Plenty of locals go up here with normal cars so very possible with 2wd, but maybe not with a heavy 2wd overland vehicle. For our Land Cruiser very easy going.

Nice forested area in the hills with plenty of room all around, you can drive as far as you'd like. Not many flat spots but enough if you look around the area. Many locals picnicking during the day but completely quiet at night. Good internet reception with Asiacell.

Big supermarket just before Lusaka. It is a superstore.

very nice and quiet campground directly at the lake. We spent several days here and used it as our base for daytrips to Iguazú and the jungle. The owners are very friendly and helpful, gave us fresh avocado from their tree and firewood. It has hot showers and WiFi.

Otari is added twice in iOverlander. This one is the wrong one. Location not correct. Nothing there. The correct one should be in Zestaponi. Admin, delete this record please.

Super friendly host. Power was stable, but the outlets were a little worn. Very low water pressure. Starlink worked great here. Some road, city, and train noise, but not bad. Gate locked at 7:30. Felt very secure and safe.

This place is a bit further east from “ lost paradise” but is not so exposed when the wind blows from the south. It is facing due west.

A 4x4 is required if you wish to stay on the beach , but with a 2WD there are options to stay right behind the beach, literally a few meters . The spot also offers shaded areas .

From lost paradise it is less than 2km. The track between the two waypoints has a narrow (tiny) spot because of being washed away , still wide enough for 4x4 and van , but would probably hesitate with something bigger than 2.10 mtr wide van. There is an approach from the main road which is only good for 4x4 after the helipad . Access point (36.7714840, 27.8503244). Before the helipad the road is fine, even for big rigs , but you won’t get to this beach location as after the helipad the track gets steeps and uneven because of water damage.

beach was to ourselves although there are signs of visitors, some rubbish and fire pits.

At the fork in the road , you turn right to this location , following the track to the left will end up on a pebble beach , suitable for vans etc. See last 3 pictures

No possibility to enter without a ticket. The first checkpoint from the mainroad denied aft make se telephones it the archeologist.

nice secluded spot. quiet. 4x4 not necessary. saw a wild boar and a couple of rabbits. other spots along the road.

Awesome place, very quiet and peaceful, but a couple cars did come for a short visit to the tower. Spectacular sunset and sunrise from the tower. Shady, level parking, no amenities. Good cell service.

Great spot. Pre-season so very calm. There is a very clean portable toilet now

Nice Place to have a view over Luanda. They don’t allow dogs.

There is some Military stuff, but not that much.

We only wanted to park here to visit the city, but there are electricity cables at the entrance. Not possible for our truck with a height of 3.55 meters. We parked in the street. I think the cables are at a height of about 3 meters. So no problem for smaller cars.

Lots of places, some with fire ring. Some are very level and others require leveling blocks. Nice trees, beautiful views, and some wild cows roaming around.

Our front-wheel drive RAM Promaster made it fine, we took it slow! There were a bunch of people camping in a variety of rigs and cars, not sure why this place is not updated frequently on here... It's great! There was a longer-ish RV as well but don't know what the max length should be.

Use "satellite mode" on Google maps to locate the dirt road on the left of the Mineral Canyon Road. This dirt road connects in a V a bit into the field to another dirt road further up. For us, the left road was easier to drive on.

There are signs that say Don’t park on the grass so we found a concrete pad in the SE “extension” of the park. Had a quiet night apart from 3 trains. Did not see a single person the whole time we were here. It’s a perfectly acceptable place to camp for a night.

Must reserve campsite for overnight stay. Easy on/off I-70. Paved gravel roads to well maintained campsites. Quiet. Stayed at site 13 at end of road. Great views.

Playón para estacionar vehiculos frente al río, viene gente a pescar pero a la noche se van ,es tranquilo y seguro, buena iluminación, a unos pasos de la oficina de prefectura, pasamos dos noches muy tranquilos, la vista en hermosa, atardeceres soñados.

Stayed at the plaza for a quite night. But be aware that city life starts already at 6 am.

Lodge directly at the water, with nice bar and rooms with sea view. Campsites are either at the top of the dune or even closer to the water (4x4 needed for steep street down to the water and to navigate in sand)

Police checkpoint. Not friendly and gave us a grilling for not having fire extinguishers on our bikes. Said they would give us a ticket and really checked our passports and driving licences

They seemed to be trying to find a way to get something from us. Be wary but patient - we left after 5 minutes of them holding our passports etc

Good location on the beach. Paid R300 for the site . Basic ablutions and each site has power . Gets busy and noisy on weekends

Great spot if you can be inconspicuous. One of those spots that could easily be ruined if too many people abuse it. Arrive after library close and leave before it opens. I’d say good only for vans or cars or very small RVs.

Public park is just beside the library and has a washroom with flush toilet and a sink which is directly behind the library. Looks like you can’t park at the park but can park at the library. Wifi was strong even in the parking lot.

As mentioned, right next door to the sheriffs and firefighters. Firefighters were having some sort of event in the park next door and nobody approached me.
