Stayed for one night in our truck and fifth wheel down at far end of parking lot with some semi truck drivers. No one bothered us. It was very noisy though with street traffic.

Large scenic spot short downhill drive on a rocky logging road. Stayed Friday night and there were huge logging trucks driving around the area until midnight and started back up again at 5 am. Lots of garbage strewn about as well. Unfortunately I can’t recommend this place due to the noise of the trucks.

Lugar incrivelmente maravilhoso, pé na areia! Entrada privada para pela praia … muita sombra, redes de balanço! Tem energia, Wi-Fi, banho quente e cozinha de frente ao mar. Fica 15 min do centro caminhando. Ou pode pegar um táxi diretamente aqui do camping U$ 1,50 , para mercado etc… Ecuador é muito barato para comer…pratos aqui no centro com sopa de entrada, prato principal + suco por U$ 3…local muito seguro! We slept in the parking lot 300 yards down on Duffy Hill road mentioned in the description. It is called Island View Park. It was more quiet and away from main road. Only few cars during the night, parked near the river. Great spot.

Lovely views. As mentioned previously, road is bumpy but I’d say doable in most vehicles with some clearance as long as you’re slow and careful. Someone with a Big rig was here before I arrived. In mid April the final portion of the road was covered in water but still a few nice camp spots accessible. The river was quite high, just above the waist. Also quite fast. I did not attempt the crossing to the hot spring but one other guy did successfully. Bit sketchy but doable if you’re careful.

stayed here one night, such a cool spot. sketchy ass bridge coming in but it held our ram promaster just fine. LOTS of space to spread out, soft sand, and water was good for a morning dip. the road in is loooong and winding but overall Worth it.

Very quiet and spacious. Nice lake and little beach. Officially it says no campers. We were there in April and saw nobody. Official opening of season is June. Then it might be crowdier.

Muito bom! Atende a todas as necessidades básicas de energia, luz, segurança. Lindo camping com acesso a Lagoa do Catu, gostamos bastante e voltaríamos mais vezes. O proprietário muito atencioso e todos os que fazem parte do camping também. Tá de parabéns. @kombicinebrasil

Huge parking lot. Stayed one night no issues. Pit toilets. Incredible sunset. We were off season so I imagine that high season is a no go.

Belle place, bonne ambiance, bon service. Nous avons demandé si nous pouvions rester avec notre Sprinter et ils nous ont indiqué le meilleur endroit calme. Je recommande.

Passamos 3 noite, como o camping municipal está fechado, a polícia nos sugeriu dormir aqui, tem banheiro e mesas, super tranquilo, apenas pessoas conversando na rua, mas até às 9pm no máximo.

There are plenty of spaces. Some with tables and a fire ring for$15 but the more primitive do not have a table and they cost $10 per night. The staff are very nice. Clean bathrooms and hot showers. The creek is dried up but it is still a plenty place to stay. Water and electric sites with shelter are available for $30 per night and there are RV Sites but o don’t know the price for those.

Clean, quiet place for an overnight stay. Surrounded by snow-covered mountains, but daytime temps were in low 70s. Used a little heat overnight.

- Price: 5000 Colones pp per night

- Bathroom & Shower: Very clean. The shower is cold water only but it was perfect after hot days of exploring the area.

- WiFi: Good WiFi, measured speeds were 16 mbps download and 10 mbps upload.

- Other things to note: There is a large shelter with several tables and a community kitchen. Marco also provides coffee and tea as well as a Costa Rican style coffee maker. You can see a lot of wildlife here and Marco is great at finding the animals; we saw a couple of sloths, toucans, poison arrow frogs, and another kind of frog that was red with blue legs. It's pretty quiet at night and the temperature is comfortable for sleeping.

A little difficult to get in with our 36 Ft RV, but the owner guided us in.

In front of the tourist centre is a big house. There is a nice lady who is selling gasoline.
Nock at the door and ask for her. If you cant find the place ask at the tourist centre.
Gasoline in case you need some.. like us ;)

Good place to stay before taking the boat ! Lot of space, some trash but some spot without !!

Lovely place and hostess. Paid (only) 20000 CLP effectivo for a great room, bed and shower. Hot water from the house and breakfast included in the price.

Very nice campground! Lots of shade and places for both motorhomes and tents. There are lama’s, dogs and cats walking around the campground. Nice hot showers and wifi near the administration. We paid 4000 per person and 2000 for a small campervan.

Lovely little gem and off season one of a few abierto, if you don’t like to cook yourself 😅

camping municipal gratuito. agua, baños, parrilleros y muchos árboles. no dormirnos porque hay muchos loros en la zona. pero es un buen lugar para parar almorzar o pasar la tarde.

lugar muy lindo para descansar frente al lago. baños medio pelo. pagamos $4000 por persona y $4000 por la trafic motorhome.
