Very good motorbike mechanic even for bigger motorbikes like Honda 650 e.g.
They fixed my Boxer Bike and gave me a complete service, changed batterie and bearings. Highly recommended.

A gem within the city of Chichicastenango. Everything is as described. If you plan to visit the Chichi market that is Thursday and Sundays, this is the place to stay. The market is about 1km from camp. Bonus, the weather is perfect here, warm during the day and cool in the evening. There are options for shaded or sun camping spots.

Pulled up late on a Thursday night around 2am. Was spoken to by a police officer while setting up. He said he didn’t mind since it was late and was leaving early. Tons of owls and Great cell coverage

Fantastic sites, many level places to set up. The burrows were hilarious and did make a fuss through the night, but not a huge deal. This place is gorgeous.

Nice and quiet place and flat. Saw absolute nobody. The road to the place is not that rough.

Marcos is very friendly, the campground is nice, around 6 flat spaces. One or two big rigs can fit.
Hot showers, kitchen with everything you need to cook, potable water from the dispenser, great wifi, electricity, possibility to fix your car or get it fixed.
Minibus 359 and 887 very near, around 15 Minutes to the green Teleférico.
Some small shops nearby.
Would recommend staying here!
Wanted to stay some days, ended up staying 1.5 weeks.

we crossed border Moz to Malawi.
for European citizens no visa needed. So passport stamp 2 persons,
TIP car, carbon tax, road tax and third party insurance we had to pay USD 100 and 20 for runner Vincent. We guess it will be possible to arrange everything by yourself but it will cost half a day.

Rustic little spot near working site and highway, but if you get here later and leave early it's quiet. Small, only fits a few vans and no privacy. I stayed 1 night 6pm-7am, 1 other friendly van campers parked by me.

Rest stop with nice sunset views overlooking the mountains. Plenty of regular parking spots and a good amount of big rig/semi parking. Full cell service T Mobile and Verizon. Worked from my hot spot for several hours during the day, enjoyed the sunset and spent 1 night. A good mix of cars, vans, RVs and semi trucks overnight.

Handicap accessible bathrooms and picnic area. Bathrooms were clean. Felt safe. People will very friendly.

Nice stop for a night on our way west. Just 3 vehicles in the camp ground for the night. Local folks were fishing for Walleye at the inlet.

Just off the highway but tucked away. The road coming from the highway pull off was very uneven and rutted but levels out quickly. No issue in 2WD mid clearance promaster.

As others have said you need the parking permit. Super easy to get, I got one at the first gas station I stopped at in town. Seems like perhaps all the businesses there offer them. The beach was full every day I was there but I came on weekend. Plenty of other campers at night as well but everybody keeps to themselves more or less.
Friendly-enough beach cop came by a couple times to make sure I knew the rules/night limit and to monitor the length of my stay.
Fine is $500 if caught breaking the 3-night-stay-at-a-time-rule so I didn't push it and just stayed my 3 nights.
Nice to have the portable toilets stationed at intervals along most of the beach, they were cleaned and restocked with tp every morning!
#1 TIP I CAN GIVE. To my fellow 2wd folks, and especially if you have RWD like me in my Ford Econoline: stay on the wet, compacted sand! Even if it means while driving along the beach you head in closer to the surf. The closer you get to the dunes the easier it becomes to get stuck.
And if you do get stuck, don't spin your wheels! Dig out what you can but more importantly, haul buckets of water and pour them all around your wheels and as much as you can in the path you want your tires to take.
I wish someone had imparted this info to me as I got stuck multiple times.
Bottom line: a cool, semi-touristy beach. I was hooked on beach camping so I headed further south to the Padre Island National Seashore where there is 14-day-at-a-time FREE camping, MUCH PREFERRED.

Great little camp ground. It is just off the river and the road. We were able to get a spot here when other camp sites were full. Beautiful views!

This is a road underpass for a river, but if it is dry, it’s a nice option to set up a tent. Not visable from the road (which is hard to achive in this flat area) and road noise is not that bad either. Can be entered right behind the guard rail (coming from the south/east). All in all a good place for a night.

Noce spot across the street from the River. Pretty level for our van and quiet. No cell service on TM. Only 4 cars came by in 14hrs. A few more spots along the route none were for large rigs. Exact coordinates for this spot in the pic.
