No time regulations anymore. Still or again road under construction due to mudslides and rockfalls. Difficult during rain…

When you get there, park at your site, then go pick up a pink envelope by the entry sign and fill out. Sites are not level. No water or power. Bathrooms functional and fairly clean, but no shower. No laundry. T-mobile service down over night but then up again in the morning... no idea why.

We stayed here two nights and it was very quite. From the main road you should take the dirty road up to the hill opposite to the liver. There are some trees for shadow and a very good view of the lake. We didn’t hear anything from the main road beside in the night and slept very well.

Bicycle service shop. Better to contact in advance for spare parts. Very friendly guy. also can organise tours.

We missed this checkpoint on iOverlander because of the informal campsite displayed right on top, so I moved the position a bit north (more precise anyways). We had to give up our mangoes while driving north.

They are offering camping too. 10USD pppn. Children older 5 Years same price. Pool is temporarily under maintenance for the last 4 months. Nice Restaurant. Big area with a lot of trees.

There is a checkpoint here where you have to pay 10BOB. Didn’t negotiate or ask why because of little to no Spanish. Road is still a gravel road but not too bad. We managed with our 2wd.

No water at all at this time of year (may 6)

At this point the road gets really bad with big rocks and holes. We had to turnaround with our 2WD. The clearance of our car is not that bad and we have managed many rocky roads but this was a bridge too far.

We drove a few 100 meters more down the road. You’re less visible from the road and the water is a little stream which was nice for a bath (without soap). Nice quiet night.

we were told that the road was bad and better to get a tour but at this date it's totally doable to go with 2wd.

Wonderful restaurant with reasonable prices. Fantastic food, nice atmosphere, and even better service. Half a chicken for 16€. A gem!

We arrived today locked and closed.
We moved to the parking lot on the sea.

At this roundabout there are ATMs of what I think is every bank in Bolivia.
BNB.24, Banco Ganadero, BCP, Banco Económica, La Primera, Banco Fie, Banco Unión.
I tried every ATM. Some wanted to charge me 90 BOB / 7 US Dollars fee, some did not charge.
I could withdraw 2000 BOB at a time for several times at the BNB.24 without fees with my German DKB Visa Card.

You will find a parking spot in one of the neighboring streets.

Nice parking area. Busy during the day, but empties in the evening. Toilets were locked. Couldn’t find a water source. Nice walks around the lake. Cell service T-Mobile, 3 bars 5Gu/c was OK. No signs about for “no camping” and no one bothered us. Be prepared to arrive in evening as cars leave parking area

Great spot on the beach, didn’t see any no camping signs, but theft here is rampant. I had a 2gallon gas can that was empty and broken, cut off the back cargo carrier of my travel trailer overnight. Luckily I have a motion camera on the back of my rig, and I forwarded the footage, including clear face and license plate to the local police. Was told the drug problem in Crescent city is out of control and I’d be safer to leave. Which I did. I cancelled reservations at a local RV park and left. Bit sad that this lovely costal town is now dangerous and over run with drugs. Avoid at all costs.
