Went here for shower and laundry. Did not disappoint. It does take a minute for the shower to warm up, but once it does, it’s lovely. Spent 2 loonies. Laundry is $4 to wash and she said $4 to dry but everything was dry in 30 minutes and $4 gives you 99. Not sure but you may be able to just add money as you go on the drying.

Awesome camping spot! The campground was great with tons of room and level spots with picnic tables and grills at each spot. The grounds were very well kept and clean. The bathrooms were also very clean and the showers were warm. In the summer they have a huge pool with a slide! At night it was very quite and peaceful. It was a great campground and I would definitely recommend.

We came here for a hot (!) shower. It was hot.
They had no special camping price. We paid 60 soles/night. We had a room with toilets& showers. We slept in our rig.
It is not Camping!

Nice spot just outside of town. Pretty busy, but quieter, the farther you go. 2-3 bars of Verizon service. I’ll disagree with a previous comment tho, as the road is very bumpy and uneven in spots. Doable with my 30 year old 2WD dodge van, but let’s just say it was… dodgy. Stayed one night, but could have stayed longer!

Spent here one night on the way to Buckskin Gulch. Level-ish pullout on the right side of the road. Some road noise, as it is close to HWY 89.

There's a little dirt track off the left of 721 that leads into a protected bowl area with a grove of tall ponderosa pines. Big flat area, 3 or 4 vehicles can easily fit. Big fire ring and very quiet. Moderate AT&T cell service. No view of the mountains.

Nice staff, they refill RV tanks, and regular tanks, they charge by the pound, not a flat rate which is nice. They are open until 8pm on week days which is convenient.

Nice place, close to a stream and trail to a cave. Small parking, with restrictions for large motorhomes. Attentive owners. The place is still being structured. Access via dirt road (800 m from the highway). Safe, quiet and cool place.

I broke our van’s aluminum ladder after running into a gate. It was beyond repair. This place doesn’t work with aluminum, but they made an even better heavy-duty ladder out of iron. Looks even better than the original one I had. They got it plasti-dip painted so the paint doesn’t wear off when we step on the ladder over time.

Wiki is the owner and super nice. Went out of his way to help me and give me a really great price. The workshop is extremely organized and professional, something you don’t often see at welding shops.

Contact Wiki on WhatsApp at +593 99 880 9217 if you need something welded. They do a lot of roll cages and roof racks here. Really awesome group of guys. Can’t recommend them enough! 🤘🏼

Under the power lines is a dirt road. High clearance recommended. If you follow it up you will find a large flat area big enough for two vehicles. The view is well worth a night or two. You can hear occasional vehicles on the road and I'm sure it can be windy but only a couple of faint lights in the distance at night. No where near as bright as the stars. Keep it clean and take your trash.

Camp site for one tent (maybe two but unsure), sheltered ground flat. Not hidden. Slightly noisy (road and water). Easy access. There is a small river but access is difficult. Few mosquitos. Average 4G. Leave the place clean!

This is the camping area for frye lake. Prev free; as of 01Jul2024 it will be 5$/day, 16 day max. No cell, pit toilet, very scenic. Smallish brown trout in lake, fish from rock embankment at other end of lake near spillway, too shallow at camping end of lake.

Grassy area somewhat open. Could get some solar depending of time of day. I did see at black bear cub much further down the road near the 1st camp on drive in. Only 1 car drove past at night.

The falls themselves are gorgeous and only about a mile round hike to see them. When I arrived around 6 PM on Monday, the place was not busy at all; I could easily park & myself and one other RV stayed the evening. all the signs regarding "day use only" is in reference to the campgrounds (they don't want campers). no signage regarding parking or overnight parking. no hour restrictions at all.

However the morning was insanity - it is Tuesday, and at 11AM there was a line of cars behind me, double parked waiting for spots to open up. As soon as I had the opportunity, I left as I was feeling overwhelmed - the people trying to park were obviously frustrated at lack of parking spots and then me trying to back up on top of it all made them angrier. This is a BIG tourist spot..

The second falls down the road were just as crazy. Luckily I found a spot at the Oneonta Trailhead a few miles past that where it's a lot less populated and hectic. It is a park & ride spot for the waterfall trolley, but no signs restricting parking whatsoever.

Fito has a nice little ranch called cabalgatas „Don Tacho“. He offers horseback riding in the wedlands. It’s a great adventure. Really nice guy, also his wife Susi. You can also swim with the horses if there is enough water in the lands. He offered to stay for the night on his ground and also made delicious local food for us. On the farm there are horses, cows, dogs, cats, ducks, chickens and much more. We really enjoyed this place. Fito also offers other nice adventures like fishing. 💛👍

Not sure if it’s under new management but when we arrived on a Sunday night the parking attendant seemed surprised we were asking to camp. After we told him we would eat at the restaurant and use the saunas he showed us to the restaurant for dinner without explicitly telling us we could stay or giving us a price though we asked. The dinner was really good, well prepared salads, steaks and fish dishes. Bit pricy (120-130) but a fine dining vibe. The parking area was ok and level enough. We chose to stay at the parking area on the north side of the property rather than the south side. Little loud with trucks driving at night and then around 11pm a local backed his car into one of our vans destroying the cargo box. In the morning there seemed to be confusion about how much to charge us for the overnight parking with a lot of phone calls to reception and several people mentioning that we should pay but not having an amount. Very odd. We had a delicious breakfast (65-75) but horrible service especially compared to the night before. We asked for coffee about 3 times before finally getting it at the end of the meal. They took forever to take our order, never cleared the table of the group before us but seemed to cater just fine to all the different groups and guests coming into the restaurant after us. Later we did the sauna for an hour which was really nice with steam from the volcanoes (30 pp. finally when we were leaving, after another 5 min phone call, they decided to charge us 90pp for parking. Really beautiful property and great food but really weird vibe from the staff all around. It seemed more cut and dry with the description in the listings in previous years but we definitely felt like they hadn’t had overlanders in awhile.
