Small paradise for overlanders. Wonderful friendly and welcoming family, delicious food. (all organic, freshly from the farm) Perfect for kids to roam around.
We were their first campers, and they don’t speak english but we understood each other and used the amenities but slept in the car.
Farm is very well run and everything clean.
Next to the road but no traffic during the night, only dogs barking.

Cracker Barrel with a lot out back. Stayed here for two nights with no issues, though it is right next to the highway so there’s a lot of noise.

Very well maintained place. Also good for big rigs. All is clean. Friendly and helpful stuff. Price change all 3 months. Actually daily around 300R per pitch, weekly package around 1000R.

Beautiful old buildings beside the road, no signpost. Entrance is through a red gate by the football pitches (there is a front gate which may work too) and once inside find any of the staff for a room.

BFr 15000: Large, clean, double room with mozzie net, table and chairs. En suite has Western loo, sink and shower not working so buckets provided. Dinner and breakfast available.

Huge rest area on M5, direction Multan-Sukkur. Really big. Safe, because its fenced in. Restaurant, small supermarkt, toilets etc. all available. Gas station, but Diesel section is not open jet. Tire shop available.

February 2023, there was a huge shortage of diesel in the all country. Impossible to find diesel anywhere. We managed to get to Pointe Noire where we found our first congolese gas station how allow us to fill up. Be prepared for such situation. There is black market diesel but even locals are suspicious of the "Kadafis" (it how they call the street sellers) and advised us to not buy em anything. We begged at every gas station on the way, sometime with the help of police, to get 25 L here, 25 L somewhere else... Its 2100 km between Yaoundé and Pointe-Noire. Its a long drive without proper supply. Difficult but worth it, Congo is stunning.

its the best shower in pakistan i guess! hot water, luxury bathroom. even for european standards luxurious. its on a rest and service area. so you could sleep there and fill gas, everything you need. (use the vip shower;) )

Great place away from the crowds. Some power, good toilets, showers and a small restaurant.

We passed on a Friday at noon, they were here checking the speed on the way out of Ouidah and stopping people so be careful :)

A really decent hospital. The queue looked quite big but I was checked in and vitals taken within 10 minutes and was seen by the doctor, blood taken and results back all within 45 mins!
Cost is $50 for foreigners or $75 if you need lots of medication, lab work etc. Nurses and doctor were all really professional and lovely. They all spoke great English. Paid with visa card.

Good motorcycle mechanic in Adana. Local bikers tend to hang out here as well. The head mechanic doesn't speak English, but his second in command does. They were really helpful in sourcing parts when I had problems finding them in Turkey, and helped me to cut custom sprockets as well. Labor prices are also good - ex. charged me 200 TL for a clutch plate change that took a couple hours.

Malaria test (not the rapid one) was 2000cfa and you can get results on whatsapp in 2 hrs.

Chez Jojo has been taken over by the owner since January (following a management buy-out). Camping is no longer available here.
Double rooms are 50.000 cfa per night and meals around 10.000 cfa.
The place is very neat, the welcome is warm and the staff helpful and attentive. A nice place to rest. However, remember to phone to check availability, the lodge is regularly full. 0708753683

This is one of the last great boondoocking spots in Florida. Pleased to say that the garbage appears to have been cleaned up! We could lose this one too if we don’t respect it. Don’t recommend it for a trailer. While there is plenty of space on the side of the road, as people have said , the turn around is super soft and the road is narrow. Impossible to turn around. Had a pleasant quiet night.

I don’t know about this place. Arrived after midnight and was the only car in the lot. Decided to go for it and got set up but my instinct said this wasn’t an amazing idea so I packed up and moved toward the Botanic Garden. That wasn’t a great spot but didn’t feel like I was alone on an island.

Nosotros llegamos un miércoles en temporada alta (febrero) y le preguntamos a una pareja de chilenos que dormían en su combi, si era seguro parquear y dormir acá, y ellos nos dijeron que si, llevaban 1 mes.
El precio del parking se puede negociar a $3000 por todo el día y la noche.
Hay lugares para sacar agua, solo que se necesita de una conexión especial para conectar en la llave.
El lugar es seguro para dejar el auto y para dormir también, hay guardias cuidando algunos locales.
Se puede vender artesanías desde tu auto.
Enfrente esta la gasolinera Petrobras donde se puede conectar a WiFi Gratis
Lo único malo que para dormir se escucha el trafico de la avenida, pero llega un momento de la noche que no se escucha, y por la mañana empieza de nuevo.

Same price in 2023, 1000 for entrance pp and 2000 extra for photos per group. Not a highlight for me

TLDR: it worked. don’t block the blood bank busses, no guarantees, no big RV/bus spots

I just stayed here overnight with no issue. When I arrived there were no other rigs and the parking lot setup is not like most Cracker Barrel’s. There are no designated spots for big RVs or busses. I called AND went inside to get permission - talked to two different employees who both sad “you should be fine” and “no guarantees though” which was not super reassuring. The one did mention that she didn’t expect anyone to have a problem as long as I didn’t block the blood bank buses from being able to come and go as they please. It all worked out but I was nervous I’d get the knock on this one.

à 2h30 du matin , on s'est fait réveiller par des locaux qui y sont venu jouer de la musique très fort, mais ça n'as durée que 45 minutes.
puis au petit matin des résidents Américains snob du secteur sont venu nous dire qu'ici ce n'était pas un camping.
bref on y est rester juste une nuit.

Nice spot to camp on the beach. Bumpy dirt road approach, sandy hill to go over to cross the dunes but it is relatively well packed sand then the beach itself is firm where people drive on it. Great beach to run or bike on. Quiet night, police drove by

ok. little rocked, but did not expect more:). slept in the car, they wanted 2000 rupies,no discussion about the price possible. were nice but did not understand english at all. police guarded us 24/7 and police was not happy that we arrived in their district. on other side of the road is a small park to walk the dog. police said we are not allowed to go, did it anyways and then all of the sudden it was no problem 😅. food is ok there but pricey, would go to the small restaurant just in front of the hotel;)

They are fast. You dont need internet to send your files, just use bluetooth. 25 cfa for copy, 50 cfa for printing.

We got our carte brune here. 3 months for 40900 cfa (Toyota Hilux, horsepower 10).

Save yourself time: they currently dont use the online form because of a system problem. You have to write a letter why you apply here instead of in your home country.

We were here on wednesday morning, she told us to come pick it up on Tuesday next week. We begged her we wanted to celebrate Independence day on time in Ghana. We called her on Friday at 10am, passport was ready at 12. So make up a good story and you receive it earlier 😀

Nice place to relax after climbing Kilimanjaro (we saw it a lot so no necessary views from here)

Lot of place for washing and hanging the clothes of 4 people after 7 days hike.

Showers and toilets ok for us.

Also meal in the hotel in the other side of the street.

We parked the truck here for the week we where in the mountain.
