this is a gravel lot just past the pit toilets at Stevens pass. I've stayed here on a couple different occasions during the off season, although I'm not sure if there's any policy on this. nice if you're traveling across Washington, or need to beat the heat for a night or two

Beautiful river and waterfalls with a perfect large pool to immerse yourself in and cool off, dive off rocks, or just contemplate the jungle around you. One of Veracruz' hidden gems! There are apparently two other waterfalls nearby, Cola de Caballo and Velo de Novia, which I have yet to explore.

Medium-sized flat grassy spot in the trees where you can park up. The site is managed by the family who live in the rancho next door; follow the track to their house and they'll open the gate for you. They charged me $100 for a night (travelling alone so not sure if that was pp or per rig) - more than I would usually pay but decided it was well worth it when I saw the place.

It's about 5km down the road towards Miguel Hidalgo/El Apompal) - turn left onto this road before you cross the larger bridge over the river if driving round the lake from Catemaco. Don't do what I did and follow the closest road Maps.me shows to San Martin, you can't get there from there and it's a rough road (albeit with beautiful views!).

it had rained a few days ago and it was fine to get down the dirt track to the parking spot, but I imagine it could get challenging after recent heavy rain; it's a bit of an incline. In other conditions should be fine for any vehicle.

A very rustic portaloo-style toilet on-site, no other facilities and no phone signal.

Good, reliable spot for overnight parking. Crack the windows and enjoy the sounds of the winds out on the plains. Polite security officer watched the place all night, felt very safe. Beautiful sunrise. Gets a little cold at night tho.

Campground with dump station. it's about $8 for day use which I imagine includes the use of the dump. Take a left when you enter from the gate and you will see a washroom on the right with the dump station.

We stayed here 3 nights. It’s a pretty big lot and it doesn’t fill up during the day. Mostly empty at night. Near the police station so the cops sit there to do paperwork. We left our van during the day in the lot while we walked to the French Quarter. There is construction nearby with new condos, so I’m not sure how long this spot will last. It’s by far the cheapest and best option in my opinion.

Stayed here 1 night. Gorgeous views. Felt a bit weird that there was construction vehicles and equipment around.

Coffee plantation hotel with swimming pool and restaurant. Very friendly family people own and operate the property. Huge property here for off road exploration is a bonus!

Still one of the worst campgrounds I have ever stayed at. Even if it is free! The trains alone - I counted 19 horn blast thru the night! Look behind my van - thats how CLOSE the trains are. Enough said.

Lots of campsites within a mile of turnoff from road. 22ft van fit no problem. Very quiet and other campers were respectful. ATV traffic in morning which we expected from other check ins. Nice view from our campsite as well. Only stayed one night but could easily stay many more.

Free water at the same spot of air and water for tire... The man says he will not drink it. For the tank seems OK.

The trail to get here is a bit challenging but should be fine with any 4wd or 4x4 vehicle.
Great place to see the sunset and spend the night. They now have toilets available. Highly recommend this place is very safe and people are super friendly cost to park is 15,000cop ($4usd) heavy people traffic after 6 am from fishermen leaving and people that walk or bike here in the morning as exercise

Okay this place is stunning! We almost didn’t camp here because we were a little disturbed by the swarm of Mormon crickets. But walking around and doing stuff deterred them from coming near us. The bathroom is super clean. The bbq pit is huge! Plenty of table space. I woke up to some gentle mooing of the cows about an hour after sunrise at 66° and sunny. The view from this site is spectacular! Overall I’m so happy we stayed here. We had so much privacy here too!

Here is a large meadow with a lot of space. It is extremely clean and quiet. Cows come in the morning, otherwise you won't see anyone here. I wasn't in the same place.

really amazing spot with a lot of history. look it up on Google about the community that once lived here. Very little signs that anyone was here but if you look you can find it. be careful walking through the grass. we found a open well that would have been used in the small community. I have uploaded a map that I found on a military site. and yes there is a old prison. but so you know and you should look it into it you are supposed to pay& a waiver. have fun and good luck

TIRES

My second patch in three days. I figured the first patch (which I got ripped off) was done incorrectly, but this family found another smaller piece in the tire. For a very honest, fair price of 60 pesos (cheaper than other place in town way cheaper than guy in Loreto), they fixed me up. I loved watching the two young brothers work together.

I gave a 20 peso tip to the pre-teen boy that helped me out. He smiled with extreme gratitude. I’m driving away feeling very good about this place.

Cheers all!
Happy travels.

Buen lugar, muy amplio, muy buena onda y muchas actividades a diario. Me costó 20 soles la cama en habitación compartida con nadie, incluido desayuno. Muy cerca a la playa.
