Nice place to stay over night. Several fire places. No traffic on the road during the night. Not too much trash.

Beautiful, grassy lot behind the church. Plenty of room for big rigs. Nearby traffic noise but a-ok by me to have all this room … my dog can run!

You can only camp if you make a reservation 2 days in advance at least they told us. Nobody was there, really fancy. Maybe they just dont want people to camp here… we coudnt stay last minute.

Beautiful municipal campsite with several spaces with drinking water and electricity or without service. About forty sites mainly grassed. The ocean is on the edge and a beautiful little lake facing several sites. Showers and toilets are good and clean. There is a dump station. $35/nights + taxes with service and $30 with water.

Tried to camp here I think they were closed for the season? But there was not a number to call before we arrived. Too bad, the place looked beautiful inside.

This restaurant has nice sitting/eating places outside, next to the river. Popular with locals who are looking for fresh air.
There is also a private room that can be rent for the night (500 afn). No bed, you lay on the carpet with blankets. No shower, you can use the restaurant shared toilet.

Nice rest area before Mackinaw Bridge. Several other overnighters, no semis. Interstate noise was not too bad during the night. Visitor center open 8:30-5:00 during summer hours but restrooms are accessible 24 hrs.

Big gravel area. Room for many large and small rigs. No shade except in the grassy tent area. Showers and electricity. Neighborhood is run down but still felt safe. Many people with horse stop here for the night. There were only 2 campers in the whole when we went to sleep, but woke up to 4 horse trailers and 2 other campers. The place is so big we didn't hear most of them come in. Only heard the one that parked next to us. I would stop here again.

$26. Very quiet on the ocean. A mixture of tent and 21 ft RV sites. Showers are located 5 minutes south in a tent only campground. Both campgrounds are national park.

Very nice place. There are some trash piles in the middle of the area, but there is a small hill a few meters north of the marked place with no trash and a nice flat area. Quiet idyllic. Also good in heavy rain (as we had)

Not adjacent to the interstate so road noise wasn't as loud. Slept well and CB internet was accessible from the parking lot which overlooked a small lake in a nice area. One other vehicle was spending the night.

Stayed 1 night. Flat spots on small concrete parking lot; Directly next to the pool which has loud music all day until 9PM. We found it too noisy and not relaxing. Electricity, extremely slow WiFi at 4Mb/s, no potable water. Perfect location for the sandboarding tours. We arrived at 2Pm and had no issues with the road entry

Great free spot with plenty of spaces. We stayed here two night and we were the only ones both nights. Very quiet, you cant hear the road at all. The second night it rained a lot and in the morning the road was still doable with our 2W

We came here at 5 pm, but the gate was closed with a chain and lock, noone around. maybe the campground is opened just seasonally or on weekends, probably would be good to add a contact number to ask before coming. we moved on towards Posadas.

More quiet alternative to the Loves RV stop down the road. While it is right off I30 (well basically on it), no one bothered us and it was very quiet after dark - little to no traffic at that time. One other car was parked, but there was plenty of space (could easily fit 4 more). Lastly, the view is gorgeous!!

Lovely retired couple running a farm style B&B. They are both very hospitable, kind and welcoming people and still very active in the Keimos community. Warm showers, soft beds and privat entrance to rooms and/or self-catering cottage. Braai place to cook evenings meals and otherwise little koppie behind farm for sundowners across the orange river. Adorable puppies to play with ind little oasis style garden. Safe and quiet place for the night. We payed 890 ZAR for 1 night for the both of us. Cash only, as still attending card machine. They did however accept USD. Can highly recommend.
MC can be reached via the telephone number: (082) 767-7308

This has once been a more organised campsite - there are a few hook-ups for electricity which were switched off when we were there. However, there is a clear notice welcoming campers, and shows a charge of 100NOK or €10. You can feed cash into a metal box on the wooden building, or pay by bank transfer. The place looks like it’s used for fishing or boating events in season. There are NO FACILITIES. Plenty of space for all sizes of vehicles, and plenty of nooks for cyclists with tents - like us.

Definitely a beautiful place. The river had hardly any water. We camped about 100m further northwest in the little canyon with more wind protection. Only noise from the wild Guinea pigs. We had a cold night, water froze. Recomendacion for this spot.

This gravel parking lot is on the back side of the Pilatus mountain. The road to this place is paved but 1 lane, steep, with lots of blind corners and not maintained in winter. No problem with a Campervan but probably not fun to drive with anything much bigger.
Parking is relativly leveled and quite. Busy on weekends. It's at around 1200m elevation and you can hike all the way up to the top of Pilatus if snow permits. Beautiful views. This side is not touristy, mostly used by local hikers. There is a small mountain restaurat 10 min walking distance. Cell coverage at side is ok. gets spotty when you hike further up. I guess no one would be bothered if you pitch a tent here but it's not particular beautiful for tent camping. No aminitys. Natural water in form of streams and spring fed cow troughs close by.

Roadside wayside with 2 pullouts good for an overnight rest. Stayed here in a 35’ 5th wheel. Another trailer joined us further up in the second pull out. Some road traffic but quieted down overnight. No amenities. No Verizon signal

A gem in the summer. The in/out pass for the water park and indoor pool for the day is $10. Water park closes at 5:30 most days and pool closes 8:30 on weekdays. Showers still appear to be free.
