A nice, quiet place just beside the Ugab riverbed. Fireplaces at sites, but the guys had no firewood to sell, so we could collect some fom the riverbed. We paid/gave N$150/pppn (because rhinos :) Nice bush shower, the water was running again. Exhibition is pretty old but interesting. We drove in the dry riverbed, but didn’t see any animals. Road here was pretty rocky and narrow, maybe wouldn’t try it with a big (wide) rig. Riverbed tracks to coasts’ direction ends only in about ~2.5 km away to a swamp. To right side you can drive pretty long way. You can also drive from here to Twyfelfontein on the 4x4 tracks. They also have some merchandise, like t-shirts, caps, etc. for reasonable price (we bought t-shirt for N$250). Please, consider maybe buying smth and supporting the SRT.

We stayed there two nights. The camping closes for the winter on November 1st. From the camp site you have access to a beach where you can do some snorkeling. The camping also offers scuba diving excursions.

Clean and free showers and toilets. We paid 30€ per night. Cash only.

One of the quietest Walmarts we’ve ever stayed in. Called and asked permission and was told it was okay, just to park at the back lot all the way away from the store. The lot they have you park in is a large lot with no throughway to the exit, so there is no through traffic from folks going to and from the Walmart which made for a quiet and pleasant evening. There was one rv that spent the night as well when we were there. I would definitely stay again.

The campsite is very well maintained, lawn, trees, sanitary. Friendly and helpful owner, easy access. You can hear the street but not bad.

This place isn’t always open, don’t rely on it, the other store in town was also closed.

This place is super pretty, there are animals behind the owner’s house. Grassy areas and two small refugios for camping. A nice refugio with running water where you can cook with your own camping stove and do dishes. Also, you can make a fire in the refugio, the owner provides the wood and also dishwashing soap.
Restrooms are very clean and showers work with hot water.
Pay attention to the water, when we visited the water wasn’t clean, we had to filter it and then clean our filters, it seemed there was a lot of dirt in the pipes.

We stayed at this beautiful place for two days and really enjoyed it very much.
We immediately felt at home in this little paradise....it's like a home far away from home.
Martina is very friendly and helps with everything.
She showed us some beautiful places in the near where we could eat Italian food and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Martina also bakes beautiful and healthy bread and offers tasty ice tea.
It' s a place that we can really recommend for a tranquil and relaxed stay.
Thank you, Martina and your cute and nice little daughter Aria.

Super spot for the night. Very quiet and we also saw a group of dolfins, a bit far away. Maybe because we cooked nothing...😂

Great place for an overnight. Big parking lot by the river, clean and open all night restrooms. Be discreet as located in a beautiful and exclusive part of town. Park is used by joggers and dogs owners. Park open from sunrise to dusk although no gate to close at night. No sign of «  no overnight parking «  was found.

Trying to find the other spots (I couldn’t). I just follow the gravel road from Thane. Some parts are little tricky but with no rain and slowly all kind of vehicles can do it but not the big rigs. Some ground clearance for some parts will be appreciated but i saw a mercedes sedan passing by early so…

The place is huge. No shade, grass all over and pretty flat areas. Trash in some parts but i did find my clean spot.

Not the nicest wild camp but not bad at all. Specifically for bikers & motorcyclists its fun to get here and a good place to rest.

The place is EXTREMELY quiet. Spent a beautiful quiet night in here.

Great spot on the outskirts of Lordsburg and far enough away from the 90 that you can hardly hear the cars. There were several trucks with horse trailers that drove by on the dirt road in the morning but didn't bother us at all.

Just a little tip here, if the only thing you want is getting your TIP done you can park in the street right beside the entrance. That way you don't have to mess around getting out!

BLM Land just off the road, don’t blink - two entrances both are 2WD with a bit of high clearance needed. Great views and not much traffic only during day…

Great campground! We were driving thru and stopped here for the night on Oct 31, turns out it closes Nov 1 for the winter, so lucky timing for us. About 15 sites, only 3 other campers when we were there. Pit toilets were large, clean and well stocked with tp. Each site has table, fire pit and bear bin for food storage. Sites looked fairly private. Paved road all the way from the hiway tho the loop in the campground is small, tight so not sure a really huge trailer could make it round the loop without hitting trees on the side and not much room to back in or out of sites with a big trailer. No time to explore but it looks like there are tons of trails in the area, not sure for what activity.

Thank you for sharing. I would add that the access road is very narrow with vegetation, it's a bit wild and not really maintained, so I don't recommend large RVs.
In the evening a lot of mosquitoes and in the morning wasps. But the waterfall is really nice, we didn't meet anyone on the way or during the 4 hours we stayed there. the water is not translucent but rather opaque, milky, and cold, but very refreshing!

OK spot to sleep, bit of traffic noise in the morning. way better than a rest stop.
tried to take advice from @adampark2011 and go down by the river. I'm pretty adventurous with dirt roads but the road got very narrow and was scraping on the bushes so badly I decided to go back. Got a few body scratches and had my mirrors flipped back on my way out...
I think it would be a good spot if the road were better maintained

We arrived around 6pm and had a pleasant experience. There was a $25 fee for us to camp in our car, I didn't catch what the fee was for rv hookups as well.
The place is quiet aside from some road noise. There are 3 bathrooms, each with a shower. The showers look to require $1 in quarters, but we didn't use them.
The diner within walking distance is nice! Friendly staff and a good menu.

Spent a couple nights here. Awesome spot with about 10 sites. No toilets, no garbage bins. Just boondocking. Any size rig can fit. Off a nice gravel road.
Tons of trash left behind from others. Pack out more than what you brought in :)
