There are 2 separate places called Tecopa Hot Springs side by side. The one on the North side has been reviewed but I stayed at the one on the South side.

It's $25 to park and stay with unlimited soaks. What I like about this location as opposed to the other one are the private hot tub rooms. Each tub (there are 2) accommodate 1-3 people in your party.

They drain and clean the tubs each hour, another plus.

There are showers and you're required to shower before entering the tubs.

I was the only van parked atop the hill with a gorgeous sunset. RVs are parked below.

There's a large outdoor labarynth to walk plus pottery and art in the check in area.

While there is no wifi here, you can go across the street and stand outside (or in car with the window down) for free, unlocked WiFi.

The tubs are clean and hot. My back went out 2 days ago and this was absolutely perfect to aid in healing.

Big parking lot directly near the train station to Rom. Quiet at night because no trains and it’s the final destination from the train. A ticket costs 2,10€ per person into Rom and it takes around 30min. I can recommend this place for visit Rom on couple days. Gendarmerie is near and they driving by and check. Also you have cameras on the Spot.

Not a lot of hotel options between Villavicencio and Bogota. We found this one to be OK. Get a room in the back and it’s dark and quiet. Full size beds only. It’s clean with hot showers. Only 35K pesos.

There are signs that says no overnight parking. However, there are RVs and Vans parked long term. Folks says, so long as you aren’t being a nuisance and/or not parking a 50footer rig, it’s all good. Great for a night or two. Fairly quiet, toilets and next to the water.

Great place with wide beach. Big gas/oil structure in the background but got use to it (illuminated at night) calm and safe place to sleep and spend the day. I recommend going at the end of the road toward lighthouse as scenery is beautiful (walking path).

The Shady Grove Truck Stop.

They do allow overnight parking. There are facilities, toilets, limited food options, but they are definitely open for vans and RVs. Nice folks. Quiet massive parking lot. Oh and there is no ‘grove’. Nor shade for that matter.

Full hookup RV campsites with a playground, clubhouse, laundry, restrooms and showers. Everything is brand new in 2020 and 2021. We were traveling cross country and ready to stop . Very helpful and friendly waited past closing for us to arrive. Led us to site, made sure we had everything we needed. Overnight spots probably not available past October. Call

As I was up a hill on a curvy road looking for a place to stay, a local recommended this to me - just go through Stinson, up a hill, you’ll go around a curve and there will be a pull-off on the either side of the road but on one side there is a spring. Damn if he didn’t hit the nail on the head, and there are stunning views of the water (sunsets) right across the street. Without getting too close to the road, I have 1 solid bar of Verizon LTE service.

This is right off of Route 1, a large enough pull-off to count as a solid place for a night. It is far better suited for vehicles/RVs, as it is close the road/popular spring and is quite noisy at the moment (8:30PM). I got a relatively flat spot for my tent (no luck with stakes and it was quite windy, so I ended up tying my tent to my car…) but again, If you have a vehicle, you may be able to pull off more of an incline a little farther away. Be careful of the ditch at the base of the cliff as it is essentially the drain for the spring and is muddy (there is a concrete portion so you won’t come close to the water).

Kind of a weird spot. It’s a field with a huge antenna and a couple shacks surrounded by chain link fences… but we stayed here and didn’t get bothered. Stayed here before heading to congaree np

Stayed one night no issue. Got there around 1pm stayed until morning. Active park during the day/evening, people in and out but nothing at night and no police knock. Parked to the right past the port-a-potty on the grass by the tree line to be a little bit more obscured from the road.

Everything as described. Just 100 pesos per person now. Very peaceful and beautiful setting. Showers still hot, wifi only accessible at reception. But the area is big enough to hang out in and getting to know the owners is a bonus, they are very friendly.
