Feels a little odd to camp right outside of someone’s gate, but it IS a road and there’s a big enough shoulder for our rig (35ft RV) to comfortably fit. Quiet, but hot at night, even for June (mid 80s). In between nowhere and no place, but good for the night to break up the driving.

Turkey to Iran. I had to wait 3 hours for the Interpol clearance. Everything else went ok, took around 4,5 hours in total. The customs officer on Turkish side said that this border does Interpol checks and it can take anywhere between 2-4 hours, sometimes even longer. Everyone was friendly, no money asked.

We stayed here for 2 nights, lovely spot

camping is still o lying $5 pppn which is an amazing deal, the ablutions seemed fine for us (the new ones are on the grass, old ones at the top which is disgusting).

We actually stayed in a room as we arrived late, initial price was $40 per night but we negotiated down to $50 for 2 nights.

They might have cheaper options for rooms.

There is no restaurant really operating, not even a bar for basic sodas or beers so bring all your supplies

lovely owners and great hot strings swimming pool.

If you are cycling, prepare for some hills out of Binga!

Really nice spot, view is great, saw a few horses around. However, people clearly come to the area to dump trash and you find out as soon as you start exploring.

I still recommend it as an overnight or two because it's quiet and peaceful.

There's one flat spot before the pinned location and at least one after as well.

Great spot, plenty of sites by the lake. Not far from the city, yet it feels wild. Good antenna reception

Well lit parking lot close to the highway good for a night. We needed a place to sleep in our car because it was raining pretty hard. Felt safe all night but we could hear the highway and there was quite a bit of light. Good place to go if you are in a pinch tho

lovely spot for tents, not possible to enter with car/caravan/rug anymore because it is closed off with a locked gate. you can park your car/bike and walk over the bridge though (what we did). benches, firespots ready. quite night and good reception. there is a blue water pipe with fresh clean water. something does feel that this place will soon be developed into something that is not accessible anymore. Also good place to drink vodka and dance all night ;)

Au complexe du centre communautaire de Creston-tout près il y a un très grand stationnement. Il y a un terrain de baseball, jeux pour enfant, possiblement le centre offre des toilettes et des douches, à vérifier. Nous y avons passé une nuit paisible

Came here on a saturday a little before 8.30 o'clock (opening hours saturday 8.30-14.00, sundays closed). They were already open for business. I was directed to the first window on the left (14).
Gave him our 2 passports and the paper from our hostel. He told me to come back at the same day around 10.00 AM but ended up waiting an extra hour.
He asked for 350 somoni per person in cash for GBAO-PERMIT & Registration for “express” service. But he settled on 325 pp.

Pernoitamos uma noite de frente para o mar, foi durante a semana, então tinha um pouco de movimento de dia, e bem silencioso a noite.
Compramos coco e usamos Wi-Fi do Quiosque do Edson.
Tem uma cachoeira (bica) com água doce bem perto.

We have been camping here for six days, our second visit (we had to collect our passports from Immigration which took 14 days. This is the most amazing place. Free of charge, no questions asked. Everyone is simply amazing. Cold showers but that’s fine. The dishwashing basin has the best view in the world, overlooking the yachts and Luanda skyline. We can’t praise this spot enough! Met lovely fellow overlanders from all over. 10/10

San Lorenzo Park - https://www.countyofmonterey.gov/government/departments-i-z/public-works-facilities-parks/county-parks/list-of-county-parks/san-lorenzo-park - offers excellent RV camping on the cheap.

Why on the cheap? Because nobody can figure out the booking system, so it sits mostly empty. The booking system is solvable though, and onto those who overcome it, riches flow plentiful.

If you’re a runner, there’s a mile-long dirt loop just west of the campground.
