Big and busy campground with some trees. A lots of the Toilets don’t work, the showers are many and good. The lights right next to the spots weren‘t switched of during the night and from the beach there was constantly music coming. Overall for one night it was ok.

Staying here because we need to get some work done in our truck. 800 pesos for a room for 4 people. Room is good, wifi is good, the non- public area around the hotel pool is good. The kids loved the water park which is looking a bit run down these days. All in all a good stop over place if you want good value for a night

Toubab’s price 500cfa, local’s price 300cfa. We’ve seen small monkeys on the road some meters after

We decided to leave. I cannot echo the review of Norbert’s- who copied and pasted his review from 2018. This is not What one would expect from a Gondwana campsite. We left and went to Bagatelle!

Super nice Place in Tamale! Jasper and Mary were really welcoming us. We were the first guests, who arrived by car after Covid. So they were a little bit surprised by our arrival. You can either camp on the ground or they also offer rooms. Overlanders are warmly welcome. You can contact Jasper on WhatsApp 00 233 24 689 8623

¡Me gusta aquí! Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, a full moon, and very quiet. We stayed 3 days with our own private patio and are sad to leave!

Totally agree with the descriptions from other visitors in the past few days. A good place to overnight but nicer options for longer stays a ways to the south. OTOH, there is cell service here if you need it and there isn’t any south of here until Loreto.

We spent one night here and it was a very safe and peaceful place. A bit hidden from the main road and wide. We found a spot near a big tree to have shadow, it was perfect to enjoy the national park the next morning.

Avoid on Saturday night. The mariachi music blasting from the beach 200 yards north is so loud it will keep you awake.

Avoid. Extremely loud mariachi music blasting out of a constant stream of cars all night.

whole BLM appears to be a flood plane. It is unclear where roads are to drive in daylight. Gets more water than most AZ BLM evidence: few cacti, lots of shrubs, even some decent sized trees. Lots of birds because they prefer plants they can perch on. I was even buzzed by a hummingbird. Quiet. Four bars on phone.

As described, a very pretty spot to camp.

Cyclists/tents (as we are): be aware of the increased water level of Río Baker when there is heavy rainfall. We were just in time to move the tent during the night. The end of the entrance ramp (use the sides for your safety) is fine, it’s not a steep slope at the end and high enough when the river overflows.
Enjoy!

I would not recommend staying here! we parked up for the night here not realising it’s in the centre of a prostitute ring.
Two cars and a van started circling us. We chose to ignore them for a while however they began pointing at me. We then left as we felt unsafe and they followed us for the next 15 minutes. The streets around were full of woman barely wearing anything/ naked.

Site is off route 7 with great views of the valley and Mountains. Site is large enough for multiple vehicles without being crowded. Didn’t have cell reception but a good place to sleep for the night!

Drove here with our tow truck to check if we could fit, and there is no way any travel trailer or rig bigger than 20 feet can get in here. Couple tight turns before the ranch and the entrance is on a very tight turn. NOT SUITABLE FOR BIG RIGS OR YOU LL BE IN TROUBLE.

second option to see the crocodiles. Very nice spot to stay overnight, avoiding the difficult uphill piste. 1 hour walk (3km) to the actual guelta Matmata.
...but the 1st big croc was already 200m behind the car. They are very, very, very shy!
The piste was tricky. It was necessary to reduce air pressure!

BLM, we drove in pretty far in without having to use 4x4. The further in you are the less road noise there is.

22$ for full hook-ups. cheaper options available too, but not positive on specific prices of those. Easy pull thru sites, large and not crowded. Hiking/biking, small lake for fishing and kayaking.

As the previous comments, basic but cheap in a lovely colonial building. Wasn’t as light or noisy as expected at night. MX 300 for the cheapest room. We paid MX390 for a two bed room. Showers are hot after a few minutes but no toilet seat!

sem estrutura para acampar, banherio quebrado e muito sujo, sem iluminação nos banheiros, na beira da estrada muito barulhento a noite, aberto e sem segurança, poderia ser melhor mesmo sendo grátis.

Good Chalet Accommodation, Self Catering, Aircons. Need to go this Office to get Motswedi Campsite Allocation, payment, etc. Also for Check-in for Haak & Steek Cottage. Shop has little food, but some good curio's. Camp has own waterhole with lighting at night. But not so many animals [2018][2023]
