A very very nice campsite, we enjoyed our stay a lot. The owners and their dogs are great company and we had some interesting chats. We showed up unannounced and it was fine, but better to call ahead (Neil: +267 72249272) to make sure somebody’s there.
There is a sign at the gate on the main road, but it’s quite small and we were looking for the entrance in the back roads of the village - just stay on the tar ;)

I put up my tent at 7pm. A couple cyclists went by on the cyclepath, otherwise it was empty

Stayed here one night on our way to Parque Luro.
Nice place although some garbage.
It’s basically next to the road, but traffic during the night almost died out. Good sleep.

The place is fine but consider that if the main access of your motorhome is on the right side (as usual) it will be facing the narrow street. Besides as the street is narrow and some cars drive fast out van was constantly moved. We couldn’t access the wifi or find the gas station with shower (at least it is not the YPFB by the south side) The place feels safe indeed.

I stayed there serval nights in my tent. It’s 5000 CFA / night. There is a kitchen and good sanitary. Inside there a fans everywhere.
In the yard there is absolutely no shade. Next to your tent there will be lights with motion detectors. While I was there, they were building a bar, so it was really loud all the day long and even in the nights. The wifi is not the best. Sometimes it was quieter useable, sometimes you didn’t even were able to google something. But you’ll have 3/4 bars of 3G connection with an Orange SIM-Card.

Nice Walmart! Parking lot visibility is pretty high and typically I prefer a bit more spread out so you can be more stealth but did find a good spot next to a number of Budget trucks onsite. Super quiet and clean. Ended up staying 3 nights consecutively with no issues.

I'm not convinced he owns the beach area, but we paid anyway. 10usd per person. The showers are cold and have a gravel floor, toilets work, water is not drinkable and there's no soap (but new soap dispensers).

ocean waves were loud but the view was stunning. lots of people swimming even though it isn't recommended.

We got max 2x 20 liter diesel in jerrycans for 5 Bol per liter, they asked 8,5 Bol (international price) but we did not agree because we had to use heavy jerrycan instead of getting it directly from the pump.

Crossing from Bolivia to Paraguay we first go to the new building on the Bolivian side.
1 Bolivian immigration
2 Paraguay immigration
3 Bolivian Aduana
4 Paraguay Aduana
All in one building.
Than we had to drive to the actual border where our car was sprayed with I don't know what. I had to go to a loket to pay 100 Bol for I don't know what and when I come back to the truck another 20 Bol for I don't know what. Of course we asked several times why we have to pay. The answer everytime is because it is the law, everybody has to pay! We got boletas for the payments with the correct amount, but never understood where this money is for (€16 in total).

Dora and her family are wonderful and very kind hosts. We stayed here for 4 nights, were able to fill up our water tank, do laundry and Dora's sister did a few small sewing jobs for us.
We paid 30k per night; 10k/p/n + 5k each for bathroom use.
Come a little earlier in the day - with two campers it's already tight, especially if guests are staying in the hostel with their own cars!
Watch out for low-hanging power lines on the access road and also on the property, vehicles over 3m will have troubles.

Didn’t make it to the exact gps coordinates in our Subaru Outback, parked near the trail sign. Not entirely flat but good enough. No signs discouraging overnight parking. Somebody was already parked at the original coordinates. Some young people driving the ATV road at night yelled to us, couldn’t tell what. From this spot you can see lights from the airport. I slept with earplugs, no notably loud noises overnight. Took our time getting out on a Sunday morning, nobody was bothered. We also left our locked cooler outside, no issues.

Cute camping spot, lots of different places to choose from. We were offered to spend the night in the magic mushroom. Great outhouse with hot showers and very clean toilets. No WiFi, you're lucky if you catch it once. They are closed for the hot season (Apr-Nov). But as we did not need any hook up we could stay for the night. Paid $25 which was discounted. Can recommend this place. Ladies running this place are called Michelle and Kim.

Small turnaround at end of road. Quiet spot at the edge of pine flatwoods and a marshy area. good sky and a long range view over the Marsh. Accessed by way of Oak Ridge Road. A few deep puddles on the way in from recent rain but the ground was solid. No visitors other than some pawprints left on the ground in morning and lots of birds and mosquitos. No firepit or other amenities, 2 bars of 5g Att. Plenty of other spots off of Oak ridge road as well.

Quite a decent selection, including some fresh produce, bread, frozen meats, etc. A bit expensive as it's the only shop in the area. I've heard it's cheaper in Kuboes if you're going that way.

hotel/restaurant with a large backyard. we could camp there for free (bikepackers with 2 tents) if we also had dinner there. they even gave us a key to a hotel room so that we could shower. dinner was overpriced, though (€15 for very basic 3 course meal)

Easily accessible with our 23ft european RV. Just open the gate (for the cows) once you get there and then park wherever you want. The place has an amazing view and a football pitch BUT the entire place is full of trash. Like really really much. We left when we found a SERYNGE right in front of our doorstep.

Spent two nights here. The owner of the restaurant Rafael is a sweet man. It's nothing fancy, is just a parking lot, but it's more thab enough. We bought beers as a thank you. There's a good deal: 3 for 2$

Pretty typical RV resort. Expensive but the whole town is. It was $89 USD per night for full hook up and came with one 6 minute shower per guest per night. They have a newer bathroom/shower building with private shower rooms (that have no working fan though so got very steamy). Great views and right next to the shuttle system to Zion or 10 minute walk to Zion Visitor Center.

Care should be taken when for those with 2wd, but I'm here as proof that it is manageable. Stay on the wet compacted sands! Be careful getting too close to the dunes, that is where its easiest to get stuck. And if you do get stuck, pour water to compact the sand and you will get out! I did it about 6 other times (only once on this beach and that was my fault)
Amazing, secluded beach! Tons of space between myself and the few other campers. Big winds and a heavy rainfall on my last night led a few other fellow campers to abandon their sites, tents and all! Pat me on the back, as an unofficial protector of the shore I picked over these sites and deposited their remains into the 2 dumpsters at the entrance, the only "trash cans" available on this beach. Perfect boondocking camping if you ask me. But the sand and salty air will get to EVERYTHING, especially if you need to keep your windows cracked for ventilation like me in my Ford Econoline. I relished in 7 nights and 7 days of this beach almost feeling like I had the whole thing to myself. If seclusion is what you're looking for, look no further. Cell reception is VERY spotty, but I had luck scrambling up the dunes to get a good enough signal to make some calls and send some texts.
Barely a single man-made building in sight!
I truly felt as though I was at the edge of the world.
Hope this beach can live on like this, with the same rules for decades!
14-days at a time, FREE! I had to register when I pulled in, no big deal. But when I left all the registration paraphernalia was missing from what I'll call the "welcome hut". So maybe you don't have to register anymore? Or maybe the gale took them away by force!
