Gorgeous tiny lake at the side of the road with a small cleared area. Didn't stay the night, but made note of it for the future.

A picnic area, with a BBQ and water fountain. Quiet in the middle of nowhere. Nice to stay for the night.

Great camping spot that is quiet at night. Had no problem getting a 2 wheel drive sedan down the short hill to the camp sites. There were added porta-jons down near the camp sites.

$5 hot shower at camp corral campsite. We just asked the office guy if we could use the showers only and he was totally fine with it. Paid him with cash.
Showers were extra hot and the hot water lasted the entire length.

Large lot right off the freeway. 3 rigs at this site with room for one or two more. Noise dies down but still had a decent amount of noise for a light sleeper. No tmobile but 1 bar Verizon LTE.
This isn’t the only pull off. If you keep going north there are a handful more along this route.

Lovely roadside comedor with outdoor seating. Tacos are 10 pesos and are made with your choice of flour or corn tacos (default was flour for us, so if you want corn, ask first). They had all kinds of fillings (chicken mole, picadillo, slow cooked beef, slow cooked pork, nopales, frijoles, etc.). If you order a plate you can choose several kinds of dishes and you get beans or rice and corn tortillas.
I got a plate with 3 dishes, beans and tortillas, and Braden got 8 tacos and we each got a tequila drink from the tienda for 200 pesos. I also bought a Michelada from the bar (separate business) which had two beers in it and came with spiced cucumbers and peanuts for 70 pesos.

We were looking for a spot to camp for free by the river and the owner's son led us to his favourite spot. Ask (politely) and he shall receive!
Great family, great food, great experience.

Nice campground just off the interstate. As an ex KOA campsites are narrow but long. Great stay for overnight or longer.

This lot is next to an open Walmart. The Walmart does not allow overnight parking. Though this lot is right next to that lot. There are hundreds of spots and quite a few big rigs are here. Not really any traffic tin the lot but there are bright lights.

Large roadside park with lots of areas to park. Stayed in the back of my truck with no issues. Some big rig traffic in an out overnight but quiet otherwise. No facilities

Great mechanic, works on RV and truck campers too, owns one himself! Last one before the Yukon. Also helped us with our propane motor. Open Monday - Friday’s.

Around 10 primitive campsites along Squaw creek road, past Storm Castle peak trailhead and Spire Rock campground. 4-6 miles down gravel road. This road is closed in winter/early spring. Accessible by most vehicles, many trailers and venas here. We stayed in a site right along the creek, surrounded by forest, with a fire pit, and fit many vehicles. No service.

There are several spots heading up Gold Gulch Road. This is one further up to the left. Large wide open space with one fire ringBut space for a few campers or two large trailers. The entire site is sloped downhill pretty severely, so finding a perfectly even spot is difficult, but if you get creative you can make it work. Two or three bars of T-Mobile LTE. Some glass shards and old trash left over from previous campers, but not a lot. People have definitely been using this camp for a long time.

Found a flattish spot a way up Deer Creek Rd. 4x4/high clearance was helpful to make it out.

On 1st Nation property. It is a resort-like setting .It has lots of Lakefront and beach access sites. There are also garden sites surrounding our clubhouse and indoor pool. Big rigs welcome. Wi-Fi everywhere and of course, it’s complimentary.

A beautiful spot with hot springs as a bonus. There are lots of options for camping with trees to create privacy and hang a hammock. Hot springs are a short walk down but you do have to cross the river to get to them on a small “path.” Definitely recommend staying here if you’re in the area. Get a burger from The Barn in Bridgeport on your way in.
