My husband and I stayed the night here on Friday night. We rolled in at about 10:30pm. There is a tree line at the back of the lot which was where we parked- close to two other RVs and one other car camper like us. The Walmart closed at 11pm. The lot is well lit for safety but quiet overnight and felt safe.

The road to this spot is wayyy easier than at "baticueva near Zion". Just continue up the crumbling asphalt road another 100 ft or so to the second left. Had no trouble in our 26ft rig. Couple of flat larger spaces at this location. Room to spread out

flat parking lot, awesome beach very quiet, excellent sunsets. the interpretive centre has a nice en deck. The only downside was that the toilet was locked when we were here, probably because we were late in the season.

I stayed here overnight in my cube van. I parked in front of the sign on the wooden rail fence that says "angle parking only". I had no problems at all. And I had an excellent sleep. Pretty quiet. There were two other semi trucks parked overnight here with me. I bought $100 in gas when I woke up in the morning, then headed off to Prince George BC. This Petro Canada station is a great sleeping spot.

Last fill up before the Chile border. Two young ladies disscussed a bit between each other and without a word they filled up us 20 litres for Bolivian price. First time in Bolivia, unbelievable!

Down Forest Service road 746, past a number of summer cabins, where the road flattens out, are many large flat spots among the trees. Many have fire rings, ours even had an old picnic table. Very quiet overnight, though we could hear a bit of Hwy 12 traffic in the morning. The area was very clean. Let's keep it that way, so please pack out all trash. I suspect it could be busy there in the height of summer, but in late October there was no one around. We saw only a couple of young hunters walking down the FS road as we were driving out on a Saturday morning.

Nice little spot right by the lake. We checked with the restaurant owner first to make sure it was ok, and he said it was a very safe town and that no one would bother us. We bought some beer from him and set up our tent near the big white Pacucha sign right next to the lake. The wind blowing over the lake was pretty cold at night, but the sun was very hot as soon as it came up over the mountains in the morning.
We also visited the Sondor ruins on the other side of the lake - highly recommend! They are small, but you’ll likely be the only visitors there.
Route 3S from Ayacucho to Abancay was great the whole way.

Water tap on the side of the building next to garage. We found that many other places were closed at the end of October. Filled up gas and got permission inside to fill water.

Wouldn't recommend staying on a weekend, loud music played by a group having a party all night. Otherwise it would be a nice secluded spot

Um dos poucos locais com sombra na cidade. Tem uns banquinhos e dá pra fazer um "wild lunch" (almoço na rua).

This is a dispersed campsite in the Hoosier National Forest. On the south side of Berry Ridge Road, down a long, moderately steep gravel path. The campsite itself is fairly level. There's an approximately 50 ft wide cleared circle, with considerable drop offs on all sides. I had enough room to turn my Chevy Express van around at the campsite.
it is very secluded. Only good for tent or car camping, probably not enough room for even a small RV. GPS coordinates are where the campsite path in Berry Ridge road intersect.

Perfect place for overnight, close to the waterfall. Two places sandy and a bigger spot little rocky, as parkingarea. Very quit.

the name is camping las rocas, the sign now says 2000 clp and it was totally closed when I was there and the water turned off. I'm not sure if it is just closed for low season or if it is now permanently closed. the Gates are padlocked shut and there are branches in front blocking the entrance. I still slept there because it was quite easy to enter with the bike and I figured no one would mind. nice place to camp though, if it was open haha
