Not the more beautiful stop in Koh Lanta because it is just a parking lot and not very big. But with shadow, quiet at night and near a large and beautiful beach. When it is open there is also showers and toilet but the water is really yellow...

Not cheap, but very nice. Clean and warm showers. Internet good for a movie night. Wonderful Pool. The Restaurant nearby (rincon de las tortugas) is highly recommended.

We stayed several days. 110v and 220v, water, showers, toilets. Some shade. Walled area limits the wind. Awesome dogs live there. Fantastic owner on site. He is sooo helpful. Big rigs okay. Dogs okay.

The facilities are very good. Hot shower, good wifi, shelters with electricity, sinks and running water. The food is reasonably priced and on a Monday night we enjoyed a 2 for 1 burger special. We stayed at both NRE and the place next door Nile River Camp. Both have lovely views but Nile River Explorers seems to be a younger crowd, louder and bit busier. The manager Billy organised an auto-electrician to meet us at the camping for work to be done.

Nice big parking lot on the west side of the city. 80 pesos per day for our van. 15 min walk to a great indoor market with lots of fresh produce and meat. Also very delicious and cheap places to eat inside. Good location to park and explore the western suburbs by foot. We have a dog so we didn’t take public transportation to get into the centre.
It’s surrounded by a beautiful park. Felt safe. Stayed for 2 nights.

Great little restaurant and quick overnight spot in the Valle de Los Corios where there are few options. Had dinner and stayed for free.

A little highway noise but very manageable.

nice wildcamp possibiliy at lago viedma with view. we just stopped on the side of wide gravel road RP21, which has nearly no traffic. (we did not sleep there) small tents can be set on the beach. place has great views at Fitz Roy, but no wind protection. the bridge over the river was good enough for a 8 ton truck.

Lonely place with magic view. We did not make to the end of the road RP 21 and to Estancia Helsingfor because of a small bridge (We we're not sure if that one is stable enough for 8 ton truck as the wood looked old). But here near a bay there is a beautiful view at glaciers, the Fitz Roy and icebergs at laguna viedma. Slept here peaceful, only one car passed on the Road, nobody came here. Place has no wind protection.

nice gravel road with flamingos and other birds.

NIce campground, park perpendicular to the Laguna Madre. Nice Sunsets, very quiet. Camp Host was SUPER nice and helpful. Gravel sites, so not much tracking in of sand into the RV. Spent a couple nights here, would stay here again, no doubt about it.

This area at the Bradshaw Trail and Gas Line Rd. is large enough for any size rig and at least 14 or more rigs. This is a really great boon-docking place with the Chocolate Mountain Ariel Range close by.
There are 3-4 fire rings there, no services of any kind but it is free BLM managed.

Recommend buying your cheese from the store in the main square instead of here, its close to the tourist information centre (they will show you the store that sells all local produce). The lady in the shop let us try so many cheeses whereas the lady at this place didn't want to let us try many so it was hard to decide which we would like to buy. They have a slightly larger selection here but the shop in town was a better experience.

People from el Guabo is really kind. We slept here 7 nights. Richard from Las Acacias restaurant gave us water and Wi-Fi, is such a nice person, we had good chats with him. Toilets at the opposite side of the car for 25 cts. We took a shower in the fireman building and we sold our handcrafts. There is a plug to charge the phone in the scenario in the park.

Large dirt pullout near a distinct (large) tree. A mile past the dunes— make sure to keep right at all forks. We stayed here during heavy rain and had no trouble driving out.

Matthias knows everything about any cars (in our case an uncommon Iveco) and will find solutions for every problem. Matthias is very helpful and offered the bathroom and a camping option inside and outside of his building, while his team worked on our truck. We preferred the profound knowledge - and the easement of communicating in german language - for a detailled and professional checkup of your car at 100.000 km. We were not looking for the cheapest mechanic as obviously do others, who complain about prices and risk to loose these rare high quality Overlander-Places... If you just have repairs any mexican mechanic with a typical mexican "garage" can fulfil, maybe you should go there? Matthias with his halls and quality tools calculated the working time, used material etc. absolutely fair. We met another overlander with the same experience. In the US, Canada or Europe you would have to spend much more money for the same work, despite the fact, that you need the service "on the way".

The colourful house where you can stay has a shower, toilet, kitchen, livingroom with TV and three sleeping rooms. Sammy is the founder of the Kailend charity and farm (www.kailend.org). There are lots of opportunities to help out on the farm which is 25 min walk from the house. As Sammy is sometimes in Lomé it is best to contact him in advance (+228 9350 1260). Sammy is very very welcoming and knows a lot from Togo and the region. He speaks perfectly English and French. We really enjoyed the time we spend at the farm!
