A nice place to stay for one night on a edge with a great view over a wide, colourful valley/wadi. There are possibilities to stand, closer or farer from the edge. Only ~300m from the street, the way leads across an area with hard sand and small rocks. 4x4 might be easier, but not nessesary.

the advantage is the good location within the city. But its very noisy. you will park directly close to a big street eith a lot of traffic. in the night the street gettin more quiete, but there is also a railroad and every 20 minutes cross a train while its horns loudly. for us it was a really bad place.

Beautiful place with 270 views across the valley. I didnt have the stomach for the final steep ascent, so I parked on the hill where the two access tracks meet. One is from the east, from the church, and the other from the south. The latter is a little better.

Coming down Katbakkies pass I noticed the spot before the last corner prior to Tankwa Karoo. Lots of trees and shelter from the wind behind the mountain. Sadly previous visitors left a mess, but still a quiet easily accessible wild campsite

On our way from Nairobi through Uganda to Southern Africa. The Mutukula border is a One stop. There is a Forex Bureau on the left entrance of the Tanzania Immigration Building- NMB. It has one counter which is also a payment counter for truck drivers. So, be ready to hang onto some patience.

This was a great find next to the river. R150p/pn. There are 3 camping areas:
Main Camp - 20 stands (Hoofkamp)
Kolgans - 39 stands
Bush camp- 5 stands (boskamp)

They are all about 13 x 15 m

We stayed in the bush camping section - number 5 where there is no electricity and we got a spot on the river and it was nice and private. The main camping area and Kolgans has electricity. The ablution facilities are fantastic. There is a small kiosk where you can buy ice, wood etc.
Note that there is a code needed to enter the camping area - the owner will provide this upon arrival. There is also not clear signage at the turnoff next to the road (very small sign)

cold showers, we'll maintained bathrooms, beautiful beach, middle in city, unbelievable opportunity for overnight staying. I didn't find a sign about parking limitation

If we had to be really picky about something to improve it would maybe be that the pool was murky (but clean) and ablutions are a little run down, although they were still very clean with hot water, great pressure, flushing loos and toilet paper so that's really being fussy! This place is exactly as described below, just amazing and we could've easily stayed longer. The setting is amazing right on the most beautiful quiet and peaceful beach. Electricity, braai stands, wood, taps and lovely shady grassy areas. Free wifi in the bar and free kayaks (although there's been a croc around so no swimming in the lake!) and pool. Bar and restaurant are lovely and yes some meals aren't the cheapest but a lot of them are super reasonable, as are the drinks. Trish and Dan are so lovely and helpful, they treat every one of their guests like VIPs and all the staff around the lodge/camp do the same - all remember you by name and will do anything to help. Best service we've had so far on our trip as campers. Trish and Dan picked some vegetables up from the market for us on their supply run and we got a huge bag for 4500mk, so great! Laundry service 5000mk for a huge bag.
John at the beach sells very reasonably priced curios and is refreshing to Chat to, he's the only one allowed to sell there and no hassling at all - he even took us into the local town to the ATM and got us local prices for a few things at the market. Lovely guy, also does tours around the area or hikes etc.

Nice guestfarm with lots of game animals around. Saw i.e. Nyala in the morning while having breakfast. Peaceful atmosphere. Ablutions very clean and new, good hot shower. Price now in 2023 N$200/pppn. Nice pool up at the house. Very friendly and welcoming owners who has lovely dogs, too. Good place for a stopover for a night or two.

ATM where foreign Crédit card are accepted, no fees, no queue.

if you can withstand the noise, the parking spaces at the Malecon are great places to park your van and stealth camp. I have a Roof Top Tent. I had no problem staying overnight here. keep in mind you will hear a lot of drunk and cars with loud music driving by. Go have fun, come and enjoy. I had an RV overnight parked next to me. I met a Spanish guy with a wife and three small children parked for extended time on the Malecon, too. It is very safe, no security issues at all. Go to close by restaurant and have a drink, you will have wifi too.

Estacionamento na beira da praia ao lado dos lós dedos, tranquilo, banheiros químicos abertos das 9am as 7pm iluminado e pouco barulho. Passamos uma noite tranquila.

Camping municipal Puerto Viejo en San Javier.

El lugar es bastante amplio, hay parrilleros y bancas con mesas en algunos lugares, electricidad, agua, baños cuidados y ducha con agua caliente.
Durante la temporada baja no cobran (desconozco el costo en temporada alta)
La playa es pequeña pero linda.
Hay un almacén y la gente es agradable.

Good Indian restaurant with all the classics!

Nous avons passé une nuit sur ce spot, calme et très beau. Nous avons passé la soirée avec des pêcheurs rencontré sur le spot, une très belle rencontre. Le chemin est praticable, en tous cas en saison sèche, et nous sommes largement passé avec notre caravane 20 pieds et un autre camping car. Si vous avez de la chance vous pourrez apercevoir des lamentins le matin dans la lagune

We spent a night on this spot, calm and very beautiful. We spent the evening with fishermen met on the spot, a very nice meeting. The path is passable, at least in the dry season, and we have been through a lot with our 20-foot caravan and another motorhome. If you are lucky you can see manatees in the morning in the laguna

Amazing place! The other iOverlander spot across the bridge is also very nice but there were many people in main season and on this spot here, with the awesome view over the lake we were the only campers (many fishers parked here though as well).

Good Place , nice rooms with AC and fast wifi. Price 6000/10000/12000 per night, It depends on rooms.

Its Open. we stayed here one night for 2450 ARS. its a nice place but no grassy ground, so its dusty. Pool ist very cold because of the water of the river. bathrooms disappointed long time no cleaning of the showers 😔. But we really enjoyed the trout menü, its 4800 ARS PP and really worth the price.

Not closed! The owner is away but the guardian is there. They are renovating the art shop and bar at the top. We stayed two nights (7000). Really nice people and very chilled out place. We were undisturbed. Nice views out, surrounded by nature. There is a toilet, no other facilities. Maybe not big rigs as track is narrow to top of mountain and low branches.

Beautiful camping spot surrounded by some trees next to the sea. Take the small gravel road across the peninsula and then turn left. There is some flat spots for a tent… not sure about campers if there’s enough space. Some trash around but I tried to clean most. Some fisher boats come by but don’t seem to mind

Wow… this is a truly magical place. Once here you are almost entering a new world. A world of love, patience and understanding. Oscar and his partner have ran this place together for the last 2 year after the passing of Nicoles father.

If you need any form of healing. Mind. Body. Spirit. This is where you should come. After my time here I am leaving a better man. A better husband and a better father. The people here are healers and very good at what they do.

Aside from my growth, I was able to fit inside with my 13m 10,000kg (41’ 22,000lb) skoolie. It was extrémalo tight and some places I only had about 1-2” of wiggle room to drive through however, I made it in. They do have electricity however please don’t use high amperage things such as AC or similar consumption as it will shut the entire system down.

There are caves to explore, jungle to see and just peace to feel. Highly highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone. ✌🏻❤️

Normal Gas Station. We stopped for a breakfast on the way to Mendoza. No more green area now since there is an area under construction. Better facilities and nicer area a few hundreds meters to the west, at a YPF gas station.

Wonderfull Balneario with huge space to stay and enjoy. Nice swimming pool. Barbecue places in shadow forest. Restaurant and kiosk, clean bathrooms with showers. Staff are very atentiv and frindly. One of the best place to stay in Brasil.

Spent a quiet night here. 100 pesos/2persons.

We spent a night here a paid 55pesos. Friendly security guarda around all night long. Only it is loud due to the big road next to it, so bring earplugs or Tequila
