Great stop before Etosha. Facilities crisp clean. Not a wild camping, but for us after much wild camping big relieve. Lodge like facilities. In bush land. Several pools nice bar, buffet.

Never saw any signs that said no water fill. As long as you have a pair of channel locks or pliers you can turn on/off the water. Attached a picture of what the spigot looks like.

Either way there’s a gelato place directly to the south with a spigot and hose. I’m sure if you purchase some incredible gelato and ask to use their faucet, it would be fine! :)

The east end of the causeway offers beach side parking. No "no camping" signs. No facilities. Steady traffic until about 10 PM.

Just a few trees, so not much shade. Camping is on grass, right next to rhe beach but there is a high security fence. Fence has gates to the beach which they lock at 8pm. The main ablution block did not have hot water when we were there and we were told to use the small ablution block. Quite run down and bot very clean - maybe they do not maintain it on Sundays. WiFi at the reception but it was loadshedding when we needed it, so it was down. Good for a stopover but not for a longer stay. Reasonable price (they granted us the pensioner's discount as low season discount) - we paid 172 ZAR for 2 people for 1 night in 1 car with rooftop tent.

I think I found a little piece of paradise! small campground, with more than enough space for your tent and car. Even in high season pretty quiet. View over the lake and some sheep a d chicken in the back. Could easily stay here for a few weeks!

This place is really easy to reach. Very beautiful nature and water there. Perfect for washing you and your cloth.

muy buen lugar, excelente promo para tomarse una copa con empanadas algo de 200-300 pesos. la cata hay de 100 o de 250 probando 2 reservas. me gustaron mucho los vinos, el bonarda vale la pena para matar prejuicios con esa uva.

As described, really nice out of the way spot. The wind was lovely. Quite a lot of locals hang out during the day and until maybe midnight normally. In the two nights I spent I think the cops drove by just once at 2am. No other issues!

No cooking allowed, but free hot water - bring polenta ;)

Really good ice cream! And small store.Actually artesanal, not nestle. The single scoop is huge. Nice shaded grassy area to rest, and owner was very nice.

Best wild camping spot we had so far! Tip: drive through a bit further to the right when you get to the water (might need 4x4 if grass is wet like with us) to get to another flat area with fire pit. Stayed 2 nights.

Very nice and quiet place, it's 250 pesos ppn, the bathrooms are not super clean, but with hot shower. The owner it's very nice and definitely it's better than other campsites around. I would stay again here.

felt very welcomed, no problems to stay at the parkinglot over night. Very friendly owner, she is open minded, helpful and a nice lady at all. The meal was good at the hotel and the restaurant reached by charming little train. Also the staff was friendly

What a wonderful place!! You don t exactly have to drive to the coordinates. You can camp anywhere. A lot of beautiful spots. Very friendly people. Only some locals. The walk up and down the crater is marvellous!

Shady campsite just out of Gobernador Gregores. Only 3 - 4 USD for camping (250 pesos per person). Showers, potable water, no wifi. Run by a lovely family. Great place to stop for the night. They sell soft drinks and beer - hot water is free!

Today we went through the border, it was our first border crossing from SA to Bots. Hearing stories about officers checking your car for food, meat, dairy products etc. But I most say the border crossing was FAST!

We got our stamp at immigration service (home affairs), proceeded to the exit gate of SA. Security guy asked us what we had with us but did not check! So we went on, went in to immigration service at Bots border. Filled in the application form, got a 60 day visa. And our last stop was paying a fee for 3rd party insurance, road tax, etc. It was P150.

And off we went in to Botswana.

Awesome place to chill after your border crossing. P120 pppn. Campsite is spacious, showers, toilets very clean, and above all you can enjoy a good swim in the wave pool, waterslide, etc.

Lovely place, we paid 750b to camp and use a hit for showers etc and including breakfast.

Dinner was over-priced for what you get, but it is a lovely relaxed setting.

Glamping site, but you can try to ask if you can sleep in your own tent. Not so cheap but very friendly staff, a campfire and delicious food.

Nothing special, but a quiet place for one night. 2 km from the highway. Driving southward is after the bridge a open part in the fence. mobily H+.

Our car couldn’t make it to the hot springs because of the river running through the road so we stopped here instead. Super sweet people who run it! They have a little shop with basics. They were out of milk and the wife brought me milk from their house. Good for dogs, we stayed one night for 10 pesos
