So we obtained the Visa finally. No invitation letter but about 4 hotel bookings on the way and an explanation letter of our travel. We also have given them a map with our planed route. With Swiss passport we paid 168$ plus 500k lls. We applied on Friday after having paid at the bank. We were asked to come back on Monday. Had a short interview and could collect our passport on Tuesday.

Lots of rigs here. They are pretty packed in but it is possible to find a site with a little more room in the back (away from the highway) near the trees. It was pretty quiet over night where we were although there is highway noise and train tracks close by. In the morning there were a few generators running.

Super easy to get to.

Regular RV park, was quite full when we were there because of a music festival, but were told it’s usually empty, so no need to reserve in advance. Showers were hot, laundry cost $2.50 per load, wifi was quite slow to nonexistent (could run a google search, but definitely couldn’t watch Netflix. ) we paid $25 for the night, no hookup.

A great place to enjoy the coffee valley! Sandrine and Vincent are very welcoming and helpful. We had mecanical issue and they help us to find the right mecanic .
Grassy area to park. We could chill out in a nice terrace with hamock and morning coffee. Amazing sunset and view over the valley!!
And the jeep service to go to filandia is very convenient. You can also do a tour in the coffee plantation (in french). We bought coffee and coffee licor , very tasty 😊!!

Perfect place to relax and enjoy the area! We felt like home 😊🙏.

This lovely family have opened their home.
We had some excellent schnitzel sandwiches (250pesos).
They make homemade bread rolls, media lunas, pastaflora (quince pie) and homemade pasta (but not every day).

We filled out German 11kg bottles with US Adapter. 1 US Dollar per kg.
you have to park in front of the main gate.
wait for a oncoming distributor truck.
He will take your gas bottle, fill it and bring it back.

Mechanics Taller Diego fixed our radiator issue very professionally.
He is very friendly and helpful. He drove us in Ushuaia to buy the good parts and repaire the radiator which was corroded.
We could sleep in the motorhome during the night as he couldn't finish the work in one Day

We highly recommend this place that was not yet on iOverlander.

Since there’s no potable water (safe to drink) available in the Maraú Peninsula, we purchased 20L gallon (10 reais) here.

A província de Maraú não tem água potável para beber, por isso compramos o galão de 20 litros aqui.

I tried to camp at Imlili, but it's an abandoned village and didn't like it. I continued cycling south and saw a police control at this gas station. They invited me to camp in the gas station. There's a patio with sand and a tree perfect for camping. There's a toilet with water ok for shower not for drinking, it's a little bit salty. There's also a cafe and a shop where you can buy some food.
:D

They had a full synthetic here and allowed us to change the oil ourselves. Nice staff. Tall bays to pull into.

The more expensive hotel in town (1000 Sudanese pounds which was 10usd at the time). Probably not the best night you'll have but it'll be decidedly be pretty good. Parking was right out front and there was a goat standing guard sometimes. There is also parking behind the hotel but no fence, no guard, nor goat. Three nights waiting for the ferry and the motorbike was fine. The room had two beds and was the same price for one or two people. Quiet nights sleep in a bed that in no way resembles a hammock. The attached bathroom was clean. There is a small shop out front with all the Cokes, water, and candy you might need. The restaurant has freshly made bread and the food will be served hot and tasty. There's even a shisha cafe right behind. It's a modern take on a caravansary full of the people stoping, staying, or just passing through this tiny port town.

This place will fill your bottles by the weight. The Zgas on iOverlander only does by the full 20pounds (even if you have half empty bottle). Here we paid 88 quetzal for 20 pounds.. go in, they weigh your bottle, then you get paper at gate, then pay and then they fill up.. very friendly!!
