A quiet cul-de-sac street with plenty of street parking available. Quiet overnight and feels very safe.

As this is a neighborhood street please be courteous and refrain from making too much noise. Stealth camping recommended.

About a three minute drive from Mission Trails Regional Park which has many miles of hiking/biking trails as well as a visitor center with bathrooms and water fountains.

for 6$ pp per night we could park at the hostel on their parking. There were a lot of people sleeping in tents, hammocks and their rooms as well, so there wasn't a lot of space or shade. It was still a nice hostel, might be better if there are less people. Was hot during the day but you can plug in, in case you got AC/fan/fridge that runs on electricity. Free mangos from the trees around!

Potable water. Had hose hooked up to it, took it off and put ours on to fill up. Dump station was locked and it looks like it has been for awhile.

This place is perfect for a break during travelling, offering all the necessary comfort. Marcos and Arawi are very warm and welcoming people, also very helpful. They give information about how to visit their city, and other places in their beautiful country. We’ve stayed 8 days and did a lot of maintenance on our camper. For technical things, we could ask the advice and help of Marcos. It looks like he knows how to fix everything! He even solved our electricity problem, wich we were struggling with already for more than 2 years. He also replaced the shocks on our truck. Thank you so much for offering this special place for Overlanders, Marcos and Arawi!
If you want to go there, best send Marcos a message in advance, he will inform you about the best road to drive there, depending on which direction you are coming from. Don’t rely on Maps.me, once we came close, we were sent into wrong streets twice. From ‘Avenida the strongest’, take ‘Avenida Javier del Granada’ and follow this street until you reach Las Lomas campground.

We went to Pitu’s garage for a general check up of the car after driving from South Africa.
Piti and his team are very professionals. They managed to spot used bushes, suspension joint damaged and small leakage from the steering rack.
For our VW transporter it’s not so easy to source parts. Pity has a very good network to find parts. He is also inventive and can fabricate some when feasible. Overall it’s the best garage we visited in Africa. If you are looking for a sustainable repair and fixing your issues from the root. Whether you have a old or brand new car this is the place for you!

The guardia invited us to stay here for the night. They offered us a toilet and a warm shower. For FREE. But the entrance fee for the NP is now 20000guarani per person and 15000guarani for the car. We could visit the park also next day, without paying again. So we spent 2nights there.

We arrived to the spot "next to a river" on the other side. It could have been a nice one for the night but we decided to cross the bridge and check the other side. We think it offers more space with less locals. you can indeed go for a few hundred meters along the river to choose your best option.
we arrived on a sunday night there were a few locals that had left by the sun going down. The river is not easely reachable. There is obviously some trash. We tried to fill a bag but there is still some. Around 9am, some cows passed by, we talked with their owner who didn't mention any issue for us staying.

It won't be your best new place, but it's good to add new options in that area

Large open space with a number of trees off the road between Uzumlu and Ortakoy on the road to Denizli. Space for multiple tents/campers/motorhomes. Locals have clearly used it as there are a number of fire pits. Plenty of water cooling points on the roadside nearby. No other facilities.

Greatest service and place for any type vehicle. We were told here that our LC76 was good to go and no charge due to the fact that there was nothing wrong. Very knowledgeable and super kind Wasim. Highly recommend for repairs and service

We had a nice little tour with good information and after this a 4-course lunch with a new wine every course, red or white your choice. Very good and very friendly staff. We made no reservation, just showed up at 12 noon. We paid 60 euro for 2 persons (13000 pesos).

NPS dispersed campsite, reservation and permit required. Site 2 is right at the trailhead but looks like little to no traffic in this area. This was +1.5 hours from the pavement. Mostly slow but passable road, I never used 4x4. On return I can see one section thru a washout will require 4x4 because off camber and up. Site includes bear box and solitude. This is in the desert, away from the mountains. Put your phone away, no Verizon or AT&T here. Clean up after yourself and take some of the previous jerks trash with. My opinion, unless you like the off-roading, this is too far back in compared to visiting Park highlights. No fires.

Shop to buy simcard. Payed 149 for 8.5 GB and 30 days. It seems to be the best Coverage in Bots but even though is mostly 3G and slow.

Trailhead parking for northern NC portion of the Bartram Trail. Nice tent spots just across creek and waterfall close by. Truck camper or small RV ok, not much room for turning around. Left truck here 5 days while we hiked Bartram Trail and camped the night before and after. Very quiet spot.

The road itself is fine, especially compared to other places we have been in Baja. However, the key point missing from all the reviews below, is the road is narrow. We are a full size truck with a medium size truck camper, and the overgrowth was too narrow, and too short to drive through without severely scratching up the camper. I would not do this road in anything bigger then a van, and even that might leave with some new pinstripes.

Public Parking. Sits right above the river where elk can be watched feeding. 2 bars Verizon signal. Lighted parking lot. 2 other cars parked for the night but sure they were sleeping in them. Quiet, no disturbances. No signs posted saying you can’t park overnight. I think I may be here in off-season so that could be a favorable factor for my stay.

What a beautiful place, surrounded by emerald green lagoons, lots of white sand and the ocean. Access is easy, 4x4 is recommended, even appropriate for bigger rigs. There's also an established campground very close to this place, the owner is a friendly guy and here and there, locals come along at the weekends.
You can either swim or kayak in the lagoon easily, nevertheless water level is pretty low in April, as well as the water is very warm.

Crossed Eswatini into Mozambique.

Eswatini was quick, easy and very friendly. very interested in our car. They did ask for our TRN as we are British with ZA registered vehicle.

Mozambique side, also friendly and helpful. A little slow as we did visa on arrival.

The sheer difference between the infrastructure on the two sides is crazy. no surprise that the moz side aren't the most motivated.

Lovely chap on the moz side also helped with sim cards.

so overall a pleasant experience.

we had PCR tests and accommodation booking to hand. note that the VOA is USD55 'due to exchange rate'

Excellent spot. As the other comments have said, gates close at 9pm and opened in the morning at 8am. We asked the caretaker in the toilets if we could stay and he was very nice.
Not sure if toilets were open all night but they were early in the morning. Men's is a little run down and you'll definitely need your own paper. Water taps can be found dotted around the camping area.
Great 4g Movistar and Claro signal.

Great, nice and safe place. We park the car here down a tree so that the light of the street and then the sun doesn't hit us so hard.
We parked for four days. First night we slept there. The next two night we slept in san pedro and we left the car here. Last night we slept here again. As there is always street light and a hotel, we felt really safe. During the day you are just steps away from lot of places to eat and bathrooms. If you walk down the earth road you will be on the shore in a place for parapentes (parachutes?). Amazing place to be on the lake where some people fish in an artisan way.

Now 18,000 per person. Showers are hot and good WiFi. Biggest downside side is there isn’t really a flat place to park. So you’ll need some thick pieces of wood or levelers. 20 minute walk to the town. Would stay here again.
