Many places above the road, mostly flat, some dirt roads going up. There are mine warning signs, but a Shepard went by twice. Else nobody around. Signs of war activities. Not so easy to find a place in this area elsewhere. Slow internet with Megafon.

Ashford County Park is the city park with a playground and walking paths. open 7.30 am to 8.30 pm. The gate will close. But just before the gate there is place for 2 times a van or small rv (we have a 24 feet and it was perfect). so we stayed just outside the park, before the sign.

A great spot in the cool mountains above town. As described by other travelers.

Flat pull off from the Trantrum Forestry Service Road near Revelstoke. Follow the fire road up from the main road at the bottom. Tantrum FSR is shown on AllTrails - easily accessible but may need 4WD for some steep parts. Flat spot with no one else around, and access to bike/hike trails. Full phone service with Verizon.

Pulloff along road. Beautiful location. Parking space for five camper-vans.

Parking area just in front of TIM DR Mart and a mechanical workshop. Places to overnight is just in front. Six places for vehicles up to 6 m. We were talking with a local living in the workshop at explained that there is no problem to overnight here. Very calm place as few cars are passing through the road. Tim Hortons a 100 m.

Wow! What a place. It may not seem like much if you’re landing in Kabul from home, but after 2 weeks crossing the country, this place is a haven.
The rooms are very clean with proper beds and sheets. Sit-down toilet and clean shower.
The entrance is just opposite the entache of the Iranian embassy. There’s a checkpoint right before, use the left lane to access the property.
There secure parking in the courtyard for a few bikes and cars (don’t know the clearance to pass the gate though).
1000 for a room with shared bathroom, 1500 with private bathroom and 500 extra for a/c (single).
WiFi ok.

It's literally next to the highway. I wouldn't want to stay there. But there were plenty of RVs when we passed by.

Great option on the route.
Several options of gas stations in the city.
Liquor store in the parking lot.

Drive same direction at the foot path. Drive along the soccer field towards the electricity line.

People walking by but not bothering.

It’s a proper ferry (no pontoon).

It is broken down - not operating. Ask people before you make the drive and ask more than one person.

Cyclist can go on a small boot.

Now $4 per toll gate.
There are 5 gates to Harare, so a total of $20.

Yummy fresh baguettes and loaves. Bloomer loaf was great for staying fresh for several days. Also wonderful banana bread, muffins, croissants and other pastries . Variety of sandwiches too. We visited here every other day in our two weeks at atitlan. The fresh bread was irresistible after almost no good bread for 7 months!

Cheap local restaurant. Simple breakfast with soup and bananas for 2.000. They also do lunch and dinner.

Awesome scenic route but your rig has to be under 3m, so nothing for big rigs. And there’s a lot of military / police facilities near. Expect a visit from guys with weapons

Seems like the Spar is now a Choppies Supermarket. It's okay stocked but definitely nothing special.

Good location, but no parking. Clean rooms with fan. Good wifi. Water is sometimes hot, other times just luke warm. This hotel experienced numerous power outages during our stay and was ill-prepared for them (no generator, no plan), leaving us without lights or fan for several days. Walls are paper thin. Prices fluctuated per night from $23-45 dollars for a double room. Laundry service available for 75 QTZ per bag.

Tap is by washrooms which is about 150 fat from lot. Need a long hose!! Also bring pliers as there is no tap

Barrier over road restricting height to 3meters tall. Further east there are a number of warning signs saying the same restriction and no trucks.

I thought maybe there was a tap I could turn with pliers, but there's now just a hole/pipe with no water (see previous poster's photo)

The bridge is broken again since yesterday. We saw it break live when a patrol passed by. We were able to cross it quickly and it held up, but we don't think it can continue to be used. Motorcycles, in principle, no problem.

great place, water is drinkable. did not see any shit around anymore ;)... I was told by locals there is a lot of wildlife in the area and to make a big fire. I found only 1 flat spot for a tent (near the fire pit)

Nice quiet overnite spot further up the road if first two sites are taken. There is a stream nearby at the crossroads. There are no services other than rock ring fire pit Please keep it clean and pack out your trash.

Nice place, we can stay over night. There's a beach & toilets. The toilets are closed overnight

Soooo delicious coffee.

It’s a proper tourist place with souvenirs next door. Locals come by and pick up take aways.

Try the African coffee with ginger.

Good toilet stop as well.
