Ghana —-> Côte d’Ivoire
We got tro-tro (local mini bus) from Agona to boarder (had to change twice). All prices were listed and locals seemed fair with not trying to scam you. Ghana boarder was simple and getting into Côte d’ivoire was a bit harder. We were asked a lot of questions as students - how are we paying for our travel and what we are doing. Only issue was we didn’t speak French (yeah smart). A local ‘helped’ us out. Wouldn’t leave us alone until we gave him some cash. Was a classic boarder crossing experience. Paid 6000 for a shared taxi to Abidjan.

We had a wonderful stay at Philips house. He was not home homself but made sure his housekeeper was there to receive us.

We had a very nice evening with his housekeeper and sharde dinner and some drinks together, what a lovely home!

Bridge with a maximum weight of 2 T. If you have a high clearance you can drive in the right side by the rio to continue the track.

Mauricio is a very competent and precise Kombi mechanic. He got our engine back into top shape and didn't just do the bare minimum, but went the extra mile. We contacted Mauricio already on our way to Salta and received telephone support very quickly. Since then, he has always been there for us, answering all our questions patiently and promptly. A very, very nice guy!

rv and truck parking sign and parking is straight past the restaurant on the left. parked from 8p-8a. pour down rain but quiet enough otherwise. restaurant food was decent. supper was better than breakfast.

Good drinking water, to fill jugs. We get water there in April and October. Very Happy with this water for drinking.

a lot of vans, rigs ... about 12. I arrived late but wad lucky to find a place for my sprinter. not to much noise from the highways. haf a good night. we were afraid of generator from the Big Rigs but not this night.

Good spot, 3 bars Verizon. 1 bar T-mobile. Saw the northern lights.

huge green wild area next to Rhon river, in EuroVelo 17. A lot of place to stay overnight with the tent. The ground condition is quiet acceptable

6 miles of winding, narrow, steep road straight up a mountain. my van overheated about mile 4. Stayed the night at a pull off site along the road. One truck yelled out asking if I was alright at about 2am, Little creepy. Would be tough pulling a trailer or RV up there.

Yup, lots of power plugs around the lot and water.

Walmart of Owatonna just hired a large truck towing company (Dean's Towing) to enforce their "No truck or trailer" parking policy. I'm not sure if this applies to camper, vans, or motorhomes. There are new signs posted throughout the parking lot.

Gorgeous campsite! The sites are nestled in the trees or by the water. We rocked up after 7pm today and there were plenty available, I think the booking window hasn’t opened yet hence the large availability. We haven’t seen any rangers yet in the 12 hours we’ve been here.

Must have been 40 different vehicles parking here. From Class A’s pulling full size vehicles, several Class B’s and a hodgepodge of other forms of life. Got down to 30F but stayed nice and toasty. NAU graduation this weekend so others were saying thats why the mass of humanity.

price now 40000 for 2 people. rooms in the back have a nice view. clean, comfortable beds, ok wifi. really good value for money.

the have a tap with filter in the private area and can fill your bottles. the lady told us that the tap water is potable, but it's even more potable with the filter :)

Dynamite spot to camp for the night. Stunning night view over Osaka Bay and the cities around it and very quiet and peaceful after 8pm. Occasional traffic only.

Small free parking lot 1 minutes drive from the beautiful Sherwood Island State Park. We put up our window coverings to block the lights and eyes. Verizon 3 bars.
Slept in soundly until about 8am. Minimal noise. Went to the park to use the bathroom and cook breakfast. There are charcoal grills, picnic tables, and trash cans at the park (photo of park pavilion) which opens at 8am and closes at sunset.

We found a nice little lot to park in and had no issues. Cool spot. It did get a little windy overnight, but that is to be expected, we were fine in our van but could be an issue for anyone tent camping — check the weather at the very least. Great spot, would definitely visit again.

Behind Cabela’s by the boats, good for one night. Had to call mall security to check in (403) 984-6828. They asked a couple of times if it was just for one night.

This is a fantastic spot to enjoy a 360 degree panorama of the hills and several mountains including Mount Washington, Mount Jefferson, and the Sister Mountains. Our drive in was slightly challenging and definitely not for all rigs. We have a slide-in on a dually and that’s about the maximum according to the current road (trail) conditions. It is definitely worth the effort though. I have ||| bars with Verizon.

madou is an amazing person. we arrived in family family in a rather difficult situation and asked for camping and she just gave us a house, where we stayed almost a month and support us with all day by day necessities. Good fish

Nice stop. We enjoyed the free night in this town. Park is super clean and I definitely felt safe. When we arrived there where four rigs here and by 8 am the next day two had already left. We stayed till mid day because our next stop is only 3 hrs away and the check in isn’t until 4. So nice to have a place to hang out at and take my dog for a nice long walk. Power and water at 6 of these spots and They even have a dump station, bring your own hose.

Calm place. beautiful view and close to the center. There is water and maybe electricity (test before starting the car).

Lugar calmo. bela vista e próximo do centrinho. tem água e talvez luz (testar antes de ligar no carro).

Stayed here 2 nights and no one bothered me. Full bars of service for Verizon. Dog park is huge and very nice. Busy during the day, but very quiet at night and right next to an apartment complex.
