Wasn’t convinced the employee knew whether the water was potable or not. There’s no sign and it’s located right next to the dump. Didn’t refill just in case.

Ótimo lugar para passar a noite.
O rapaz do posto foi muito receptivo. Tivemos até um chuveiro com banho quente! Em reciprocidade, completei o tanque de combustível e dei uma pequena gorgeta.

Lots of turnoffs on the road to the Caliente ridge trail. The valley floor was hot but it was much nicer and more secluded up the hill. Easily doable by a AWD or 4WD, nothing crazy.

A great place to avoid the NT heat for a couple of days. No power sites here but all other amenities in great condition. A small canteen to get basic meals. 3G phone reception only around the canteen.

Got the last spot on a Wed/Thurs night and called a week in advance. Would recommend calling in advance. Got a full hook-up site but also had a dump station that you could pay for without staying and potable water. Staff on-site were wonderful and amazing! We had an issue with a dog off leash, and they went above and beyond to ensure it was corrected and taken care of. They guide you to your site, ensure you know how to reach them after hours, and like to try to know you personally while you are there. Although not super spacious, it's a great option if you need a place in the area for a few nights.

As described above, spacious loos and showers, and well kept.
Traffic noise is there but it’s not that disturbing.
Had the campsite to ourselves.

Still 100 Rubles per night and vehicle. Shower is 150 Rubles per person.
Very cute ladies running the place. Good restaurant with homemade food (you can see how they cook it in the kitchen) on site.
They have few clean rooms as well but we don’t know the price.

This place is absolutely great in Winter! Can’t say if it’s worth in summer (didn’t try, was there in winter) but from the comments it seems obvious that’s a place for winter when Russia is very special.
Most of you come in summer. Come back in winter and enjoy the magic of this place!
It really is a glittery, sparkling ice world. In Winter.

Nice and extremely helpful workshop. Cashier speaks English. They have free hot drinks, WiFi and comfortable sofas for you wait :-)
We turned up with a broken waterpump for the windscreen wipers and they replaced it quickly. If you come before 12:00, they can get all parts from several local dealers delivered and work done the same day.
Open 9-21 hr.

This campsite is too expensive for what you get. It's quiet here, the toilet and shower are clean but a bit old. There are some nicer places on lake malawi, for example Ngala Beach. We stayed anyway because all camp owners are having difficult time because of Covid. Restaurant is closed at the moment and under maintenance. USD 15 pp

beautiful cliff over the sea. Easy to find. We spent one night (a very windy night). Recommended, although, if windy, I would not recommend it for tents.

Sadly there were a bit of garbage on the bushes (mostly beer cans). We clean as much as possible, but please remember to clean up after you!

This is a small parking lot at the trailhead to Penny Lake Preserve. There aren’t any signs saying no overnight parking - so I gave it a go & didn’t run into any issues! No bathrooms, but a strong cell signal (Verizon) & was very quiet the whole night (some walkers using the trail arrived around 7am). A good little spot for stealth camping.

NO OVERNIGHT PARKING OR CAMPING
Cops came and knocked and kicked out myself and two others that were just parked overnight. Said it’s illegal to overnight anywhere in Acadia other than the paid campgrounds. They were nice about it and didn’t fine any of us and directed us to the Walmart that was about 15 minutes away.

Walmart closed at 11p and opened around 6a. Parking lot was quiet and felt safe.

The spot on these coordinates was really nice- trash can, porta potty, picnic tables and charcoal grills along with one rock fire pit. Also a volleyball court and access to swim in the water. Great phone service with ATT. Leave by 11p

We crossed from Zambia into Botswana today. As you have to do the Covid Test in Livingston and you have to collect the results after 9 in the morning, it is very quiet before lunch. It was probably the easiest border crossing we did in Africa now. You go from counter to counter and everyone knows what to do! We did not have many Pula and the people before crossing the bridge told us you can only pay in Pula wich is correct. But if the cash machine works you are fine with that as well. I don't know what happens if you have no cash and no connection but don't change at a bad rate. For whatever reason we did not have to pay for the bridge (which is 20$) and not for the visa (30$ pp). We only payed for the road and for custom Together 512 Pula.
We left the place in under one hour. But there where no Truck drivers as they needed a bit longer from Livingston.

Just drive thru Bountiful and into the mountains! The road getting here is slow, bumpy, and rocky. And maybe a bit treacherous for 2WD. We did it in a Ford Transit Connect and went very slow. It took us about 35-45 mins to get here. We tried a couple spots along the way but couldn’t get flat. This spot we were able to get flat almost immediately. The view is better than anything we saw along the way. We also walked up to some other spots further down the road and this is just breathtaking. We came mid-week and there were folks recreational shooting and OHV/dirt bikes but once it got dark it was silent. We imagine it gets quite a bit busier on weekends. There’s lots of walking around the area and the road seems to just keep going into the gorgeous mountains.

Nice wild camping spot by the kaslo river at the end of a dead end. Drive past it on the mossy tracks.
Close to highway but quiet.
Firepit.
No cell coverage.

Some houses couple hundreds meters away.

Please keep clean!

Alfredo is a super nice and helpful person as well as his whole family. He is a real allrounder and is in the business since ever. Alfredo knows a lot about motors and mechanic stuff. He fixed our car and also showed me a lot so that I can fix stuff on my own. He is super patient and will tell you everything about fixing cars. He also let us camp in front of his workshop while we were waiting for our parts to arrive from Lima. His wife Jenny is also a warm hearted person and offered us toilet and shower. It was a really awesome time here. Gracias por todo Alfredo!
