This place saved us in the unbearable heat!
1600$ for 2 people in a tent, including entrance for the nice pools.
Facilities, hot showers, BBQ areas.
We find it’s the best place in this town, as we checked all the others before.

Nice and high tower to see some of the figures. 6 soles per person. Open Monday-Sunday, from 8 to 18:00. It’s definitely a way to feel the art and intelligence of pre Hispanic culture for much cheaper than flying over the lines (around USD 70 + 77 soles in taxes). Don’t miss it.

Place at a wine producer. the vines are carried out in organic farming, the location is on the edge of the forest with a view of Mont Ventoux, near a hedge which gives the choice between a location in full sun or in the shade. Very warm welcome and great wine. Obligation to be autonomous for the toilets. Maximum arrival time 8:00 p.m.

Nice flat surface in the bush, hidden from the piste. Ground is rocky and cleaned from dirt. We didnt see anybody. Nice place to sleep on the way to the ferry.
The road is not difficult but in really bad condition until the ferry at Agordeke. From this wild camping spot until the ferry departure, it took us about 3h30, taking our time. There is 10 km of really sandy track when the asphalt stop, nothing crazy but might be tricky with a 2WD. After that point until the ferry, road condition alternate between good asphalt, really bad asphalt, good piste and really bad piste. Comes and goes. Really weird.

Only section open when main site is closed. Website says closed Dec 1 - Mar 20. When main site is closed it is free, otherwise $14 for a regular site or $25 for a group site. Lovely spot with the soothing sound of the creek. Through the main site there is a lovely trail through the woods.

There is a brand new restaurant and coffee shop that just opened on the north end of the beach. Nomadico Coffee Roasters. They've got legitimately good coffee, delicious mezcal con la sal chapulines from Oaxaca, craft beer and mead from their home state of Puebla (the mead is the best I've ever had) and delicious food. One of the people in the kitchen is French, so they've got excellent crêpes, both sweet and savory, and of course, deliciously fresh caught seafood and Mexican foods from different regions of Mexico. I ended up hanging out until very late.
Worth the 200 pesos just to eat and drink at this place.

This place is a banger.
Two ladies from Puebla and a French cook who has lived and traveled all over the world. So you can get legit crêpes, both sweet and savory, fresh seafood, ceviche, and dishes from a few different regions of Mexico.
They will also make your coffee a bunch of different ways. Espresso, moka pot, pour over, and aeropress.

And they don't just quit at brunch; they serve food and drinks into the evening.

Had 3 marlin quesadillas, arroz con camarónes, arroz con tocino, mezcal con sal de chapulines, craft mead, té, and a latte.
They also have craft beer.
I ended up hanging out with them way after they closed, getting drunk, and camping here instead of going back to my original spot. Great people. Everything about them is worth supporting.

Tiny Houses is still open, you can either stay at one of their Tiny Cabins (with everything you need, kitchen, bathrooms with shower and plenty of bank beds) or you can camp on their grounds. We stayed on our Van, usually there are bathrooms outside (not sure how they look like, since it was raining the owner let us use one of the bathrooms of an empty cabin). There are also picnic tables outside.
Behind the gate there is space to park one small car, we were parking with our minivan and we couldn't close the gate doors so anything bigger needs to be parked outside, the place is quiet and safe.

Beautiful little park. Two hiking loops in the jungle, one about 45min, other about 15mins. Great to spot wildlife, specially birds, and very nice views of the Belize river. Small visitor center on site with clean bathrooms and picnic area. Entrance fee is 5bzd per person, it goes to maintenance of the place. Friendliest staff ever, we ended up chatting for almost an hour.

Very friendly and successfully repaired our airconditioning. He checked to see if it could be repaired (which would be been free if he couldn’t fix it) and the repair cost 12000 pesos. Took about 1 hour and we were able to wait in the cool inside with our baby and dog.
