This is a large turnout off the Top-of-the-World Highway on the Alaska side of the border. It is dirt & rock with a few fire rings scattered throughout. No services at all. Simply a large flat area to spend the night. You enter through a “driveway” that opens immediately into the lot. Part of the lot is somewhat hidden from the highway by tall shrubs/small trees, & part is somewhat obscured behind a hill if you’re headed east. No cell signal. There is some traffic noise, but the highway is pretty quiet this evening @ 6:20. Very light traffic for the past couple of hours. After a hard rain the dirt-without-rock areas get muddy. In that case the rocks are a safer bet.

Great site, easy gravel road in and plenty of space for multiple vehicles. Some muted road noise from nearby roads but not bad. Coordinates given bring you to the entrance road, turn right at the sign with the Green P and follow to the end for the actual parking area.

Rooms starting from S/20 (see the photo), but the cheapest I was offered was of S/25. Towel and soap provided. TV in room. Hot water wasn’t working in my room. I’m not sure about that. Good WiFi in some rooms (20mbps when I was there). Ask for a room with better WiFi reception. And parking… has a cochera for motorcycles and bicycles, but only between 6pm and 7am. I suppose there is a school running behind it. I parked my motorcycle in the street during the day with a cover, they have CCTV cameras pointing the street if that helps you.

Arrived at 6pm, it was almost dark. There were a few youngsters hanging out but super chill.
We woke up at 00:36 with the van shaking a lot and we thought someone was outside pushing it. We shouted and jumped out of bed but it didn’t stop shaking until a few seconds after. We went outside it was a beautiful clear night, quiet, no one around (no signs of someone running away either).
We went back to bed and woke up in the morning with the news that there was an earthquake magnitude 7.2 with epicentre in the coast. That’s what we felt.
Apart from that, the night was quiet and we woke up to a beautiful day by the lake.

Amazing to find an actual shower in the building - hot water, very clean and a hook on the door

One of the quieter rest stops we have slept at. The road quiets down and if trucks stay, they don’t idle … or at least when we were there! Clean bathrooms. Free water fill up and grey dump. Felt safer than most of the places near Olympic NP. Good Verizon service.

This was a great place to spend the night, it was very quiet. There were three other RV's here. five stars, thanks to the St. Anne des Monts community.

booked a camping spot the day of, and there were quite a few available mid week on Thursday. we stayed in Pecan hill site #92. the area is open so there isn't a lot of privacy. showers and flush toilets but fairly dirty and only one near pecan hill area so quite busy, since this is such a popular campground. the dance was interesting, if country music is your thing. river was nice to swim in but really warm, although it is Texas. it was $36 total for the campsite, $20 to stay plus $8 per person entrance. overall, a fine spot but not somewhere I'd stay again during the busy(and hot) season.

Filled up water using the spigot. Just as others have said the flow is strong but don’t stand directly over it when you turn it on…unless you need a shower.

This is an ATV/UTV riding area with dispersed campsites. I did not note any official signs but the USFS has graded and graveled some areas to camp at. Wasn’t that quiet at my arrival around 10 PM on a Thursday because of nighttime riders but it soon got quiet. Lots of animals in the surrounding forests.

Really poor AT&T cell service in downtown Tehachapi. Found good / free WiFi at the visitor center on the main blvd. Accessible from the parking lot, even when the office is closed.

They intentionally blocked a national Forest Rd so you can't drive down it, but the entrance pull off on 706 is large enough for several vehicles and/or for a large rig. Low cell service LTE. We arrived late and left early. No signs against parking. More parking than pictured.

We stayed here 5 nights and had a great time! It’s definitely small for bigger rigs but we had plenty of space as a 4runner & roof tent.
The food was delicious, the showers were hot, the Sunday yoga was great, the kitchen area was nice, and the view was spectacular. We stayed here while visiting La Paz during the day and it was great to come back to the views!
The bus is like 30min into the city for less than 3BOB. 273 was our go to to go in & 253 to exit ! ‘En La esquina por favor !’ To get off the bus.
The hosts and place were both amazing, they offered for us to volunteer for a few weeks as well, unfortunately my visa didn’t last that long or we would have !

Magnifique plage avec un beau coucher de soleil. Très calme, attention par contre aucun service cellulaire et possible qu'il soit difficile de se stationner "à plat" si vous avez un trop gros véhicule.

Nice rest stop with individual bathrooms. Filled up water near the dog walk area. Pleasantly quiet and for whatever reason the parking lot lights did not come on so we really appreciated the darkness for sleeping.

Nice spot for the night, the rest area across the road was kind of full so made my way over here. A better spot in my opinion since people are not driving through like the rest area. There definitely is some road noise but it wasn’t to bad at night. Clear view of the sky for Starlink. There was one other big rig in the area but plenty or room for the both of us and others.

Very safe and level. We asked when we arrived as well and they said yes. Beautiful overlook views. We went to watch the sunset and met 2 kids. The next morning we awoke with a knock on the door and open to find 10 kids wanting to play with ours. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming we ended up staying 2 nights.

Amazing view. Stayed one night, quite a few other campers up there. Still felt private even though it was out in the open. Also had 2 bars of T-Mobile.

Buena noche.
It was almost evening and asked the guardo to spend the night. Didn't have any problem and made us park beside the market. There was noise of the road but good for one night. Police came by to check passports and vehicle registration at 9pm. Good night.

really gorgeous area, sites are a little close and very tree covered which keeps it cool it the summer, but impossible to get starlink if you need it.
this is a great spot if you're looking for an unplugged camping experience!

Quiet spot once traffic dies down. However, big biting flies, mosquitoes, gnats and bees! The place is over run and we ended up staying whole time in the van. Our netting kept out everything but the gnats. We had to go up top in the morning for breakfast and straightening up - and even there, the flies were awful.

no camping allowed but the place is just as previously described and very quiet.
Few people were passing by in the morning, walking their dogs or cycling. Everyone was very kind and polite, greeting us (we were having a coffe) as they walked by. A small lake is just few steps away. we have a small campervan.

A very noisy place. You can’t hear the highway too much but there’s a lot of through-drivers and that is VERY loud all night long. Nobody bothered us and we were there from 8pm until 10am.

Sheltered spot close to Avonberg River in the Glenmalure valley. Car park nearby which may contain the odd camper or walker's car otherwise peaceful and quiet. No facilities but water from the river should be drinkable. NB. The nearby Glenmalure HI hostel seems to be permanently closed.
