ourhomeonthemove | Felt comfortable pulling up in the dark - gorgeous morning views probably wouldn’t have felt comfortable sitting here in the daylight waiting for nightfall though- it is a bit exposed to nearby roads |

cloverman525 | Arrived a little before sunset on a Monday night. Spots by the Casitas looked enticing since they are more away from the road. Ended up overnighting at the end of the car parking lot. Road noise is a bit more then other Rest Areas, but the area itself is good. 3 Verizon bars 4G |

instagram.com/analogue.nomad | Several public parking lots next to the water off Westlake Ave. Pay to park between 9AM-6PM, free otherwise and no signs with any overnight restrictions. Arrived at 10PM and stayed until 9AM without issue. Numerous vehicles of all varieties were also parked there for the night. Felt pretty safe and quiet throughout the night, however morning traffic on Westlake was expectedly loud. |

boshan_go | For tents only (we brought our bicycles). Very beautiful spot, lots of Lycian way hikers that camp here. Sometimes there's music from the beach bars, so you might want to bring earplugs. We normally like to camp as isolated as possible, but this place was surprisingly cool and we totally fell in love with it! We met lovely people and spend 4 nights instead of the planned one night. In the mornings you wake up to the water rushing, untill noon you are sheltered from the sun by the mountain shadow. We left our tent and bikes during the day, felt very safe. On the beach there is cold water showers. How to get there: When facing the beach, go all the way left over the boardwalk and than further over the sand, around the rocky wall that seems to be the far left end of the beach. When you walk around the tip of it over the beach, you enter the area that is dedicated for camping (officially allowed). Ps. Go paragliding and scuba diving, you won't regret it! |

samgdickinson | Excellent location with great views over the river and for $10pppn so close to South Luangwa NP it's great value for money. bar and pool available however bar rarely seemed to be staffed and pool was a bit grubby. similar issues with bins and toilets. could arrange guided tours via reception however we contacted a guide directly which was cheaper (Standwell whose details are in the main South Luangwa NP location) |

rigglek | Nice campground but kind of dark due to the mountains and tree cover. The dump and water are near the visitor station. The street from the campground to visitor station can be backed up miles at times. According to the ranger after dinner or in the dark is the only time it's clear. It was fine at 8 am when I left, but be aware. I also wasn't too impressed with the local hike, not a lot of views. I'll try a different campground next time but it was nice enough. |

kate72767 | so there are no signs at this Walmart saying no overnight that I saw. but, I did ask at the customer service desk and they said it was technically not allowed but it was okay if I did as long as I parked in the back corner of the parking lot. if you do decide to stay at this Walmart make sure that you go and ask whether you call or do it in person. personally I stayed but I kind of got skeeved out knowing that I was the only one staying overnight. but by the time I got there I really had no other option I was so overtired. personally I would not stay here again. just because the whole vibe of no other boondockers there weirded me out. I love the view of the mountains from the parking lot but unfortunately the worry of kind of keeping one eye open and half expecting the dreadful knock overwhelmed the beauty of this scenery for me. |

brenna.hyland | Great spot - a bit of noise from the road but not terrible. Cows came and hung out at night by our camper (nearly jumped out of my skin when I heard a moo right by where I sleep). If you are headed south, the dirt road starts just after mile marker 20 |

Cubby Van Life | Army Corp of Eng. campground, about 35 sites., close together. $20 a night, $10 with pass. Right on Tionesta Lake Quiet and remote unlike Tionesta Rec area across water which is cramped, loud, and about $40. It is Nov. and the Outflow is open but showers are locked. |

callumjsankey | 19 miles off hwy, first 12 miles (paved) is no camping zone and ~3 miles after that the pavement ends. Rest of the way is pretty compact dirt/gravel with a good few potholes to watch out for and washboards most the way. Made it in a 2WD Nissan Sentra with ~5 or 6" clearance. Hardest part is the rutted way to get into the actual site. Gorgeous views, no reception, no bathrooms, lots of cows. Make sure you check weather before you go into Uinta. Also, about 10 miles in the water begins to turn a hazy blue because of a sulfur spring up the road a ways. It's worth stopping and checking out, really beautiful phenomenon. |
