

This was a beautiful place just off the freeway. Don’t use google maps as it will take you in from the north end and it’s a 20-30 minute drive on a dirt road. If you come in off Tangerine Rd it is a 5 min drive in.
