Nice spot. Right on the water. no signs banning camping or overnight parking. one exception is a sign for no tents to be set up. Small store, closed off-season. Washrooms/restrooms open Victoria Day (late May) to October 1.

We stayed in the loop right before the bridge for one night. It was perfect except that it rained hard overnight and was a mud in the morning. The road leading in was not bad, they have been working on it. We did not try going up to the upper campground. Only one other camper joined us. We could not hear the freeway over our generator.

Drove this route today, and it was an absolute dream to cross the border here. You really feel very remote, small typical hut villages, flabbergasted locals, smiling kids, the whole lot.
Now (dry!) the track is pretty torn up, but easily manageable with good clearance. No broken bridges.
We drive a 8T 4x4 truck, and were surprised how wide the track is cleared from trees. There are some local trucks driving here to collect palm fruit and probably wood. Very nice track to drive with bigger rigs, without breaking stuff.

Close to I77 and North/South Carolina border. 24x7 gas station across the street for bathroom use at night. There were 3 other vehicles staying the night. Pretty quiet at night. Nice area. I made the mistake of parking in the back away from the roads, but was awaken around 6:45 a.m. from unloading the delivery truck. I would stay again, but park in a different spot. Able to connect to restaurants wifi.

Quite an upmarket place located in the mall. Some parking available outside and guarded by security
The food is incredible! We had the steak sandwich and it was fantastic, its expensive but a good portion size

There is even an option of an almost English Breakfast!
The menu is quite small and simple but expect to spend 7000-12000 for a main dish

Drinks around 1000-5000 depending on what you have

We were taking a bus to Chile and went to ask if the shop had any boxes they were throwing out we could use. We also brought some cables. The owner said yes he had boxes so we thanked him profusely and said we’d come back the next day before traveling. When we went back to collect he told us he wanted £10 for each box. We had to get the bus so paid the money but his attitude sucked and it left a bad taste. First time in years of requesting cardboard boxes from a bike shop that this has happened. If you have a choice I’d use a different bike shop.

Room 3000 per night. They have a secure car park but the let me store my bicycle in a locked office. Hot water and central heating.
Nothing to write home about usual bed with a blanket. Fairly clean. TV and fridge. Didn’t bother with wifi as mobilis have great coverage in the room.
There is a restaurant but looked a bit fancy. Next to the hotel there is a pizzeria with decent pizza (also burgers and skewers but didn’t try).

Some nice spots up here if you look around. Some with great cell service and some with none. Nice area to hangout and hike around with the dogs. The Forest road continues on out to 273 so you don’t have to go back out through Greer if you don’t want. A bit muddy from snow melt still right now.

Stopped by here to fill my USA 22k kg tank. It was half empty. They told me that they will have to full empty it and refill for 80,000 pesos. I decided not to fill half empty tank. They are very friendly and helpful people.

We’re with a biking group that’s here for 4 days. $60 ish a night for power & water only (full hookups are more).

As someone said, this is just a parking lot with hookups. There is one toilet and one shower stall each for men & women, so they’re really catering to bigger rigs.

It backs up to a golf course, but is right under the flight path for departures from the airport , so you’ll have jets overhead until 10 at night, and starting up again at 5:30 am.

Weirdly, in the spot right next to us, there’s a permanent resident who is running some kind of a rehab center for injured raptors. So all day ,we hear screeching from these birds that are tethered to their outdoor stands, 10 feet from us. They did put them indoors for the night, so it was OK sleeping.

The chief virtue of this place is good proximity by cycle, and to a lesser extent, on foot to downtown Monterey.

Beautiful spot with great views at this site. Many other spots in this area for all sizes of rigs or tent camping. No amenities. Very clean; please leave no trace. 2 - 3 bars Verizon, 1 bar TMobile, good internet. 10 minutes from Alturas. 14 day limit. Friendly ranger stopped by and checked in with us. Highly recommend.

Street parking across from residential area but near commercial. Only signs are No parking for street sweeping 8am to 11am (Friday or Thursday depends which part you park on).

Few RVs here since I arrived. I pulled in early this morning, hung up curtains and worked a full day undisturbed. Planet Fitness next door. Lots of traffic but just passing, not a big deal. Verizon 5G was excellent.

We were unable to enter Argentina with our van purchased 1 month ago in Santiago. We have the padron of the former owner, the authorization of the former owner to leave Chile, the jurada declaration, insurance, in short, all the documents you need! And they didn't want to let us pass. without giving a precise reason. we assume it's because the padron isn't in our name yet, but it takes several months to get it! while Chile quietly lets us out... They were sorry for us (the Chileans, not the Argentinians of course!) (note: we have already crossed the border into Argentina several times elsewhere!)

Open. Still free with gasoline.
We also refill in water. We ask the water is potable but use your own hose not the one here because it’s for rinse after dump.
Very nice people here.
