Bits and Bobs hardware store has a fair selection of tools and camping gear. They even had 250g and 500g screw on type fuel canisters for camp stoves(jet boil).
Also lots of modern shops and restaurants here.

Utterly sublime little camp site. Clean, gravel ground so bring a mat if you’re camping and extremely peaceful.
I paid €10.50 for a single tent and one night here. Bit pricey I think but great location.

You can use this marker for driving and parking. After this marker there is a gate and you need to continue on foot.

Got a knock at 6:30am. No overnight parking in vehicles in pigeon forge. Cop was kind & didn’t give us a ticket, but did tell us we had to move.

The field is now fenced. We haven't found anything here where we can stay. We drove on and later there are meadows where you can stay.

It was a bit further on the road towards Jama. A lot of sand on the road. Right side closer to the salar was basically undrivable today. So keep a watchout.

Don’t buy a SIM card at the little shop, we got scammed, promised unlimited but it was only 1 GB, for 7500 tenge. In an official shop from BeeLine this is unlimited GB, for a whole month :)

I agree with most of what has been said. Only comments : I didn't find the room dirty, only basic. I had the one downstairs, spacious, with a single bed for 20 soles and a big bed for 30. The sheets looked clean to me.
I tried the restaurant going out on the left, very tasty.

Hostal door was locked with a pad lock. No visible phone number to call. Don’t know if this hostal us still open.

Terrifying drive up. 2WD Ford Transit 2011 made it, legs shaking and van wobbling. Worth it. Don’t make my mistake — come BEFORE sunset.

Safe place, free of charge, shadow. At night time you can hear the trucks on Ruta 52 :(

The road is currently being widened and will be asphalted later. At the moment you cannot stay overnight there. I doubt that it will still be possible once the road has been rebuilt.

Très beau spot avec vue sur l'océan ! Le cadre est magnifique ! A proximité de la route, mais pas beaucoup de voitures qui y passent le soir et la nuit. Leur bruit est couvert par le doux bruit des vagues !
Par contre quel dommage de constater que beaucoup de monde laisse son papier toilette en pleine nature...

Come here very early in the morning before sunrise and you will be speechless. A wonderfull sunrise direct in front of the lagoon. Also nice for sunset and in the night to watch the stars while enjoying the hot spring. Of course also pleasend at daytime. Try to catch a timeslot when there are no touring trucks.

We had a quiet and safe night. Parked with a view to the lagoon direct to the pool. Beautiful sunrise. Enjoyed the hot water several times.

Even though there are signs saying overnighting is not allowed, this Walmart dies allow it. Asked at customer service and was told it was definitely okay👍Was told you park over by the garden section and we parked right along the edge by the grass and sidewalk. Thank you

We didn’t feel this place. Between private house. Maybe if you ask some people. We preferred to go near stadium.

The place is as described previously: you camp in front of the house on a grassy lawn (watch out for dog poo), and can use the facilities of the villa (big kitchen, relax area, veranda, braai). Nice hot showers, and there is WiFi, but nobody knew the password... All water is potable (filtered) and they have a long hose to fill up your tanks. The chickens will wake you quite early in the morning...

lugar muito bacana, duchas com água quente e aquecido, tem uns quartos com cozinha compartilhada muito bacana. o camping custa 7000 pesos por pessoa. Dona Adriana que nos atendeu é uma pessoa muito gentil como estava chovendo muito e frio e dormimos no carro, creio que ela fez um preço muito bacana para dormir nas cabanas, só estava nos no camping então pudemos desfrutar de todo o espaço. recomendamos o lugar.

UZ > TA We crossed this border from 0830-1100 on a Monday morning. Uzbekistan side: no cars in front of us, passport check was smooth. Didn't ask for our tourist registration at all. Car inspection (fully loaded Landcruiser as overlander) took 10 minutes, only look inside car, didn't have to open anything except the fridge/ freezer and drawer system. Tajikistan side: passport check 5 minutes, customs with temp input car 25 minutes. Car inspection 1 minute! All border authorities were very friendly. Only Uzbekistan car inspection asked if we had a drone/ drugs/ weapons. paid $50 for one month car import.

Nice little spot off the highway that’s tucked away so no one should mess with you. I’m surprised no one bothered mentioning how gorgeous the drop is just over the hill, picture attached ^^ honestly loved it

I tried to locate this place, but it looks like there has been some major flooding recently. There are piles of dirt and rocks all over.
