Spent a night without any issues on this rest area driving South. There's a supervisor whom you can ask permission to stay.
Gas station, small convenience store, mosque, both paid and free toilets.

Beautiful green campsite (that you don't expect when you arrive at the gate, just follow GPS, you are at the right place!), fantastic deck with pool, seating area, kitchen, shower and toilet. MZN 700 pppn, kids were free. Campsite manager was very helpful, brought a wifi router and even went to town for us to buy some extra water (water from tap comes directly from the river and was very muddy so we did not want to full the lifesaver with it). We did not have time, but definitely a place worth staying more than only one overnight stay.

Be careful when you drive or stay at Punta Ninfas.
After only one night heavy rain it gets totally worst.
The surface is totally slippery and you have to pass a lot of overfloating road.
With 2wd drive no chance!
We get rescued from Punta Ninfas with 2 cars( both 4x4 ) and we needed 2 days together!
We have some damaged on our car.
So check often the weather forecast ( No Signal at Punta Ninfas) and when it begins to rain move directly and quick to Puerto Madryn.
Luckily we have Starlink and can call for help.

Several routes suggested by Google we’re not open. Purple Sage trail to S Woody Mountain Road worked well. View is amazing as always. Two bars LTE or 5G. A little snow on the road mid April. No 4WD needed, just patience, but probably need 4WD earlier in the season or during a colder April.

I was able to fill my water tank here too. they have a spigot out front. I got propane tanks filled and asked about filling water and they said no problem.

We stayed for one night. The rooms are very basic and the bathroom was not super clean. We paid 140 Somoni including dinner and breakfast, which was fine and enough food. We could park the 2 motorcycles under a roof garage which was good. The view is nice with the river passing by.

Nice campsite with verry friendly owner! And yes, there is red clay, but that's part of Misiones. There is a great grass lawn were you can stay. We had the bathroom with a good hot shower for ourselves. The visit to the mines is really nice. Beautiful Stones!

Easy access from the motorway, we stayed at the exact coordinates. A few people passing on motorbikes but other than that it was just us and the sounds of nature

Leaving Chile, smooth process. Chilean side is dirt road, but doable for any type of rig. Road turns into asphalt on the border with Argentina. Beautiful views on both sides.

Very nice spot at the beachfront. Stayed 2 nights and enjoyed the sunsets. Locals will show up for sunsets, otherwise quiet and many good spots beneath the palmtrees.

Nice place with great mountain views & sunsets. A little crowded but not too noisy. Not a lot of level spots, but easy enough to get level.

They tried to charge us 250 reales for one day. We went to the Lagoa da Freitas parking, it was more beautiful and cheaper.

We were able to fill our fixed gas tank with a German connection without an adapter. See pictures. You have to enter a license plate number. We used the USS555 and it worked.

I am a cyclist and I was able to camp inside this school. There is an empty room on the second floor of the main building where you can hide from the wind and rain. I asked at the tienda in this community if I could camp somewhere in this village and the man actually suggested I sleep inside the empty room. No one lives on the school property so it's easy to just go in. Make sure to leave early in the morning. Free.
Also, the tienda has basic supplies.

Large open, dirt parking lot adjacent to Albertson’s. Sign only says “Public Parking” no restrictions on overnight. Stayed here from around 12 am to 10 am with no trouble. Some street lights towards the entrance help illuminate a bit at night.

Basic auberge at the entrance of Enyelle. Basic room with mosquito net, clean sheets, bucket shower, communal drop toilet, bicycle fits in the room. 2500 XAF per room. There is a restaurant with fish and cassava bread. For cold drinks better go to the shop 500 m down the street. Ni private parking. Friendly people.

Great place to stay prior to visiting the Grand Canyon.
