Nice campground. A little busy on a Saturday night but everything was quiet by 10pm.

Stayed here on a Saturday night in May. Pulled in around 7:30, still 3-4 open spots out of 10 or 12? Stone fire rings were at each space. I was able to park my SUV right by the river, and really enjoyed this area!

Rest stop on the edge of Kentucky. Bathrooms, vending machines, and decent amount of mostly flat parking for campers and RVs. No wifi, but 3 bars of Verizon.

This is the water Spicket at the RV dump. it’s generally recommended not to drink from these. there is not a spigot here at the flying J that is marked as potable

we arrived on a Saturday and still found several available campsites. This is a beautiful area hidden in a canyon, with a creek gurgling near by, and Baker Creek is a first come first serve campground all year long. when you enter remember large rigs, trailers need to go left first. there are many large pullthroughts in that area. turning right takes you to smaller campsites which are more difficult to maneuver in for a large rig.

We arrived on a Saturday, the views from the top were incredible but there were many other folks there for day use, so we backtracked a bit down the mountain and took a left away from the view point. The moss-covered trees were vibrant and gorgeous, there were a few fire rings throughout the network of roads, the sunset was unbelievable on the side that looked out at lassen peak and crystal lake. We were there all day Sunday, and there were lots of folks who came to use the mountain biking trails, but it wasn’t bothersome. No one was there on Sunday night with us, highly suggest going during the week if you want more privacy!

there's a beach just down the path! shhh. great spot to camp for the night. I'm traveling with two kids and a dog in a campervan, no issues or concerns.

Beautiful drive first through the town and fish market then continue over sand path along many abandoned hotels. Made it to “Koufintine Beach” but the beach was unfortunately completely trashed! Also a very strong stink from dried fish. We then luckily saw a small pathway leading down, this brought us to a little green paradise, with many birds at the river/lagoon. Strongly recommend following this path (it’s only another 2min) and spent a night there!! One of the nicer places we camped, you see some boats coming by, occasionally a fisher that docks his boat but other than that super tranquil! I added some pics!

Really nice spot.
We did a hiking tour to the beach 40min down 1:00h back again

We stayed for one night.
I asked a local and she told me I could stay there for one night.
She promised me no police will come.
Is so far away from the city.

I recommend you this spot

Right next to Puerto Blanco beach. This is an abandoned( out of service ) little Harbor where you can sleep. The police use to make a round to check everything is in order. They saw our rooftop tents opened and didn't said anything.

Stayed here 1 night. This is the first pull off with good space for camping on cottonwood if you are going north. Plenty of room for several rigs and a few fire rings already. You are supposed to have a free permit to camp here which we got at the big water visitor center nearby. Cottonwood road is pretty firm, some bumps and washboard, but we were totally fine in a 2wd van. This spot had good T-Mobile- the next spot down the road had no cell service and wasn’t any better so we came back here for a shorter drive out the next day. We were the only ones here on a Saturday night. Overall would recommend this spot.

Away from the traffic of Hole in the Rock Road yet close enough to the trail heads for Spooky and Peek-a-Boo to beat the Disneyland like crowds.

It's a parking lot (gravel) by the side of the road, in front of the river Verzasca and a waterfall, with a couple of picnics tables.

Easily accessible to any type of vehicle. Was there with my convertible and a T@G trailer. People can't see you from the road. The waterfall sounds hides most of the road noise which there isn't much of. Access is right after mile marker 133 km just before the bridge when coming from La Tuque (see picture)

Very quiet and beautiful place. We stayed here 3 nights and shared the spot with other campers the last one. Nobody disturbed us. There is a little store across the river and the lady said vans come to camp from time to time and is OK. The river is cristal clear and very refreshing.

Typical Love’s with a twist.. on the night of our stay there was a racecar event at a nearby track. It was very loud and ran until 11pm so for those of you early sleepers, might want to check the local schedule.

Quiet spot, not at all busy the three nights I was there. Dogs allowed, but some people don't keep their dogs on leashes so please be aware of that. Saw many snakes, foxes, owls, black vultures, deer, spiders, beetles, etc. Something even nudged my toe while I was asleep in my tent, which gave me a good scare and laugh.
No-See-Ums are everywhere! I stayed three nights and came home with over 30 bites.
Overall, I loved it. I would definitely go back and I'll be sure to take some stronger insect repellent along!

There used to be a big campsite that now serves as refugee shelter. I dropped by because the website is still online. Could not stay on site, but the very friendly guard/housekeeper/caretaker let me camp on the parking space outside and use the toilet and kitchen. Perfect for the night if you dont want to wander off into the woods anymore.

We expected so much more from this campsite. The sites are a good size but very sandy and close to each other.
The ablution block is very nice.
The generator goes ALL day - as a previous comment said ALL SLK campsites should be run on solar.
The Savuti Camp is being renovated at the moment so there is also banging/hammering all day...

Relatively large pull off with great ocean view and quietness during the night. By the morning though a cop knocked on our window and gently gave us a warning as he said it was not allowed to overnight along the 75 miles coastline of the county. He said a ticket would be $200.
