Simple place for putting up a tent. Place is at the edge of Ayo Ayo near an old soccer field (the new one is down in the village). We stayed directly besides the wall of the building. Some locals driving by but nobody bothered us and all were friendly. Potable water available in the village (also on iOverlander). Some road noice from the highway, but only visable from the village.

Rio Grande National Forest land. First site accessible by most vehicles from 66T after that may want 4wd. Probably not nice for big rigs. Sites with firepits, some large could fit multiple vans, some smaller spots too. No facilities. 1 bar Mint Mobile.

Those that have stayed here overnight must have stayed on the trooper's night off. It's illegal to overnight here, as the not-so-nice trooper informed me last night, long after I had settled in bed. We need to shut down this and any location in the state forest area.

Part of the Hima sites.
This is the camel painting on a rock.
It is in the middle of the desert. There are some decent but sandy tracks leading to it, although they can be a bit hard to follow.

Both the wells and petroglyphs site are closed and fenced off.
-wells : you might be lucky to have the door open for a worker/ truck
-petroglyphs : there is a small gate, try your luck to see if it is open. Otherwise you can walk around the fence and enter anyway.

A little noisy by the highway and the busy road. However it is safe and free! A few others here also. The slope isn’t bad for our 19’ camper van.

A very peaceful, quiet and beautiful spot for the night. People were fishing when I pulled in. After they left I had the place to myself. I had a good Verizon signal using my wee boost.

Not a bad stop on Bahía de Conception. Definitely more of a community based site, with little offerings when discussing amenities. Vendors are around all day long til the sun sets, and some people have generators, but there is a noise ordinance at 10 PM so that helps. The North side of the bay is much calmer, great for kayaking/paddleboards/swimming. $250 Pesos per night

Stayed here a few nights. Locals said its mostly safe here compared to other areas. I left my camper parkside and no one bothered me. Plenty of service on my HomeFi.

Slept great, idling trucks and BK exhaust could be annoying but we were too tired to care. WiFi didn't reach to our spot adjacent to the drive through window. BK closes doors at 10 pm so use bathroom before then!

The road is horrible when you first come in, we didn’t attempt to go further and parked near the entrance area. Didn’t want to risk it. Overall it was okay for a night. Lots of road noise where we were, pretty sure if you go further in it’s obviously be a lot quieter.

This spot is awesome! It is secluded and has nice views all around, including some really neat rock formations. There are 7 - 8 spots for big rigs or vans in this area, but we think this location is the best. Easy access, maybe messy with some rain; we're here and it is dry. We're driving a 28' RV and towing a Jeep; no issues. We did disconnect where we pulled off, though, to scout. No amenities. Gas in Nixon; 10 ish minutes away. Right now there are several rattle snakes in the area. They leave you alone if you leave them alone. One bar Verizon, 1 bar TMobile. Very quiet, a hidden treasure. We've seen very few people here in our 6 day stay. No trash, very clean. Please pack out all your trash. Would stay here again.

Lovely place. Quiet and great for a peaceful night and morning. Dog park is clean and spacious. We have a ram pro master 3500 and we got into tent area 1. We called the same day paid $$ and checked in online. They have night registration available which was super convenient for us because we got in at 10pm. It’s just off the highway so very great spot to stop and go. Staff is extremely friendly and take good care of the area. The laundry facility was great to have onsite.

BEES, BEES and more BEES 🐝

A great place with a lot of spots to camp (most are not flat), but we got absolutely swarmed with bees inside our van and had to figure out a way to get them all out. They're not mean, we never got stung, but they are in search for water. We had 50 - 60 in our van at one time.

There are pit toilets, but they are right at the entrance so unless you park right away you will have to drive or bike to them.

Great place to sleep, but don't leave your vehicle doors open at all. Very dry here, so would probably be a different experience if it had rained recently.
