Google Maps is wrong. This is not the road to lake Chaxa, but to a mine. The road is only open for workers.

Instead take the B355 to the north en follow the signs.

We visited the firemen, they gave us a place in the patio, a bathroom with a cold shower, they lent us the kitchen and there was room to do laundry. we had trouble getting the wi-fi because nobody knew or wanted to pass the password ([Password removed by Moderator.]) and so you don't have to bother, we leave it here. The head of the shift we went to told us that he could receive us only for one day, that if we needed more, he would have to expose his superiors. But we stayed only one day

Price is currently 67 pesos for the token - it only fits into the top of the box one way. Showers last 8 minutes. Turn on hot only first until you get hot which can take about 30 seconds.

Very large parking with a few trailers that could be parked here for a while. Quiet and there's a 4G Claro signal. We had hot showers at the port. We returned here 2 weeks later for two more quiet nights. There is a weak on again off again free Wi-Fi signal.

We camped at the next door near the sign off the highway south of here, however, looking down on the town from above, it looked like there were at least two other spots below town and on the water where the fishermen go out from. Take the road along the water, don't go through town to reach these spots.

Beautiful beach, pretty easy to get to. Felt pretty safe although we were here Sun-Tues and had quite a few people, mostly Mexicans, pass through or stop Sun night. No facilities but we did have spotty cell coverage.

Good price for Vegas, especially if you want to visit Fremont street. Make sure to walk in to get the 21$ price. Friends called the reservation at Main Street Station in advance and the cheapest rate they were told over the phone was 45$!

It is quite far to the strip (we walked about an hour and can't recommend it, the part between Fremont and the stratosphere is a bit sketchy at night), but you can take the bus or an uber easily. If you want to stay closer to the strip, try the parking lot behind Linq for 15$/day, we stayed there for 2 nights without problems (but we weren't to obvious about it either).

We paid 21$ (+100$ deposit) on Main Street for a self-converted camper, after going back and forth if we are able to hook it up (we can only hook up electricity, but this seemed to be good enough after a brief chat with the security guard).

The showers are excellent and they have a cheap (but older) coin laundry (1,5$ washer, 1,25$ dryer). Couldn't get any good WiFi from our site.

Yes, its noisy, but I don't think there is anything less noisy close to the city center.

The perfect place to chill after a week in Lesotho. Beautiful landscapes, friendly people, breakfast and dinner possible (we had a nice braai for 130 pp). New, very nice ablution block, fast WiFi. Natural pool with small waterfall pretty close by (15-20 min walk). We extended our stay to 3 nights because we liked it so much. Price 130pppn.

A wooded area about 100 meters north of the main road. Very secluded, and obviously used for camping before.

Parking of Bozorgmehr mausoleum. Flat with nice view on the city, the mausoleum and the fortress. Was quiet off season. Toilet and water available. A restaurant and a small shop but don't expect too much from it.

Parking for the bridge mountain. From here you still have to climb by foot. It was a foggy day. Should look better with clear sky.

We were there to buy some apples, onions, carrots and potatoes. An advantage is that you don't have to take a kilo of xy. you can only buy a few once. but look, if the vegetable is still fresh or not...

It is very important to wear long trousers!
You will need a copie of yellow fever & polio vaccination, passport front page, Cameroon visa (each on one A4 page) and also one passport pictures, a hotel reservation and one form.
The visa costs 70'000 cfa for one month but be warned! If the nice woman completes the form herself, she will charge another 5'000 cfa! When we arrived and asked about the price, she told us it costs 75'000. So we only found it out by chance!
One other annoying thing is, that the one month visa starts from the date of issue! We had a huge discussion with the woman and after some time the ambassador joined us. He made us a good offer: 45 days for 80'000 cfa.
They print the biometric visa in the spot. You can do also copies at the embassy for 100cfa each.
