proudbore22 | booked a camping spot the day of, and there were quite a few available mid week on Thursday. we stayed in Pecan hill site #92. the area is open so there isn't a lot of privacy. showers and flush toilets but fairly dirty and only one near pecan hill area so quite busy, since this is such a popular campground. the dance was interesting, if country music is your thing. river was nice to swim in but really warm, although it is Texas. it was $36 total for the campsite, $20 to stay plus $8 per person entrance. overall, a fine spot but not somewhere I'd stay again during the busy(and hot) season. |

fewloaf36 | Filled up water using the spigot. Just as others have said the flow is strong but don’t stand directly over it when you turn it on…unless you need a shower. |

shermancahal | This is an ATV/UTV riding area with dispersed campsites. I did not note any official signs but the USFS has graded and graveled some areas to camp at. Wasn’t that quiet at my arrival around 10 PM on a Thursday because of nighttime riders but it soon got quiet. Lots of animals in the surrounding forests. |

joewoods | Really poor AT&T cell service in downtown Tehachapi. Found good / free WiFi at the visitor center on the main blvd. Accessible from the parking lot, even when the office is closed. |

ErnieWormy | They intentionally blocked a national Forest Rd so you can't drive down it, but the entrance pull off on 706 is large enough for several vehicles and/or for a large rig. Low cell service LTE. We arrived late and left early. No signs against parking. More parking than pictured. |

modestacoustics83 | We stayed here 5 nights and had a great time! It’s definitely small for bigger rigs but we had plenty of space as a 4runner & roof tent.

agreeddegree98 | Magnifique plage avec un beau coucher de soleil. Très calme, attention par contre aucun service cellulaire et possible qu'il soit difficile de se stationner "à plat" si vous avez un trop gros véhicule. |

fewloaf36 | Nice rest stop with individual bathrooms. Filled up water near the dog walk area. Pleasantly quiet and for whatever reason the parking lot lights did not come on so we really appreciated the darkness for sleeping. |

Grayson | Nice spot for the night, the rest area across the road was kind of full so made my way over here. A better spot in my opinion since people are not driving through like the rest area. There definitely is some road noise but it wasn’t to bad at night. Clear view of the sky for Starlink. There was one other big rig in the area but plenty or room for the both of us and others. |

overlandforgood.com | Very safe and level. We asked when we arrived as well and they said yes. Beautiful overlook views. We went to watch the sunset and met 2 kids. The next morning we awoke with a knock on the door and open to find 10 kids wanting to play with ours. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming we ended up staying 2 nights. |

grandstadium31 | Amazing view. Stayed one night, quite a few other campers up there. Still felt private even though it was out in the open. Also had 2 bars of T-Mobile. |

Buena noche.

stazya | Quiet spot once traffic dies down. However, big biting flies, mosquitoes, gnats and bees! The place is over run and we ended up staying whole time in the van. Our netting kept out everything but the gnats. We had to go up top in the morning for breakfast and straightening up - and even there, the flies were awful. |

controversialpurple07 | A very noisy place. You can’t hear the highway too much but there’s a lot of through-drivers and that is VERY loud all night long. Nobody bothered us and we were there from 8pm until 10am. |

Bryan Jones | Sheltered spot close to Avonberg River in the Glenmalure valley. Car park nearby which may contain the odd camper or walker's car otherwise peaceful and quiet. No facilities but water from the river should be drinkable. NB. The nearby Glenmalure HI hostel seems to be permanently closed. |

laurie.arellano | Easy to find trailhead on a gravel road just off paved road. Almost zero cars on the nearby paved road. There is a little fire ring here. The trail doesn’t look like it’s been used in years. Makes for a nice quiet night with the windows open. Come prepared for humidity and mosquitoes |

zuzWEITweg | Going to the coast, this spot is just after the small village (has restaurants, small shops and a fuel station). It is accessible a few meters before. The place is between some rocks which provide a little bit of noise/view protection from the road and you have a beautiful view over the valley. Sun in the morning as well but no water. No Claro signal either. |

motolanders | We paid 1500 Som per person after negotiating, which included breakfast and access to a shared bathroom. They have private parking. The breakfast was simple and unremarkable. Each bed had only one sheet, no pillowcases, and no blankets, so we were cold at night. The shared bathroom was unclean, and the bedroom did not have air conditioning. |

anettemartens | Perfect beach place! The dirt road is pretty bad. A lot of big potholes on the way here. The water was very high but we could drive slowly. There are a few bridges and we could come over it safe. (Overland truck, 7 meter, 9 ton) but if you arrive the beach is beautiful! We stayed here 2 days. There are cows, pigs and dog on the beach. The sea water is hot and full of small fish. If you want to swim you must walk far into the sea because it’s a very long time low water… |

ufbruchstimmig.ch | Announce yourself before arriving through whatsapp. This place is a paradise and remembers us a lot to the wonderful campground in Baricharra "Camping Guaimaro". In case you are still dreaming of it, like we are - that's your place🤩
Everything perfectly clean and a great shared kitchen to use, WLAN and space to relax on a wonderful terrace. A big tree in the middle of the Fazenda is home to Ibises and Araras - wildlife straight in the garden. In the evening even an anteater was there and we saw tracks of tapirs in the woods. Wonderful trails to walk. This place is worth each real$! If someone is putting so much love and effort into a perfect overlander oasis, I hate reading complaints about high prices here!! We paid 50R$ per person because the river is dry and because Marc was worried that he's charging too much because of the comments here 😥 |
