If you wanna camp close to the Canyon and wanna save 6€ p.P. for the the visit, just visit it from this site.
The views are spectacular and you could walk along the rim of the Dashbashi. The place is very easy accessible (without 4x4) and offers hundreds of possibilities to camp on the field.
Magti 4G+ worked with full power.

At the time we were there, the bridge over the Canyon has been built and there were a few cranes and other construction vehicles standing there, but just drive a few hundred meters further for a maybe nicer spot.

Stayed just downhill from the gate, 2 km up from the lookout along the dirt road, but the trailhead. Very wide area and relatively flat. It was a Thursday night and only a couple of cars drove by after sunset and a couple more around dawn. Actual position: 49.07851, -120.77039

Lugar bem tranquilo para passar a noite. Talvez inviável na alta temporada. Praia de pescadores, local bem em frente ao mar com muitas árvores, bons restaurantes e ambiente agradável.

Free parking 24/7 at Sutro Baths/Lands End Lookout. I can’t vouch for sleeping here though a woman sleeping in her car was packing up and leaving when I arrived so it’s definitely done.

I’m parked here for the day to work in my van. It’s nice and cool as the rest of NorCal has a heat wave.

I read online there have been break ins if a car is left unattended for too long.

There is also parking all around this area on mostly level streets and I saw other campers vans and car campers on my way here.

Personally I wouldn’t sleep here alone because it’s far out and unmonitored. I feel safer sleeping on a residential street when I’m in SF. But this may be a good place to sleep for others and it is a great place to park for free all day and work with a view (when it’s not fogged in).

There is plenty of level (overnight street parking allowed) all over the Outer Sunset.

They don’t have 2 hour zones or parking permits but they do have street cleaning so be mindful of that.

Also, goes without saying, it’s a residential district, so be respectful.

super quiet back road right in town, saw very little traffic. Not the most glamourous spot ive slept in but not super sketchy or anything. Having amazing signal made this spot worth it for the night.

Roadside rest area at the BC/Yukon border with pit toilets. Stayed one night and no signage prohibiting overnight parking. Highway gets pretty quiet at night. There's a pull out across the road for northbound travelers to stop and get a photo with the "Welcome to Yukon" sign but I'm sure you could spend a night there with no problem.

Nice area - but busy, especially on the main road into the loops. Large sandy beach, just keep in mind it can be windy (seemed windier than others we have been at same day. Very clean. Good Verizon service - ATT seems good as well.

As described however very very loud music from the village in the night, sounded like the speaker was by my ear. We left after 1 night for some peace and quiet at Mbega Lodge campsite.

Pity the campsites aren't overlooking the plains, but still plenty shade with a nice braai pit. Toilets (pit latrine) ZERO water in the camp. Birds & Bees & Animals hang around waiting for anything to drink. Very tough conditions. Saw Cheetah, lion, bat eared foxes, wild cats, caracal and so much more. If you don't like roughing it, this is not for you. Will def be back.
