travelingcows | Took the dirt road along the top in our 24' Sprinter. Found a nice spot with beautiful 360° views. Friendly residents came by getting exercise for themselves and their dogs. Strong T-Mobile signal. Some trash, but not any more than I'd expect on vacant land near housing developments. |

kwstefanyk | There are several areas in this state park to camp- big sage was a FC/FS in the off season (April) we stayed at a basic site with water and vault toilets. $33 USD for non-state residents which seemed steep. Nice quiet campground with only a few others camped here and lake front. |

spontaneouseight42 | There is a campground here but there’s also tons of open parking around the ball fields. Unfortunately RIGHT beside the train tracks. There was nobody around. Easily overnight. |

DRR | I stayed one night, I paid 170 R per person, the only thing I recommend are the bathrooms that look like a hotel, the floor is full of sharp gravel and it is very solid, impossible to put up the tent, there are people making noise all the time walking on these gravels impossible to sleep all night, if you have people next to you be prepared to listen to everything they say, when you enter they look at you as if selecting who can enter and who cannot, you must fill out a slightly racist form. |

powerfulcanopy86 | School definitely NOT abandoned. arrived here by bicycle already after suset after long climb from burundian side. Didn't see any guard as described so i just set my camp in one of those window-less buildings. Next morning after prayer call of nearby mosque i heard children voices and their number was rising. Soon i was surrounded by dozens of children in school uniform. Packed my stuff ASAP before the teacher came to avoid more awkward situation. If you gonna ask beforehand it anyway might be possible to camp here. But don't do it like me. Not the respectable way. |

roaming_dutchies | Stayed 1 night. At 6PM there were no spots at this side, only at the other side which seemed busier with traffic; in the evening spots came free and we moved. Spots are small, we needed 2 to not block the road. It was quite noisy with vehicles, music, lots of people and barking dogs, until deep in the night and starting again from 5AM. Terrible night sleep. Not ideal but ok for a city parking. |
