Perú —> Bolivia
Arrived just after 2 tour busses at 18:00 (19:00 Bolivian time). Took us 40 min on Peruvian side, because of wait, processing at migration and Aduana together 5 min. Bolivian side was empty and processing of migration and aduana took about 10 min (without preregistration in Internet) - very friendly and helpful border staff even just before closing. Before entering Bolivia, police wanted copy of TIP and registration in book. Police man wanted money for it. We didn‘t have Bs yet and thus asked if this is obligatory. No, it‘s not. So after 10 min of forth and back we got license and papers back without paying. Incredible corruption scam right at border - don’t pay anything!

The adress is not right anymore. Now it’s in Huito street, next to plaza de la victoria, in a very not pleasant neighborhood. The hostel is dirty, the rooms, the bathrooms, everything, the walls are covered of black stains. Some windows are broken, so we could smell the gaz of the police during the heavy demonstrations on plaza de la Victoria. Moreover, it is very noisy, we had a guy screaming all night long in the bedroom next to ours, and no one told him to shut up.. But the owner is nice, and it’s very cheap, we paid 14 000 clp for two, for a private room with a double bed. And shower is hot. But still doesn’t worth it, I really do not recommend. There is a parking next to the hostel, it’s 5000 clp for the night , and approx 7000 for the day.

Really easy spot to stay. Very quiet considering the close proximity to the interstate. A few other campers around, but lots of space for all. Lovely sunset. Great T-Mobile coverage.

No facilities. Nice gravel open area in desert.

Beutiful place by the Bafing river near the Manantali Barrage. Nice staff, clean , lots of shade and lots of space for overlanders. Swimming in the River, Boat for rent, 2 huts with showers and toilets, water. Lots of birds and sometimes Hippos, fresh bread every morning...Bananas, Papayas, vegetables in the season... you dont realy want to leave this place!

On the Guinean side they went around with my passport to different rooms and I followed them. I was invited to the chief's room who asked a lot of details about my trip (I explained everything I felt was enough). No bribes paid on the Guinean side although the official asked another passenger (African) for a few thousand francs. I avoided his questions by starting my own conversation about military service, and after I had shown some pictures of myself in military he just wanted to take a selfie with me and stamped me out.

On the Sierra Leonean side you wash your hands and they check your body temperature due to the recent Coronavirus epidemy. They write down your details and check that you have not been in China recently (or ever?). If you still don't have a visa, it's easy to get on arrival for certain nationalities. I went to an office with an official and he asked me the address of my stay in SL. I'm couchsurfing so I explained that I'll stay at my friend's place and gave the address. No problems and no other documents needed. Cost still 80 USD.

Good location to stay overnight. Quiet after sunset. Nice swimming in the lake.

3b toll here from Sucre to Potosi. Police also want to see papers.

The best motorcycle repair shop in Istanbul

very friendly and helpful. showers and toilets very clean with hot water 24 h a day. nice and flat area for tents with tables and shadow from the trees. WiFi works quiet well. beautiful view over the bay of Quellón and very close to town.

We stayed here for several days. Very friendly owners, facilities not brandnew but well maintained and clean. There is a riversidebeach and the pitches a very shady.
In the reception is a little shop for basics. For I-overlanders they give you one night for free! We loved this place!

Roadworks blocked the entrance to "rp30 by providencia" spot so we found this one. If you manage to get over the curbside, there's a big grassy area between the road and the coast, relatively drivable (some clearance might help). We parked at a lower level behind the hill (thus hidden from the road) by the sea (right where this point is). Quiet, beautiful, there was no wind :)

No bright lights, shelter from wind, invisible to road and peaceful. We picked this spot (accessible by 2wd) as we didn’t want to be seen from the port

If you head down towards the left rock near the cross sign, there’s about 50 pelicans

Don’t think you are being tricked by stopping in one of the first cafes coming down the lancha! Coffee here is of high standards, its made with an italian coffee machine and each coffee comes with the barista presentation.
They plant and process their own coffee, even if you’ve been to other fincas it’s a really nice stop in San Juan if you love coffee

Price is now 450 for 2ppn. But it is worth it.

Decent place. Secure parking for lots of motorcycles and vehicles, but I'm unsure about big rigs. Slow and intermittent internet. 500 KES per night. No food. Can be noisy.

Hot showers, fantastic steak! We paid 600 for a camper truck.

Quiet with no problems for a small van. Parked behind several semis. No highway noise.

Gas station with propane for RVs. Near the campground Larry and Penny.

Fantastic place! Very nice beach right on the river, in the sun, plenty of wood for a fire. Exactly as everyone else said.

Great cooperative of 35 women, who show you and teach for free how you pick the cotton, prepare it, dye it and creat the tejidos. All 100% natual processes. The ladies are very nice and it’s really interesting to learn about how the beautiful fabric is made.
There’s a a shop where they sell their products so if you want to buy something, better do it here because it goes straight to the women and cooperative : 80% for the families, 15% to the cooperative and 5% to maintain the infrastructure

Very noisy but nice place right after the bridge traveling west.

Pretty expensive for what you get, most plates run around $11-12 USD. Food is okay. Atmosphere is very pleasant, service is good. Pretty empty on a Sunday afternoon.

Good place to do big loads of laundry. S=20, M=25, L=30. See website https://www.autolavadoderopa.com/?m=1. They do have 2 dryers now. 1 hour = 20.

Typical Guatemalan kitchen only at this restaurant! Very friendly service! Dishes between $30 and $50 quetzals.. we had a wonderful authentic chicken dish. We finished with a coffee and a cookie.. close to the parque

Beautiful place to spend the night. Very quiet. relaxing Sound of the river. We were alone. Some bottle and cans near the place of fire. We have collected.

Stayed there for 2 nights on the right side of the bridge coming south. perfect for a tent under the big tree. easy access to the river and there is a tiny sand beach to relax. great spot.
