Got charged 2500 pesos for 2 people and a camper for 1 night - probably should have haggled and I’d suggest giving it a go. HOT showers although no shower heads and salty water. Really lovely campsite.

Nice hotel in Tiwanaku- all other hospedajes on iOverlander shut when we stopped over. We were able to negotiate 100Bol for a tiny simple room(think it’s actually a single!) but was quoted 200Bol at first(includes breakfast)
Man on reception was v nice, and they let us keep our bicycles in the closed function room downstairs.
Most food options closed in the afternoon, but the plaza is a little walk away which had a good del día restaurant

Nice place to set up camp; found myself not reaching sossusvlei from swakopmund by a stretch, and so was forced to find a place to camp. This road goes to the infamous waterhole with webcam, but that was gated. From the main road, there was also a gate but there were no signs indicating private road and the gate was open. There was no fence along the gate so in case of emergency going out one could always drive around it. Saw one of the most beautiful sunsets of my life here.

as previously mentioned rustic, old place. The prize is too high for what they offer! I recommend checking the much more modern, cozy Hospedaje Guayamil. There you will also have a garden with tables and reasonable Wifi connection.

Mixed private and Arizona state trust land (need a $15/year, state trust land permit to be legal). Several campsites along the well maintained dirt road. Lots of views of the mountains in all directions. Three bars of 4G LTE on my Verizon MiFi.

Our favorite campsite in West Africa so far ! Completely run down, no water (and no toilets) during our stay but it is an amazing place anyway, really quiet and away from everything. It got cold at night so we made a campfire. We used the bathroom of the Park Office (400 m away). The officials are bored (you will most often find them sleeping under the big tree in front of the office) and not very friendly (suspicious of everything you do) but they dont go to the camp area, thank god (must be too much work). Lot of animals come to the camp like antilopes, velvet monkeys and the eternals baboons. Watch for the baboons, they are looking for food and they are not afraid of you. We negotiated and paid 30 cedis/person instead of 50 as there was no water at the camp. The campsite by itself is worth coming here !

Entrance fee : 46 Ghanean Cedis per person + 40 GC for a 4x4. You pay it once you enter, no matter how long you stay.
Games fee : 200 GH per hour for renting a vehicle, + 12 GH per person per hour for the guide.
You can take your own vehicle but you need a guide.
Nice experience in West Africa but do not expect too much from it. We saw elephants and crocodiles.

This petrol station is small and safe but very noisy as it is between two roads. if you can find an alternative it would be better. Road noise is a lot from about 4 in the morning

Really nice spot. If you drive all the way to the end and take the route down, and then up the rocks, you can park on a beautiful (trash free) rock plateau.

It is a very good hotel, it cost us 65,000 a night for two people and parking for the car, neat and very quiet

I came back to this place out of remembrance for the old owner Jim/Nkwazi Lodge.
In my opinion it is still the campsite with the most beautiful landscape, sheltered coves with big granite boulders and white sand. The campsites are under big shady trees and there are power points scattered at certain places.
The water from the tap comes out a borehole and is drinkable. Access track is small and a bit bumpy towards the end, bug no problem even when it’s wet.
I was greeted and showed around very friendly. Price is still 10$ pp, now equivalent to 15000 Kwatcha, the first night has to be paid straight on arrival. Please ask for a receipt !!!

Right at the entrance to the city, we slept here, very quiet, hot shower free, convenience store, many motorhomes together.
