Calm and peaceful place. Very dark and quiet at night, and sheltered from the wind. The chemical toilet is very dirty, only for emergencies. I found it interesting that at dawn a police car passed by for verification, and the presence of several people camped gave us a lot of security!

Lugar calmo e tranquilo. Bem escuro e silencioso à noite, e protegido do vento.

Stopped there Dec. 27th. Park was open m, but campground gate was locked. No contact numbers. Ran into a local who said “Bobby” would be by to lock emthe gate. We “dry camped” overnight on the entrance road. Everything worked out fine, but would suggest you get in touch with someone if you want to use the campground.

Three porta poties. We parked here for two days and just tried to be discrete but there’s tons of other campers here. Seems like a popular spot. Most of the campers are parked in the back lot

Great place to spend the night. Blu, the park attendant, was super sweet. I followed the recommendations of other reviews and just grabbed a spot and paid Blu when she came around. I would definitely stay here again. Well worth the 20 bucks.

Very nice camp with concrete pads. Quite beach. It’s a little bit more to dry camp but worth the view

It seems a good place to spend the night, despite being a bit noisy during the day. We fill our water bottles on a tap on the entrance side of the bathrooms. The bathrooms were a bit dirty but usable. The shower was not working, because according to the employees, the pump is defective. It has hot water if it is for a cup of coffee is free, but to fill a thermos bottle would charge 50 ARs. Ample parking space, despite having a little mud and with unevenness.

This is the best I found along I-10 in Louisiana, but it is pretty bad. Atchafalaya Welcome Center was packed, so I diverted here. The fee was $28 (it was that since 2019, see the photo I attached), and I was here alone. There is a phone number you call from the board to the right of the office, and an automatic voicemail tells you the code. Park anywhere that's open - for me, it was the whole park. Pay in the morning.

Can hear freeway noise a bit, choose the side further from the roads into the woods. Woke up at 4:44 am from the loud train horn that lasted a good while as the train was passing through the town.

Then woke up at 8am sharp from the leaf blower that was cleaning the leaves right on the spot next to me, while the entire park was empty and just as untaken care of. Hard to sleep here well. Atchafalaya welcome center was better in that regard.

In the morning, paid in the office and went to check out the legendary showers / facilities I read so much in the other reviews about. Indeed, they are completely disgusting. Dirty metal toilets and urinals you would not want to look at, not even approach. Entered the code for the shower, got startled when the lights turned on and I woke up a homeless man who was sleeping on the floor. Mentioned "someone is sleeping in the shower" in shock to the attendant who was outside, who with a bored look said "Yeah, ok, thanks."

Spent a pleasant, level, undisturbed night here in our 19’ Ford Transit Van. Probably best for vehicles that fit into a regular parking space.

What a great place, well worth the bumpy drive in
We pulled our 26 foot travel trailer in no problems, just took it slow.
There is no one else here, parked 30 feet from the beach.
There is wifi within 100 feet or 30 meters from the house.
