Camped 2 nights on the grass in front the the hotel. Very friendly staff and great location. The abblutions are amazing with very hot showers and the pool is clean. Not the most idyllic campsite, but great if you're looking for a comfortable place to visit the Falls. 10$ p.p

This Cracker Barrel allows overnight RV parking in the back of the building. This area of the lot is fairly well lit and has large spaces designated for RVs, and is facing the road--the building helps diffuse the sound of the interstate, which is nice. There are some trains that travel nearby, honking their horns at intersections, so if you are a light sleeper, this may not be the place for you. Otherwise, it was quite quiet Make sure you patronize any facility that allows you to stay overnight. For me, getting some french toast for breakfast is a lot nicer than dealing with another Walmart. (Open 7am-9pm)
Home Depot is right next door, as well, so if you need to get some tools/supplies you can easily walk over.

leaving Ecuador direction Columbia!

yes all right.

First show your tip here.
Vanessa will send an email to the Ecuadorian boarder Station where you come in with your motorhome first. in this case before Corona. There they make a prolongation for some days in the official computer system of the aduana. in our case for 12 days more.
that's all. very easy.

Vanessa told us after half an hour that our motorhome now is officially approved for twelve days in Ecuador. during this time we are free to cross the border to columbia at any time.

Large spot next to the road that is great for an overnight stay. Only spot we could find without parking restrictions, everywhere else specifically says no campers.

Right next to the ocean and if the time of year is right, you might even see the rocks covered in seals. Traffic was fairly light overnight but you might need earplugs, and we weren't bothered by anyone. Loved falling asleep to the sound of waves and seals!

Not the easiest place to use! Was a little tricky to find. 900 pesos to enter at the Gate, then keep driving until you see the football fields. Park up here and walk down the left hand side of the pitches and you'll see the toilets, just before the cafe. I managed to get in okay but my partner walked in after me and was questioned by someone and they stopped him going in - probably because he was carrying his swimshorts and towel! If you are subtle, park the van a distance away and worst comes to the worst, wear some sporty gear, you should be fine.

Also, the showers don't have doors so ideally bring a bathing suit - or a lot of confidence!

Road from General Zaragoza to here is up there among the worst I've driven in 3+ years around Mexico and Central America! Took around three hours to drive 40km, a rocky, rutted and in some places steep nightmare that will test your chassis, brakes, tyres, wiring, internal fittings, cupboard doors fastenings, nerves and patience! Beautiful views and forest, but if my van had a voice it would have done a lot of loud swearing. If you care about your vehicle I strongly suggest routing via Ambarri instead!

We were camping down the main down and a man stopped by offering us a shower, bathrooms, and the restaurant “3 minutes down the road.” We believe this was the owner. Friendly guy!

We were the only guests here. Only wanted a spot for our tent . But they basically gave us a little house, where we were able to put our bicycles in and sleep in our own sleeping bags.
We only paid 200 pesos for 2 people.
They have cold showers, toilets.
They even offered us coffee at the morning.

Tried the Spa, but fully booked. As it was already late decided to check this Fence-place. Parked at the end of the fence near dogpark and beach-entry. Hopefully it will stay as quiet as it is now.

200pesos for two people, truck and dog. They opened a room for us for bathroom and shower. There's not a lot of options on this stretch, but it's a safe option for the weary travelers. A little road noise but it quiets down at night.

Very safe and clean place even for very large campers (ours is 10ft high and 24ft long). $25 the first night, from the second night $20. Dog 1$ per night extra. Very clean showers and toilets. An indoor pool with guest kitchen and lounge area, if you have enough of the mosquitoes. Jörg and Inka are very keen to make it nice for their guests and sometimes celebrate together. They have two female shepherd dogs that are very sharp. We didn't dare to leave our dog with them.

The first few spots on this road were taken so I drove a bit farther up, the road got a bit steep and potholed but my Honda Element did fine. Great view since you’re a bit higher up, very small flat spot that fits a car/tent. Fire pit. Full 5 bars service with cricket. Perfect for in between Zion and Bryce Canyon parks!

Absolutely stunning views. Be very careful about how you route into this spot. Make sure to route in from US89a. There are other ways but they are mostly jeep trails. We drove from Grand Canyon highway (67) I would say it is 4x4 only. I made it in 2wd in my van but any misstep would have required 4x4 and some skill to get out.
We took the short route out and it was rough. Nothing you can’t do with a 2wd with a little ground clearance but the road was corrugated for 25miles.

Parking area just off the main highway. We didn't venture up the trails as there were signs saying residential use and public property if you drive back past the main area. Seems like people park there and walk their dogs, based on the amount of dog poo. There's lots of deadfall to use as firewood if you're camping nearby!

Google maps will chart the course then offer “shorter routes” First stop was a horse ranch in Peyton. 🤷🏼‍♂️ Repeatedly Google tried to go anywhere but here. Had to use a road map, what a novel idea.
So Hwy 87 to rim road.
About two miles before the official campground on the dirt rim road 300 there was a sign that said “No roadside camping past this point.” Still several fire rings here so I’m giving it a shot. Don’t like the stress of someone telling me I have to leave late in the evening… Crappy campground just down the road.
