We asked for an overnight stay here, with a big rig, without being customers, and the manager accepted.
We parked at the bottom of the parking lot, not to bother any customer of the restaurant, but there were very few, it was the back season. It was very quiet. Very well located for leaving early in the morning for Mysore.

This is the building where you can extend the 14 day vehicle permit they give you when entering Pakistan for the second time. You have to say that you need to go to office 219 to get a vehicle permit and they will let you through.

You can enter with your vehicle, although it is more comfortable and easier to go by taxi. You need a copy of the passport, Pakistani visa and a copy of the CDP (if you don't have them, they will make them there). The officer will write a letter with your information that will then be sent to the minister, and in about a week you will be able to collect the permit.

Everything is very simple and the staff is very friendly

very nice and clean campsite. showers are warm and water is potable. $21 a night for tent sites not sure about sites with hookups. only down side is there is lots of noise from the highway on one side and trains from the other side of the campsite. other than that really nice and would definitely stay again!

Had nice showers here about 2-1/2 years ago. Today it was closed (about 7 pm Thursday) with no hours posted. Showered at the aquatic center instead but would prefer to shower here.

Stopped by the next morning to check on hours. Open 9-4, 7 days per week.

Established campground with playground, and nice views over a lake. Nice setup and setting. Mainly older people.

Odai and the family team at Rum Planet are incredibly welcoming. We have spent 2 days camping outside the camp with complete access to the clean showers, loos and buildings. Supper is 10 JOD and breakfast 7, the food is excellent and plentiful. The whole team here are friendly, approachable and a fund of knowledge about the Wadi. Recommended.

Nice Soviet style Hotel. Good for a stop over on the way north. Rooms are 12.000 to 15.000 Tengi for a double. Breakfast 1500 per person. Very safe parking in the back of the hotel. Good shower and WiFi

One of the best Michi no Eki’s we have visited. It was golden week when we were here so it was super busy but I’m sure that’s not normal. A designated parking area for bus- sized vehicles, so no problem for bigger rigs here. A tourist information office on site, many restaurants, several shops, and one of the best bakeries we’ve seen. Right on the ocean, you get a water view and gentle breeze. !

Sinclair Guesthouse is a really nice hotel! It's definitely on the upper end of the costs but so worth it
The beds are huge and super comfortable, aircon is working perfectly and no issues with power with back up generators kicking in quickly if there are any power issues. Staff are attentive and the owners, Musa and Solomon are really friendly, kind and helpful.
The restaurant on site, the Cantina is simply fantastic. The best food we ate in Nigeria! Amazing pasta dishes, pizza, burgers, salads and more.

Rooms start around 38,000 Naira and go up from there

Parking is outside on the street but there is 24/7 security and the police general for all of Nigeria lives very close so the whole street is incredibly safe

Ask for Habib, the manager or Musa, the owner, at reception and they have offered to provide a small discount on rooms for other overland travellers

There is a beautiful walking path around the dam. It is 500 kwacha entry to go in and explore, which is worth it! There is a guardian at the office, so parking is secure.
The trail is very peaceful: Just nature, and there are barely any people. No one to tried to sell anything or be a guide.
You can probably walk it in 1-1.5 hours but there is also room to explore the different little paths for 3-4 hours.

Spent a night here, no people around, we could hear some cars on the road and at night had a few elephants come through. Very nice spot to camp.

Had a very quiet night here. The far right corner is the most quiet. You can even park your car under the shelter to stay dry, which was nice for us and our rooftop tent. Paid 5.000 as there was no sign of 1.000 to be found anywhere.

Good drinking water with convenient connection. Water is free. The crane is located at the corner of the building

We really enjoyed this site. As others have mentioned, it is not a super nice campground, but basic, clean and good location. After West Africa, pure luxury! Best part is the waterhole. After dark we saw lots of Rhinos every single night we were there (3 nights). It’s obviously just luck of the draw, but we decided to splurge for a night drive one night $750pp and it was terrible. Literally didn’t see a single thing in 3 hours of driving around. Much better option to stay at the free waterhole!

We filled our gas bottle 3 litres / 0.5 inch gas nipple. We paid TZS 25000 for 2 gas bottles together. They first wanted to send us to another company for 1 bottle to pay and fill here. But when it was 2 bottles, we could pay on the spot. TZS 25,000 is for 1 bottle of 6 kg.

now 10 lari, there is a gate you can squeeze through with 2 people. 4 showers and a toilet inside. very clean!

It was ok. They wanted all the Things (first aid, gas, triangle, driver license) after that they wanted Money and some water. We didn’t gave them anything. After about 5 Minutes we could drive. It was ok. Not that horrible we were thinking.

It is such a beautiful place. Don’t miss it. Clean toilet and shower, nice view to the canyon and condors passing by. Good food in the restaurant. We loved this place with all the beautiful flowers.

ATTENTION Visa Changes

Since last May 1, border posts ONLY accept e-visas, issued on the VOYAGE TOGO website. They take 5 days which become 7 reales. At the border they REJECT you even if you have the visa issued and paid for at their embassy. We have spoken again with the embassy, ​​they are very friendly in all the processes but they cannot do anything, they help explain the forms on the website.

We are being forced to stay in Accra for a week waiting for visa confirmation.

Local excelente, fechado, iluminado, contém banheiros, água potável, a 800 metros do centro da cidade, ficamos aqui no dia 02/05, onde ocorre no local a festa da Truta e do Pinhão, mesmo assim é permitido pousar, falamos com o Juninho, pessoa muito educada e prestativa. A festa é mesmo muito bacana com comidas autorais, chopp’s artesanais, música ao vivo com artistas que valem a pena assistir. Adoramos e voltamos no dia seguinte.

Manuel, the owner, is a very very nice guy.
We had made a run session to the faro before and wanted to take only a shower. He was absolutly kind and accepted to let us go in a cabaña to take a shower. He didn't want to tell us the price. Just told us ok for a tip (propina). Great!
We didn't stay, but his campground is lovely!

As described, free sani and the water is actually on which is a pleasant surprise this time of year

Walmart parking lot. They told me that it is not their own lot, only rented, so they can not give me an official okay. I stayed one night without being disturbed.

Nice place to spend the night close to the river. Very safe with the police station on the other side of the road. Clean and quiet calm with the road traffic during the night

I didn’t see any signs for rv parking like others mentioned. I parked in the side lot closest to the pond. It was pretty quiet meaning no others really were parked there. Heard traffic but not that bad. Well lit. My internet was just OK . It was in and out at times.
