pasamos una noche tranquila y segura previo a cruzar a Nicaragua, hay baños y duchas gratis en el baño de hombres, no muy limpios, pero sirve... También pudimos recargar agua sin problemas y sacar copias en la ciudad...

Im not shure if it is possible by car, at least there is a nice road but i didnt check if you can access it

Its a Playground with access to the water with loads of horse dump. Windsheltered, tables, grill, volleyballnet, other stuff.

Pretty pretty nice up here!! Would definitly recommend!!!

quite little campground with electric and water hookups and fire ring and gril.

Stayed for the night after visiting the Natural Bridge, it’s a gravel lot across from their main parking lot. Not a bad spot and there are bathrooms available at the Natural Bridge visitor center when it’s open. Not too much traffic and wasn’t bothered at all.

Nice streets that border the fish boat harbor.
There is a small park here too. Quiet at night.

large sandy beach free to park. lots of people on weekends. you can swim with sea lions if you are not afraid of cold water below 10 degrees. spent three days here.

here you can change your gas bottle from Argentina or refill a foreign gas bottle. butane propane. you can also recharge your fire extinguishers. you can also recharge your air conditioning and repair your water heater.

We spent a night here by the sea, slightly below the road, allowing you to be quiet. There is a colony of sea lions of at least 100 individuals on the beach. There are babies in November and the show is worth a look. Parking possible for any type of vehicle.

Sounds like a cool spot, but the road was washed out, right at the fork by the red and white house. This was as of November 7, 2023. Adding a photo of the carnage. I imagine it’ll be fixed before too long.

On the dirt road between Concepcion to San Roque there aren’t many pull-outs, but we found this one right when we needed it. We parked our van here overnight on a Sunday and only heard a few vehicles pass in the night. There’s a stream and a few small waterfalls here. A bit further back from the road, there’s a grassy patch suitable for 2–3 tents and not visible from the road. Would be perfect for cyclists or motos. We felt very safe.

parking ist now 7.700 Pesos for 24 hours. its save but the guard did Not allow US to sleep in the Car and needs the Car Key to move the Car as the place ist very busy. for us all was OK. there are many other parking places in town Center. some with hight limitations, some without 24h watchmen. maybe someone will Check them all Out?

An awesome place but you definitely need a 4x4 or high clearance to get up that road. We did it with a GMC Savana but it was a bit stressful.

Good garage, friendly and communicative staff, competent mechanics. Nice area to relax (and have a shwarma) while you wait.

Beautiful campsite set amongst many, many palm trees and on grass. You can walk out straight onto a lovely beach with good swimming at high tide. Use of a nice banda for hot water showers and electricity. Lovely bar and restaurant, free WiFi and excellent laundry service in a washing machine! 12 USD pppn

Very noisy. There is a gas station nearby which is handy to get stuff. But it also brings traffic. Right beside the main road.

We stopped here at the end of the day just before night. Around 10pm a truck came lights off. 5 guys unloaded what's look like petrol jericans (probably trafic). Then a care came and parked lights off. The truck left and came back 30 minutes later. An other car came and put it's lights right on our car. A man came with a light and a gun. He said he was a policeman (probably not in service) . He told us to do not stay here because it's a dangerous place. He ordered us to follow him to the next check point located right before Magba. He was effectively a police officer. We finally spent a good night.

Officialy you can not spend the night here, the ranger told us. But when you are here in low season nobody will send you away, she said. Better take the dirtroad a little bit more up north to the laguna, where you cannot be seen from the main road.
By the way good WiFi at the little visitorcenter right after the round bridge.

Outdoor parking, flat lot, awesome location with large spaces. $15 for 24hrs. We parked directly under the Excalibur sign. Security in parking lot a added bonus. Bathroom in Casino an added plus

Parked on the beach for 2 nights, need a beach parking sticker available at all retailer, very nice place! Watch for the tide.

Maged is normally a couchsurfing host, but when we met him, he immediately understood what an overlander needs. A shower and a washing machine! He let us use his apartment for the day, while he was at work. And after work he took us into the city. We had a great time together! He's a great example of the Arabic hospitality, and genuinely a good guy. So don't hesitate to contact him!

Een prima stop als je op doorreis bent. Het is een tankstation met een grote parkeerplaats. We voelden ons hier veilig en het personeel was vriendelijk.

Crossed the border at Brownsville, TX in the morning and made it to this Pemex truck stop for our first night. A little loud but earplugs help drown it out. Bathrooms and cold shower. Does the trick if you need a place to stop + crash. Felt safe, nice staff on site.

Great place to camp, right at the lake. Frendly staff. Toilet and shower available. They also have rooms available. I paid 15$ for one night camping

This is a camping with beach access that can receive 30+ RV and that is opened year long. It cost us 22€ for one night in November. The bathrooms and showers are clean. Shower are 0.5€ for 5 minutes.
