Great place right by Mount Rushmore to stay the night.

This is a RV park in the front and camping in the back kinda place. The sites in the bach are easy to access and are in the trees. It costs $5.00 per person.

Very good place, the rate is 15$ per night maximum 72 hours.

New in 2018. Mountain biking and hiking trails on site. 23 campsites, user maintained. Picnic table and firepit on clean gravel, level sites. Lake access. $15 fee May 1 to Oct 15 2020. Road access is excellent for rv short distance from highway. beautiful treed sites.

Lots of broken glass & trash. The view is amazing! People stopped for pictures & there was one small RV that was at the other end. The road traffic sound was minimal.

Dirt turnoff with small vertical signs that say camping. It's on east side of the bend in the road. Great for a night.

Pretty lake. Not to swim. Free. Flat space only one space near pit toilet. Space for rv and tent but not flat.

The name is wrong. Pousada Maria does not exist! The picture shown is Pousada Meu Paraiso.

I followed the path that goes more down and there's an other parking lot more quite. nice spot and nice to go walk in the park in the morning.

nice place but currently very load because of bridge construction. also there are new signs at the entrance prohibiting RVs from parking. stayed a night but woke up very early.

we stayed at the third larger spot for one night. there was a little trash but it was quiet and pretty and we had no problems. As of Sept 2020 the road farther up has been washed out by a landslide so the next ioverlander spot is inaccessible.

Gorgeous view. We were able to see the belugas!!! Bring binoculars. The only thing to be aware of is the high wind overnight. Don’t stay here if there is a storm. Other than that it’s perfect.

Cant miss the campsite, the only one with a big log and trees around it. Be careful of ALOT of broken glass around here and on the hill/paths. Pretty and peaceful place to camp. Shame about the trash and broken glass. Only two goat farmers in the morning. We saw a police patrol passing as well at night but no one bothered us.

What a view! There actually is a camping area just up the dirt track but it's littered with fallen trees and the road is impassable. Shame because there are some really nice spots with fire rings up there. Fairly strong Verizon signal. Some trail riders have been here with horses and there is quite a bit of horse manure. Dogs are thrilled, me not so much.

It is now forbidden by lots of signs to camp here. No chance to stay for the night, you are not even allowed to park here at daytime wirh a Caravan or mobile home.

Spectacular! Very neatly kept backyard of a priest’s mansion. All-in price of €5 per person + €5 per vehicle includes private bathroom (shower, toilet, sink), electricity, WIFI, fresh water, washing machine, toilet / grey water dump. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The "Finka Sommerwind" is still opened and welcomes Overlanders, Campers and guests for the german Restaurant and the cabañas!

I am camping here since the Pandemia started and couldnt be more happy! The Finka Sommerwind is, unlike most Compgrounds along the Panamericana, a full european style Campground with nice flat grassy spots, lots of shade, 110V and 220V connections, hot showers and good Wifi everywhere! Hans is an awesome contact to organizing visa and TIP extensions, travel plans, transportation to/from the airport. He organized a hiking guide, haircuts, massage therapy, a doctors visit and a paragliding instructor for me as well!!!
Great place, lots of activities around from biking enduro over hiking and horseback riding...
Who ares about Covid when you have Sommerwind!?!?

This is signposted as Anne's Inn B&B. The camping spots are in the back yard. It has space for 3 or 4 caravans. It is still sandy, this is very dry country though. But some shade available and is very peaceful for an overnight stay. Very friendly owners.

The location it takes you to is where they have electrical hookups. If you go further into the park where you see another playground, there is a nicer area. Water, electricity and sewer for free. A local city ordinance person came by and was super nice and welcoming. Felt safe and there were maybe one or two people in their cars parked overnight besides us. Great place to stay for a night or even a few.

As described, a parking lot. But: as we are the only ones here it's quite nice! Shower and toilets in containers, they have washer and dryer, too. Good wifi.

Pulled in a spot about a quarter mile from the lighthouse entry. No forbidden parking sign. Mostly level. very close to the sound of the ocean.

Clifftop spot with incredible views, beautiful sunset, and several spots to park and camp off the road. The road up is switchbacks and unpaved, but 2 lanes wide.

lots of places to camp phone works just fine with Verizon great views. this place is awesome.

Great little free site about 1km off the highway. Very easy access. Space for about 4 rigs. Gold in the river so bring your pan.
