Close to the highway, but convenient. Plenty of room for all size rigs, and three or four shelters. Not bad for noise at night. Too bad some people leave their trash behind. |

Pretty crowded campsite. Should book in advance, even on low season. The campsite looks well maintained. Except the men's ablution at the tent sites was worn out. No place to hang your jacket in the toilet, broken wc-covers, broken paper holders, etc. Not what I expected in an Sanparks.

Just before The Snake Creek road veers left, there is a rough road on the right. There are a few spots for a small van or truck just up the road. High clearance helpful. This is BLM land. Not many flat spots, but beautiful and quiet in a pinch. |

Spot as described. Lots of deer droppings on the ground. Spacious area to camp. You can see and hear the highway but far enough away where they can't see you. |

A great campsite with lots of historical heritage and friendly owners. Very quiet and great place for stargazing. Clean abblutions and some nice hikes around the camp. But really amazing is the braai pack with lamb meat from their own farm. Best BBQ we had in Africa. |

I stayed here three nights with a friend who also has a van. We would go explore Salem during the day and come here to sleep. There were occasional other campers as well. Pretty quite after 10pm. The back of the lot has a large grassy area for dogs and it is near a planet fitness. Great stay. |

So I don’t know why almost no one is talking about this sort of prechequeo here, but apart from what everyone says you also need to send an e-mail (!) to two distinct addresses of the migración services, with a form that you need to fill. Funnily enough it was hard to find on a Nicaraguan website, I found it pretty easily on a Honduras migration site. And that, 7 days (!!) before your intended arrival date. In theory then, the government sends you a reply saying that they officially invite you to their country, with a specific number etc. Middle-Age practices. I don’t know if that’s new or something, but I just did it the day before - too late - and then at the border it took them two hours to double check everything, they even actually called the contact that I have here in Nicaragua to check if it was legit. Crazy! But yeah after hours finally made it with a 13$ payment .

I drove around to the other side of the park to Wilden St. It's a dead end street wit an apartment building on one side and the dog park on the other. I parked on the dog park side of the street. There was no traffic and I had a nice walk around the park the next morning. |

Lightly trafficked arterial - wide gravel shoulder can accommodate a van or trailer. Slight slant. Nice to park near a public amenity rather than in front of someone's house. |

As described. Road up in good condition, as gravel roads go, and is steep, but nothing my Nissan NV2500 camper conversion couldn't handle. I opted to stay in first lot, under power lines. entrance to road from main road is tricky so pay attention. I actually am getting full bars with t-mobile. |

just your standard potable water to fill up right next to the picnic tables. (for water jugs and gallons, not really for rvs or vans that uses the bigger containers of water) |

No overnight parking signs posted. No camping or overnight parking here!! I received a courtesy notice, but typically you will receive a parking violation. The officer was very kind and suggested parking anywhere off a national forest road or outside of the Estes Park city limits. All of Estes Parks has a no overnight camping ordinance. |
