Sheltered from the wind.
Track is hard to see from the road because of the trees. Slow down to save making a U turn.

Pretty disappointing especially compared to the last hot springs we were at - Termas Geométricas. Now 7000/person. There’s two swimming pools. Not quite as hot as you would hope and there was tons of children playing and splashing around like a normal pool. Not worth the money for us.

Nice spot with really lovely hosts. Showers were warm- not quite as hot as we hoped but that’s probably because it was so cold and rainy out and we were so cold, but still quite warm with really good pressure. Bathrooms were quite clean and they have a nice little common area/dining room. Water is potable and we were able to fill up our 40L tank with the hose but they said only that much, as water for them is quite expensive, but they didn’t charge us any extra. Seems like you would have a nice view of the mountains but it was so cloudy we weren’t able to see anything. Still 5000 pesos/person. Would definitely recommend.

Cops pulled in and told us it was private property... so we moved over to the Walmart. Customer service said it was OK to park overnight. No problems until the next day when the manager sent the sheriff over to say there was no long-term parking.

Had a good night's sleep. No issues. Stayed in the normal car parking lot in our stealthy van. There are indeed free fountain soda drinks if you play in the casino.

Great BLM location. Several fire pits and camping spots along the dirt road. A couple of RVs there but fairly empty during this time of year.

As described. The place was empty and they let my wife and I have a free shower.

Reading the prior reviews you would think this place is a gem but it isn't. Don't understand the hype of other overlanders. The place is not bad, is "ok". Mora Campground less than 10 min down the road has a better infrastructure with nicely spaced sites on a lush green forest. Ray is an amazing host and you can have fun talking to him, so if you need to socialize come here, but if you are looking for a place to camp go to Mora. Same price, you don't have a shower but is all around better. if you want to shower go to Forks and pay $3 for a good shower in a gym infrastructure.

Agree with everything said above... cheap, local, amazing food. Will add that breakfast is real good. Also coffee is real coffee, many steps above the usual Nescafé.

Paved rest area with a nice panoramic lookout. No shade for the summer months. Full bars cell reception. Restrooms and water during the summer seasons (it was turned off when we came)

There are lots of truckers that spent the night with us. No signs telling us "No Overnight Camping"

Lovely spot especially for sunset, yes it’s crowded by locals but well we are the guests right ;) anyway we spent 2 nights there, the 2nd night the police knocked on our window at 1.30am!! I asked if there’s a problem parking and sleeping here in the car, they said no not at all and they are doing just general identification (?!). So they wanted our passports and took our data for whatever purpose.. unnecessary to wake people up in the middle of the night and scare them with blue lights etc with nothing to complain or warn about, don’t know. Anyway it’s allowed to stay there and a very nice spot to stay!

Plan more time to drive on this road, there is a lot of roadwork. It’s just stop and go all the time.

At the moment this is the only access road to the viewpoint. The official signed entry is under construction. The road is a single line dirt track all the way and a little bumpy but people manage with normal cars. Could be slippery when wet though.

Lovely friendly family. You’re able to stay overnight although it’s not the greatest spot to camp- lots of mosquitoes, a fair bit of trash. There is a toilet and cold shower, but very... rustic. Super cheap and safe and fine for a night or two before/after MC

The lady that made the tasting with us was a little bit stressed. Short answers and didn‘t took the time to explain. Maybe she had a bad day.
But anyway just to go there for the honey is really worth it. They have a hugh selection and the plain ones were very good.

Warning!!!! Stayed here 2 nights in different spots in a Volvo wagon. First night was fine, second night I was rudely awoken by cops banging on my car at 12am saying I can’t park there even though there are no signs. Told me I could stay the rest of the night at my own risk.

Paid 14 euro (they want cash, but let us pay by card in the bar) for 2 persons and car with rooftoptent. Bathroom was clean. Shower was amazing. Bar was closed now (25/11). They printed our visa for free.

Greece to Turkey:
Going out Greece went smooth.
If you need insurance for the car, make sure to pull over at the Duty Free store before you show your passport and Visa in Turkey.
There are multiple offices in the store where you can buy insurance. We paid 64 euro for 3 months in total for our car (Otomobil). All offices asked the same amount of money. They don't speak a lot of English.

Go back with your papers and go through customs. Passport and Visa went smooth. When checking the car documents and insurance, they wanted to look inside the car. In the end we had to get our luggage out and get the car through the scanner (drive back to the passport check and go to the lorry lane, but just skip the que if you don't want to wait a whole day).

Nice rustic campsite. We stayed for 2 nights and were lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves. Paid 180 per night for both of us. The sited are on sand, with nice tree shade, tap and braai facilities, no electricity though. The ablutions block was nice, but dark at night as lit by some small LEDs only. The swimming pool at the lodge was a life-saver on those hot days, although not very clean. All in all a nice place and good to support the community.
We were also able to buy some meat from the farm, which was luck as our meat had been taken at the vet check point. Beware!

This is a good place to have a cooler night than near the road 45. Because it rained a lot before we arrived, we preferred to sleep at the parking at the entrance (wcs, cold shower available). The part after the entrance is steep, can be muddy and challenging for you brakes, but not impossible.
