Great place for tenting on the beach, limited parking on highway 1. Favorite spot. A few others there in tents.

Just a turnout on the 101 but we had a great evening here. Room for about 5 medium sized vehicles. Lil path down to the beach. Watched the sunset over the ocean from the van window. A couple cars stopped here throughout the night just to rest. The highway noise was so consistent (about car every minute) that it was soothing

After getting lots of great ideas for our itinerary thru Panama from these guys, we finally visited The Overland Embassy in person when we arrived in the city. The gang was AMAZING! We worked with them to design and build a temporary bulkhead wall in our van to protect items from theft during our RORO shipping to Colombia. They made this process so easy. We also had them do a special buff/epoxy treatment to ou paint and remove any starting signs of rust. When we picked up the van, the paint looked like it did when we bought the sprinter new and they repaired any scratches and cleared any rust issues we had! The wall is installed perfectly and is solid and secure. It really put our minds at ease about our van being exposed to theft during the shipping process. And, we saved the best part for last... this is a family-owned business and every one of them are there are will meet you and greet you with enthusiasm! We cannot recommend these guys enough for any type of overlander problem you may have. If they cannot solve it onsite, they will direct you to a place that can! Lots of spots in this dispersed camping area on a bench above the river. beautiful area. some road noise and train noise, but not bad.

Its inn and coffee shop and they have old kitchen gadgets. Nice to visit. Coffee shop is HORRIBLE- other cafes/bakery’s are close on Tuesday. This is only place open. After I paid for a simple cream-cheese bagel& a coffee- chef walked out of restaurant at peak of service hours. I waited 50 minutes (along with other) for my order, upon asking then if they can cancel my order- the young guy at front said ”it will take 20 minutes to cancel your order”. DON’T GO. Horrible horrible customer service. He made me feel he is doing me a favor by giving me food as if it was free n I haven’t paid. If you go please ask before- how long is the wait time. Good luck

if you are in the area and need to car camp, this is the place to go! very safe feeling and very awesome of the casino to allow this to happen!

Parked across the street in my RV and had no issues. Pay attention to the signs and park at least 15’ away from the fire hydrant. Other RVs and cars were parked here overnight as well. Felt safe and it was pretty well lit. A little noise from the freeway but I’ve experienced worse. Wide enough road to where your rig doesn’t shake every time a truck goes by.

2 stations to dump. Free. Open dusk till dawn. Non drinking water to wash your hoses off with.

Beautiful area, in the fresh clean air of the forest. There are campsites with an Honor System where you can put money in an envelope to stay for the night. Campsites are around $21. If you poke around you may find a place to just park, not in a campsite. There are toilets near the cabins.

Nicely treed. Quiet. Most sites are electrical. $35 electrical, $25 unserviced. $10 to use sanidump if you aren't staying here.

Beautiful spot right by the lock. Hassle free, toilet accessible all night.
Note: the restaurant across the street is shut down most likely for good.

There are 2 campsits but space enough for more near the cultural village of the Ju/’hoansi a bushmanclan.
Long drop toilet and one watertape on site 2 not sure if it’s running. Activities with the bushman a available.

A great low-key campsite. Perfect for big rigs and tents and cyclists. Close to a nice pub and near a small town with supermarkets and shops. Fires allowed.

Dispersed campsites along 8 miles of the Green River north of US191. Pit toilets, no potable water. Quiet and uncrowded. Miles of access to Green River for flyfishing...

This is home. Where our house is. Where friends and family are.

Trying to make a booking was fun but once I made contact with Tracey she was really helpful. There are 3 x sections to the campsite, Block A is on the sea front, Perdeskoen (Horse Shoe) is situated a little back and more sheltered (see maps I have attached). On Google Maps it is shown as Strandfontein as well as the Horse Shoe. We took a site with a private ablution but ended up using the general porta cabin bathrooms which was far nicer and clean. If you have not made a booking you must stop at the Information Centre Office on your left hand side as you enter the town. If you wish to eat out I would recommend Kommetjie restaurant on the beach front but you must book at the Strandfontein Cafe next door if they are closed.

I called and they said no problem to park here, just to be by the gas station rather than the store entrance. It was pretty clean and level, but there was a decent amount of noise until about 11pm. Seemed to be a place where people hung out after dark. We saw one individual walking around the cart corrals looking for something and kind of meandered around the lot for about 15 minutes. Not the greatest night of sleep since there was only one other RV there. Had there been more we would have felt more comfortable probably.

Location closed. City ordinance of no overnight parking enforced. Security will knock on your window & tell you to leave. Called numerous hotels & none will let you stay overnight as well.

Great dispersed camping in the Ozarks. Near trail heads and the river, nice and secluded.

Excellent spot for tents (max 2) and cars. 2WD welcome with minimum cautions. Flat area with soft and red ground. Incredible sea views and full of paths all connected, but some of them leads nowhere. From here u can walk to the abandoned yards and light house down south. Short walks and flip-flops can do it as well. The sky and your eyes are one. ♡life is good♡

The lot across from ConocoPhillips seems to be an alright place to park.. I'll update in the a.m.

Got in after dark with our 28ft travel trailer and noticed the no camping sign but didn't have any issues. Got LIT UP by mosquitos at night but none at all in the daylight. Only noticed one car circle around at like 1am otherwise we had it all to ourselves. Views were amazing in the morning, fabulous spot to stay in!
